My family was in the area for a wedding and used this as our lodging. So much outdoor deck space! We enjoyed watching the river and the wildlife. Very quiet neighborhood. The property was close enough to both Baton Rouge and New Orleans for day trips. Highly, highly recommend.

View and access to the river was excellent. There was a couple bad deck boards but overall we had a great time. I would stay again.

This was a good place and one of the most affordable for what it offered. You aren't getting 4 full bedrooms because two of them are lofts with beds. Both are open spaces so not much privacy or quiet. But it worked well for my family of 5 and the area was really beautiful. Awesome deck area. There are some things that could use improvement and I shared them with the owner who seemed very receptive. Small improvements will make a big difference for others. Also, I think it's worth noting that the property says pet-friendly and I typically avoid them for allergy reasons. But we had no issues and the place was really quite clean.

The host was Amazing. My friends and I stayed there. We had a smooth check in process. Everything was nice and clean! The house decor was so fitting. The deck was nice. We used it daily. It was so peaceful at dusk and at night! We saw 2 alligators and beautiful wildlife. I couldn't believe how pretty everything was. I would definitely recommend this property! I even delivered someone's mail because it was delivered to the wrong address. The neighbors were so nice.

Great place to visit

We visited family for the first time in Louisiana and the place was amazing clean had everything we needed definitely recommend this place

We enjoyed our stay and the property was as expected and advertised. There were a few issues with the refrigerator door seal, not closing properly and the kitchen cabinets that were all loose. The hinges were not holding the doors so most of them did not open or close properly. The bedroom doors did not close property either, however I expect that could have to do with the humidity. The biggest disappointment was that the Tickfaw River was closed because of potential flooding. While not the landlords fault, it was disappointing being that we brought a boat and jet ski expecting to use it during our stay.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. For the safety of everyone on the river the authorities choose to close the river. We do a thorough check after the guest leaves.

We enjoyed out stay at the Tickfaw river house. Beautiful views of the river and easy docking of our boats. Boat ramp is not far from the river house.
