The Lake Cottage:
We have diligently worked at designing a lake cottage experience for you and your friends/family so you can relax, getaway and have fun. Our place is stylish yet comfortable, our cottage is cozy, cute and although it has a smaller footprint in the common living area, the land is large and our lake views are simply fantastic. Oh, and we do indeed try and provide an affordable getaway experience.
The canopy of trees that protect our property feels like nature is hugging you, protecting you from the elements. Our lake cottage is located north of Muskoka region in the Almaguin Highlands area. We think the landscape in this part of Ontario's cottage country is spectacular, more scenic up here, more mountainous regions, more peaks...
THE OUTSIDE:
There are plenty of lake cottages available to rent. The question is, why should you stay at ours? Our property is not simply a cottage with a dock next to a lake. There are plenty of those to choose from. Our property sits on 2 acres of land with scenic forest around it and ample land to play, enjoy, relax.
And the lake views are simply, well, fantastic. This is a special place. It has ample room on the outside, there are several sitting areas across the whole property that will satisfy everyone. We have an ample waterfront and beachfront with direct access into the water for anyone. NO LONG STAIRS to climb up or down to get to the water. Large yard areas to play games, picnic, have get togethers and even pitch a few tents if you want.
We have a fabulous Fire Pit area for those cozy nightly fires and even have a humble little club house built for the little kids.
You will certainly enjoy the wonderful Canopy of Trees protecting you all from both over bearing sun and rain. If you are lucky enough to visit during the Autumn, you are in for a treat when the leaves change colours. The scene on this lake is spectacular.
As for the waterfront, sit, swim, boat, fish, tan, use the Dock, swim to our floating dock, try paddle boarding, canoeing or kayaking (we include those) or lounge on the multiple sitting areas across the beachfront. Between the Waterfront areas and the large yard areas, you are sure to find an outdoor place for everyone to enjoy. There is an adult kayak and a childrens kayak, a canoe (of course) and 2 paddle boards for you to use with compliments. We also provide life jackets in varying sizes.
The cottage is about 15 minutes from Restoule Provincial Park with its famous hiking trails.
One of the reasons this lake is so popular as a destination is because it does NOT have public boat access. Only private boat access and this is what makes it popular for owners and vacationers. It keeps the lake clean and peaceful for both vacationers and owners.
THE INSIDE:
Although the cottage is smaller in foot print, it has a welcoming personality. We’ve designed the cottage to have a stylish/chic, clean, comfortable style, whilst ensuring it feels like a cozy getaway for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful wonders of being at a lake front cottage. It has 3 bedrooms and a Bunkie next to the main house for additional guests. Bedroom 1 feels ample and includes a Queen bed. Bedroom #2 also has a queen bed and a rather large walk in closet. Bedroom #3 has a Bunk Bed with a single on top and a Full bed on the bottom. If you have small children that require a pack'n'play area, bedroom #1 and #2 can accommodate.
As for the Bunkie, that’s a special place. It has a Sectional Sofa and is used as a lounge room, a play room, a relaxation area, yoga, exercise, etc. If you have guests that would like to sleep in the Bunkie the sectional sofa transforms into a queen bed as well.
KITCHEN:
The kitchen is fully stocked for you and your guests to enjoy. With our complements, we have included Coffee (Keurig machine, and instant) and Tea for you to enjoy upon arrival.
NUMBER OF GUESTS:
1 guest: You will enjoy the peace and tranquility of having all 2 acres to yourself. There is something very special about having the lake all to yourself. Take a breather, sit still, look at the lake and just be. No rush.
2-3 guests: Sharing this property with 2-3 others is a fantastic way to spend time together. Enjoy the lake together, enjoy the bonfires, the meals, the kayaks or paddleboards, enjoy playing and having fun. Good times are best when shared, after all.
4-6 guests: The ideal number for this cottage. Although the cottage sleeps 9, up to 6 guests will find the cottage extremely comfortable during your stay and will find the property/land and lake fantastic to share.
7 or 8 guests: Although the cottage can sleep 9, the sitting area in the cottage will feel cramped. On the outside, there is more than enough room to accommodate plenty of people though.
IDEAL GUESTS:
Our cottage is best enjoyed by those who wish to escape to a lake waterfront/beachfront getaway while staying in a stylish, clean place with a fabulous lake experience . We have all the amenities, toys, and land to have a wonderful getaway. Families with young kids or teenagers would be well suited here. Adults, couples, friends getaway will have a fabulous time here.
Our cottage is NOT suited for:
- "house parties".
- those wanting to hunt or go on intensive fishing trips.
-those with pets or service animals. We are pet lovers and would love to accommodate you but some in our family are highly allergic to pets.
-Those wanting a boating vacation. The Lake does NOT have public boat access. Only private boat access and this is what makes it popular for owners and vacationers. It keeps the lake clean and peaceful.
Guests have used our property to get engaged, to celebrate special occasions, to just get away, to establish summer memories with family or simply to stay in a stylish cottage by a wonderful lake so they can enjoy a peaceful getaway with family and/or friends.

You understand that swimming, hiking, use of kayaks, paddle boards, other water items or using the outdoor firepit to build a fire is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with these activities.
You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, hiking, use of kayaks, paddle boards, other water items or using the outdoor firepit to build a fire and hold owner/host harmless. You understand and acknowledge that there are potential dangers that swimming, hiking, use of kayaks, paddle boards, other water items or using the outdoor firepit to build a fire may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person participating in these activities if a person has health risks, or is intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. Please wear life jackets at all times during water activities.
You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you or your guests may incur in participating in these activities on our property. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner or host for accidents or claims arising from swimming, hiking, use of kayaks, paddle boards, other water items or using the outdoor firepit to build a fire.
All Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming to request renting this property constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Guests and Host.
