Retreat to this wonderful lakeview home with breathtaking panoramic views!

Enjoy relaxed living on a bluff above Lake Tahoe. Nestled in a hollow out of the prevailing wind, every room in this home looks out over the lake, with views across Crystal Bay Point and along the beautiful east shore. Be amazed by every mood the lake has to show, from the sun line rising on the Eastern Sierra to spectacular full moon nights which can be enjoyed from the private hot tub on the deck. Each room is tastefully decorated and the beds have high thread count linens, down comforters, and lots of soft pillows.

Our open floor plan has a master suite with queen bed upstairs off the living room/great room. The remaining bedrooms (second master suite with queen bed, and two queen bedrooms) are downstairs off the family room. We have a wonderful wood stove in the family room that heats the whole house and firewood is provided. The attached apartment has 1 queen bed in the bedroom with interior access to the apartment from the main house, as well as from the garage.

With 3500 sq. ft. of total living space there is room for everyone. There's a two car garage and plenty of off street parking. Enjoy High Speed Internet/Wi-Fi and Cable TV through out the home. We are located just one block from the lake, close to ski areas and casinos, Garwoods and 7-Eleven are just down the road.

Great cabin for large family gathering. We were looking for views and comfort, not fancy. We had 9 adults with plenty of room to spread out. Views are incredible and hot tub on deck that is ready for use was a welcome bonus. Bear sighting was exciting but also a reminder to be careful. Location was great for excursions to incline area one day and Sugar Pine Point State Park the other. Be sure to bring your own staples such as coffee and allow time to complete departure check list such as running and emptying dishwasher.

This property's highlight was the view of the entire Lake Tahoe. Next was the layout of the house which includes three levels each with a seating area, bathrooms in all areas some with two, two kitchens. Could not ask for more! Everyone was delighted with our stay at the Tahoe Mountain Retreat.

Incredible views

This cabin is well stocked and the view is unbelievable. It accommodated two families comfortably. We will 100% stay here again in the future. The location is perfect (super close to Garwoods, easy access to Kings Beach and Tahoe City.) I have never stayed in a cabin with a more breathtaking and expansive view from almost every room and of course from the large back deck where we spent most of our time.

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful Carnelian Bay home

This is our second stay at this property and it was just as wonderful as our first time. The accommodations were perfect for our extended ski weekend with our family. We had a comfortable stay with an outstanding view of the lake. The owners were quickly responsive to any questions we had and we will likely come back again in the future!

Perfect space, magical view

This is a perfect house for multiple things to be happening at once. Our son’s family was in the apartment with the littles that have their special needs. The teens loved the downstairs and downstairs he adults loved the upstairs. It’s so well appointed with spices and kitchen equipment. We wanted for nothing! Loved our stay. Oh, everyone said their beds were comphy!

The pictures don’t do the view justice

The view of the lake was much wider and better than I expected from the listing. Sleeping setup was perfect for 10 people. There is a 6th queen bed but it isn’t in a private room ( shares a common space ) in “the apartment. Our priority was a large house with a good view and this was better than I could have hoped for. I would go back.

Great place and wonderful view!

Group of 5 friends stayed here and it was comfortable, clean, and had beautiful views of the lake. Everyone had their own room and own bathroom which was really nice. Great hot tub and deck as well!

stunning scenery

The home was very beautiful. It had so much room for family. Enjoyed the evenings sitting on the deck looking at the water or sitting in the hot tub. Waking up and going to bed every day looking at Lake Tahoe was the highlight of our stay.

Unbelievable Lake View!

This is the second time we have stayed at this home and it was fantastic! All the comforts you would expect PLUS one of the best views of the lake you could hope for. Just a few minutes from Garwoods. I would highly recommend!

Great place for vacation!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. Great gathering space and fantastic patio with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. Owner is easy to contact if needed, but all the right information was provided in advance. Would stay here again if the opportunity was available.

Family gathering for 8 to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.

The house was perfect for our three small families, ranging in ages from 6 to 70. The view of the lake is spectacular and the location of the house on Carnelian Bay in North Tahoe is great. We have stayed in South and North Tahoe and prefer the latter. If you love wooden boats, be sure to visit Sierra Boat Company.

Perfect Tahoe Property for a Family Gathering

As several people have noted in other reviews, the view is even better than the pictures! We were a family group of 8 adults and two toddlers. The house was very comfortable for us and could have easily handled two more adults (which we had initially planned but a last minute Covid infection left 2 adults not able to travel). It is very well equipped with everything you will need - we cooked many meals in, and also barbequed on the gas grill on the deck one night. The beds were all very comfortable, and the family rooms both on the main floor and downstairs were very relaxing. Don't miss the hot tub! Everyone in our family agreed this was one of the best places we have stayed and would gladly visit again.

Perfect Place to Stay on Lake Tahoe!

Our family stayed here for a week (6 adults and 2 kids) and it was perfect! We loved the view ❤️, the layout of the house, all the comfortable sitting areas inside and outside, the hot tub, and the flat terraced portion of the backyard (great for playing Mulkey). The beds were very comfortable and the cool nights made for great sleeping conditions with plenty of bedding available. The two kitchens were extremely well stocked with dishes, cookware, bakeware, utensils, and spices. Multiple large TVs and great internet. The hosts were very responsive to questions and check in was a breeze. Carnelian Bay is an excellent location. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake and an easy drive to Tahoe City, Kings Beach, and the East Shore Trail (all of which I recommend visiting). I think the north side of Lake Tahoe is much more relaxing and beautiful than South Lake Tahoe. It's less crowded and there are so many great views of the lake. We went horseback riding at Alpine Meadows Stables - which was a short drive - and the horses were great! Magic Carpet Miniature Golf was also a great activity. We drove down to Emerald Bay and hiked the Cascade Falls trail. This trail was perfect for all of us - very scenic, not too difficult, and at the end you get to cool your feet in the water above the falls. 🙂 Staying at this house allowed us to experience the amazing beauty of Lake Tahoe in a truly peaceful and relaxing way.

Breathtaking view!

Our family had the best time staying in this beautiful lodge that had a panoramic view of the lake! We love that there were spacious, private and cute bedrooms for each of our adult children! Great location! Close to food stores and beaches! We felt right at home! It is the vacation to remember!

Best Family Vacation

We had 3 generations, ages 2 days old to 63 years old. This property was the perfect fit for our whole family. Everything we could’ve needed was provided, including crib, high chair, beach chairs. The view was spectacular and the property well maintained and very clean. We HIGHLY recommend this home for any larger families.

We were very lucky to find Tahoe at a young age. We fell in love and were married, raised three kids who now have pursued careers outside of the Tahoe basin. While we have loved this home and lived in this home we have found that it is time to share it with others. You will find our place to be a comfortable, quiet space, perched on a bluff away from the prevailing winds. Be sure to watch the sunline rise on the eastern Sierra opposite us until evening arrives. Our home has hosted many family gatherings so we know that whatever your event is you will be comfortable and cozy, together but not crowded,
