We had a great time. Very nice location, easy stroll to the lake with sun all afternoon. House is great!!

We had a great stay at the property. The house is beautiful and clean! We loved being able to listen to the records and look out at the pond, enjoying our morning coffee. The driveway was the only 'tough' part of the stay-backing out is a careful and concentrated task!

This is lovely house with a beautiful and quiet lakeside location. The frequent calls of loons were an added treat for us midwesterners! It handled our group of 6 adults nicely. We loved watching sunsets from the deck.

Very charming lake home

Very homey summer lake house - clearly a place with a lot of family memories and charm. Beautiful location, gorgeous sunsets. Only issue was the uneven path getting down to the dock, which was challenging for 70s/80s grandparents, and the lack of a deck ladder with handles. In general, the dock could use some TLC, but the house was great.

Great stay overall. Beautiful site!

We had a small snafu at check in with a wrong code to the door. But even at 2AM thanks to a delayed flight, the property manager answered and was able to get us a new code and in the property. The cabin was beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. Nothing like New England in the fall time.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Hope to welcome you back next time you are in the area. We have a backup lockbox to ensure any smartlock malfunctions, if any especially in the middle of the night, do not affect your stay negatively. Technology can be tricky so having a back up plan is always a good idea ;-)

Overall the house and setting were nice - house had character and nice privacy and the lake was beautiful. We were not able to really use the lake as described because there was only 1 paddleboard in mediocre shape and no kayaks as said in house description. The upstairs master bedroom and bath were nice but the roof angles limited walkable access - both my husband and I bumped our heads several times. I did appreciate the ecology of the place- moss lawn, lots of vegetation for privacy and the pond was crystal clear but wished I could have had more access as other local attractions (Kennebunkport or Portland) were generally 30-40 min away

Andrea, so glad the setting and the lake's beauty came through for you, along with the privacy and character of the home. A quick note on the paddleboard — that one broke right before your arrival, which we let you know about, and it's since been fixed and back in use; unfortunately accidents do happen from time to time. Kayaks aren't part of what's listed or provided, though some guests do bring their own. And while attractions like Kennebunkport and Portland are about 30 minutes out, that puts the property in a great spot as a home base for exploring the area. We appreciate the feedback and hope to host you again!

Great communication with owners prior to and during stay. Cabin is well stocked and spotless and very quiet. Only suggestions would be to provide an electric fireplace since you don't want the indoor wood stoves to be used. And identify the thermostats a little better and maybe put a sticker on each one as there are quite a few for a small cabin. But everything worked fine and perfect location to getaway from the bustle but close enough to Kennebunkport and the coast.

Thanksgiving Stay

This property was so much more then we expected! We were visiting family for the holiday so we only slept at the rental but we can't wait to come back and see enjoy all it has to offer. My granddaughters ( 2 & 5) loved the toys that were provided and the sweet bedroom they shared. We adults were very comfortable and really loved sitting around at night listening to albums. With our family being new to the Lyman area we will be visiting often and hope to stay at this property.
