Wonderful winter vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Highland Manor! The upper level offered tons of space for our large family group to gather and play pool, games and chat without being on top of one another. We also enjoyed the indoor pool on the lower level. A highlight was sitting in the hot tub while it snowed around us on our last night. Laurie was a very thoughtful and responsive host!

We had an amazing stay at this house for a multi-generational family gathering with 20 people, and it truly worked beautifully for everyone. You can tell the home is lived in and well-used in the best way—it’s comfortable, welcoming, and not the kind of place where you feel like you have to tiptoe around. We were able to fully enjoy the space and all of the amenities without feeling overly restricted. The pool was fantastic, and the hot tub was the perfect temperature—especially cozy and fun during a snowstorm! One of our favorite parts was the large table, which easily fit all 20 of us for competitive card games, family meals, and even making cookies with the little ones. It was a space where memories were made across generations. We would absolutely recommend this home for large family gatherings and would happily stay again.

Great stay

We decided to do a last minute weekend trip for the 4th and we couldn’t have had a better experience! All of my communications with Laurie from check in to check out were helpful and she responded quickly! We had a slight problem with an electric outage in part of the house and she quickly got someone over to help us. The gated community was beautiful and quiet. The pool and hot tub kept all six of our kids occupied for hours. It turned out to be an incredible weekend with many memories made!

Hi Deana, I appreciate you making the time to share your feedback with me over the phone. Although, our housekeeping team is usually very thorough, they had missed the fireplace area completely in your case, so sorry about that. I am glad the lead housekeeper was able to come back that same evening though to take care of it. And I do want you to know our contractor was able to help me with the “freshening up” we needed after having so many guests staying with us over the holiday Season. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the open layout of Highland Manor and the indoor pool. With the new carpet, all the king and queen beds now having pillow top mattresses and some updated furniture, our latest guests have provided us with really positive feedback and rated us 5 stars again, which really makes us smile :)

Perfect for Family holiday

The living space in this house is perfect for large family gatherings. We had our 7 grands, ages 3-8 and 8 adults. The little ones loved the pool, and had a blast on the lower level. The spacious well equipped kitchen was great for preparing meals. The extra large dining table accommodated us all together which was so nice for dining and games. Lots of seating and gathering areas. Laurie, the owner is super responsive. Not easy to get our family to all agree on anything, but everyone said this house made for a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

Great for a large family

We had a large group with multiple families with young kids and had more than enough space. We loved the layout of the house, especially all the master bedrooms and that we could sit together in a large group for meals. The indoor pool was great for the young kids. This property would have been a five except that the outdoor community pool is closed for the season and had we known that before booking we would have went with another house. The state park passes and day access to the beach were nice though.

Lovely home

The property owner (Laurie)was excellent! She called before we arrived to let us know there was a problem with the previous renters causing some destruction to the yard and fire pit. When we arrived I took pictures of any problems that I had seen with the inside of the home and let her know. The maintenance person came and fixed everything except for parts that needed ordering. That however did not affect our stay. The house was perfect for our family and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Thank you Laurie for going above and trying to make our stay a memorable one.

We LOVED this house! The host, Laurie, was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to help accommodate our very large group. The house was much bigger than we had anticipated and we felt like there was room for all of us!The pool was the biggest hit, we went in February 2026 and it was heated to a very comfortable temperature. The door to the pool room has a latch-style lock at the top (out of children's reach) an alarm that will ring if you don't first hold a button before opening the door. We felt comfortable with this system, even with ten young children in the house. To babyproof the double staircase, we brought two gates that slid between the metal banister, which worked well. It felt like a very safe house! Great kitchen (two fridges, two sinks, two dishwashers) and huge table. Lots of parking in the driveway (sloped down, towards the house). Close by to the slopes and shops. Out of the dozen Deep Creek houses of this size we have rented over the years, this has been our favorite and we would absolutely return!

BLESS THIS HOUSE WITH LOVE & LAUGHTER

We visited Deep Creek for a large family getaway on an extended weekend and Highland Manor exceeded our expectations. The home was accurately depicted in it's description as well as the photos. Upon arrival the home was very clean, and we all had fun picking out who gets which bedroom; although they were all wonderful. The open floor plan with the kitchen, great room, dining area, and pool table area was awesome! The biggest amenity for our family was the indoor pool & hot tub located outside. We had some rain over the weekend but the kids had a blast swimming. The kitchen and dining areas were fantastic as well, sitting our whole family. Saturday night we had a steak night on the charcoal grill which was great! The owner was nothing but helpful, friendly, very easy to talk with, as well as do business. THANK YOU for our stay, we were blessed with love & laughter as the sign above the front door states.

Long weekend get away with friends

What an amazing trip! This was the third time we did a neighborhood getaway with our group of five families (10 adults and 9 kids). This house was beyond perfect- there was enough rooms, bathrooms, and beds for everyone. The kitchen is huge and open to the second level so folks cooking can still hangout and be part of the fun. The kids loved the pool table and of course the pool. The adults loved the ability to watch the kids through the large windows so they could watch- but not have to hear all the noise. The hot tub was a hit for everyone- perfect after a day at wisp. Speaking of wisp- this location is perfect- short drive to skiing, tubing or whatever activities you choose to do. The extra icing on the cake was the excellent customer service we received- between the wine and extra firewood at checkin to the quick replies when I emailed with questions or concerns. We are already planning for our trip next year!
