This private lakefront retreat on Upper Rhoda Pond (Rhoda Lake) offers space, comfort, and thoughtful amenities for families and groups looking to relax and reconnect in the Hudson Valley. Located on a peaceful 78-acre spring-fed lake, the property includes a main house plus a separate guest house, providing flexibility and privacy while still allowing everyone to gather together.

Professionally managed and carefully stocked, the home is designed to feel effortless from the moment you arrive.

THE HOME

The property accommodates up to 14 guests across two buildings, making it ideal for multi-generational families, couples traveling together, or small groups.

Inside the main home, you’ll find:

- Light-filled living spaces with lake views
- Comfortable bedrooms and inviting common areas
- A fully equipped kitchen and dining space for shared meals
- A finished basement with ping pong for indoor fun

The separate guest house provides additional sleeping space and privacy when opened.

The pond and boats were a big hit for my family stay. The house is well appointed, well cared for, clean and large, on a very private lot. This was a five star, long weekend, and I am now a ping pong family champion! Thanks!!

Great property with a private dock, fitness room, tennis courts and air conditioning. I'll say it again - air conditioning. My friends and I do this trip annually and this is the first home we've been to that was air conditioned.Rhoda pond, where the home sits is great and there is also Copake Lake and other fun areas to explore nearby, including falls and hiking trails. For golfers, Copake Country club is about 15 minutes away and Red Hook (which I liked better) is about 20. The town of Hudson is less than half an hour; restaurants and shops abound, along with the incredible Bodhi Spa.The property and home itself is incredible. We are a large group and many of us have children (now mostly grown) so, the guest house was absolutely key for us, as was the basement that has a ping-pong table and an extra fridge. The large living area was great for games, and there is plenty of room to dine together or find some privacy in one of the many sitting areas. Bedrooms are big and private and one has an outdoor shower outside sliding doors. Perhaps most importantly, our hosts were wonderful. Extremely quick in their responses, detailed in their instructions and communicated like we were old friends. I couldn't recommend this hime more enthusiastically

We had a family vacation and this property was great! Plenty of room for the group for activities throughout the day: boating, fire pit, indoor/outdoor dining, etc.

This is a wonderful house just as described! The house was very clean and well appointed. There was plenty of space for our family of 7 with room to spare! We could have fit many more. The kitchen has all necessary amenities needed for making meals and we also enjoyed the outdoor grill. All appliances are up to date and worked well. The water pressure is fantastic! The property worked well for our family of young adults and my mother who has issues with mobility. The owner was very responsive as was the caretaker. An outdoor light wasn’t working, the owner responded to my message immediately and the caretaker came very quickly and made sure everything was fixed to our satisfaction. The property is lovely with plenty of outdoor seating. It is very private and spacious. We were able to enjoy the boats and there were plenty of life jackets provided. We felt welcomed and cared for. We would definitely return!

Another enjoyable stay

We had another enjoyable stay at this property. Accommodations were comfortable, and the families enjoyed the boats, kayaks and rowboat, fishing, exploring the lake, and swimming from the dock. The tennis court was again a great feature. I spent much time sitting overlooking the lake reading, and only left the property one day to visit a nearby sculpture park!

Great for large family

The house and guest house were perfect for what we were looking for. It would be great to see the owner make some updates, but overall all it’s an amazing property.

Perfect for groups!

We have four families that go away to different places every year and this was the best house so far! Plenty of room for all of us, quiet, and lots to do on the property. The only issue we had was wifi in the guest house but the host was very easy to contact and even came to the house to help restore it. It was a great stay!

Beautiful Lake

We stayed here with our extended family. The property was beautiful in fall and was a great layout for multiple families getting together. There was plenty of separated sleeping spaces and a large common seating area. It was exactly what we were hoping for.

House is as described. Very clean and keyless entry so check in went smoothly. Dock is very nice but as other reviews stated you won’t be able to swim from the dock, there is a lot of algae at the edge. We had a large party and house size was very nice. The kitchen was a bit small for our size group but had everything you could want, quite well stocked. Overall house pictures were very accurate. Tennis court and gym were nice to have. We enjoyed are week very much.

Beautiful location on Upper Rhoda Pond

The house and guest house were perfect for our group of 10 adults. It was roomy and comfortable. The location on the pond is fantastic, with lots of outside seating and a beautiful view. Some of us enjoyed the kayaking and swimming while others used the tennis court. The table tennis was also fun. Highly recommended!

Family Reunion

My only regret is that we could not stay longer at the house to enjoy the local l hiking and just sit and enjoy the view of the pond. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had every utensil, bowls, plates, etc for the 11 of us. I would rent this house again.
