I’m very sorry the hot tub wasn’t ready on arrival and that it required repeated requests to be serviced — that is not the experience we expect for our guests. We’ve notified our spa vendor and housekeeping to deep‑clean and verify the hot tub before future arrivals and added a pre‑stay checklist to prevent this from happening again. I also apologize for the checkout instructions not reaching you while you were offline. We will send checkout details via SMS in addition to email when a phone number is provided so guests without email access receive them promptly. We are disappointed to read this review, as it does not reflect the condition of the property or the experience we provide to guests. Our cleaning team completes a full turnover before every stay, and the home was inspected prior to this guest’s arrival. Had any of these concerns been communicated to us during the stay, we would have immediately addressed them. No issues with dust, towels, or cleanliness were reported at the time. Regarding the outdoor spaces, the property is in a natural lakeside setting, so elements like pollen or bird droppings can appear between guests, especially during busy seasons. We clean the porch before each arrival, and we would have gladly re-cleaned it if asked. The listing information is accurate. The lake access, road description, and photos are exactly as presented, and many guests enjoy the short walk to the shoreline. The view is correctly shown in the listing, and the property has never been advertised as having a firepit during this stay. The listing was not changed in response to this guest—we simply clarified an assumption. The exterior furniture and seating match what is listed, and the showers function normally. No leaking or mechanical issues were found before or after this reservation, and the height of the shower fixtures is also accurately represented in the photos. We take pride in maintaining an honest, comfortable, and well-kept property, and we encourage future guests to reach out with any questions. We are always happy to help ensure a positive experience.
