The location of the apartment is fantastic to visit and enjoy Barcelona,it is in the city center, and after that, you can have a comforting rest with your children or your partner because it´s incredibly quiet.

It is a top-floor flat with elevator in a typical building of the beautiful 'Ensanche'.
It's very well located. The main tourist sites are situated at a 20-minute-walk from the apartment. (5-10 minutes by underground)
It's perfect to go to Barcelona Fair or Congress (5 min. walking)

The airport is at a 15-minute-drive.
High-Speed Train Station (AVE station) is situated at 10 minutes from the apartment.

Thanks to the wonderful and warm owner couple, I had no worries during my stay in Barcelona. The interior of the apartment was so relaxing that I felt like I was staying at a relative's house. I was fascinated by the view from the terrace in the morning and at night. I will definitely stay here again. I look forward to seeing you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this homey apartment. It was a good base from which to explore Barcelona. The apartment had everything we needed to refresh ourselves and self cater. The terrace was delightful for relaxing over a glass of wine. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure we felt warmly welcomed and comfortable. Raul picked us up from the train station and showed us his neighbourhood so we orient ourselves quickly. The hamper was such a surprise! Never have we been so happy to arrive in a city! Hopefully we can return one day.

Wonderful “Home away from Home!”

We wish we could leave more than five stars! We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this quiet, clean, sunny apartment that had everything we needed (and more). Raul went above & beyond with airport pickup, a tour, a fruit basket, wine and food in the fridge. He showed us points of interest on the map and was quick to respond anytime we had a question about the area. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop terrace surrounded by Carmen’s beautiful plants & flowers. The location was ideal - close to many sights and in a safe area. Raul and Carmen, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, hospitality and generosity. We sure hope to go back! Gracias!

Family first to Spain

This was our first trip overseas with our two adult children. We chose this place bc of the reviews on VRBO. Every wonderful review was deserved and truthful. Raul was beyond kind and helpful to people who do not speak the language and needed some guidance. The apartment was perfect for our family and our needs and the location was amazing. I’d stay here again should we ever return. Many thanks to Raul!

Just as promised

As all of the previous reviews have mentioned, Raul went over and beyond as the host of this clean and well located property. We could walk most anywhere in the city we wanted to go. Montjuic is easily walkable within 25 min for example. The roof top terrace is a lovely perk though we used it less due to the time of year we were there. We would definitely stay here again, we had a fabulous time!

Estancia espectacular

Apartamento bien equipado, muy limpio y situado en una zona residencial, muy tranquila y con un muchas tiendas disponibles, como supermercados, panaderìas, carnicerias, pastelerias. Muy còmoda la parada del metro cerca del apartamento, en 15 minutos se llega tranquilamente al centro de la ciudad. Los propietarios Raul y Carmen fueron muy acogedores, facilitandonos mapas y muchas sugerencias sobre la ciudad.Nos hicieron sentir como en casa nuestra. Recomendamos este apartamento sobre todo si se viaja con familia.

Great Stay

The owners, Raul and Carmen, bent over backwards to ensure our stay was trouble free. They were personable and were a large part of why our stay in such a beautiful city as Barcelona and our viewing of the America’s Cup racing was as good as it was. The property was well located within walking distance of the Barcelona subway system. Best of all, the Panet bakery was right across the street which ment we had warm bread every morning. My wife and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Wonderful hosts in a very accessible localation!

First of all we can’t say enough about how great Raul and Carmen are as hosts and people. The terrace, full of green plants and a table and chairs to eat or relax, also had the washing machine- which we find so helpful on our trips away from home. The 2bedroom apartment hadveverything we needed. Just a note: the bed itself was hard, but that was the only thing we could find to say thplace wasn’t perfect! The kitchen had olive oil jams and butter water juice and a fruit basket that really hit the spot! The location had easy access to trains and buses andand was quaint and safe for us. Vacances à Barcelone

Je suis partie à Barcelone avec mes parents pour passer 5 jours et nous étions logés dans cet hébergement qui s'est avéré être le meilleur que nous ayons loué pendant nos vacances. La maison était d'une propreté impeccable et très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien, nous nous sentions vraiment comme chez nous ! Raul, le propriétaire de la maison, était un homme adorable, d'une grande gentillesse, serviable et attentionné. Dès le premier jour, il est même venu nous chercher à l'aéroport avec sa voiture. Avant de nous conduire à la maison, il nous a fait faire un petit tour de Barcelone, une fois arrivés, il nous a tout expliqué en détail : les endroits à visiter, où manger, comment utiliser les transports en commun, où acheter les tickets, et tous les autres bons plans à Barcelone. Il nous a également offert un panier de fruits pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue. En arrivant, nous avons trouvé le frigo rempli de jus, de coca, de beurre, de confiture, d'eau, etc. Raul était exceptionnel et je recommande vivement cet hébergement ! Merci infiniment, Raul, pour tout !

Absolutely Wonderful!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment courtesy of Raul and Carmen! Raul picked us up at the airport, took us on a mini tour of Barcelona, and then brought us to the apartment where we were greeted by a fruit basket and bottle of wine! We were not expecting such amazing hospitality. Raul ensured we understood how to get around and even mapped out the public transportation routes to a few places we wanted to go. The apartment was neat and clean and in a wonderful location to the bus and metro. I highly recommend staying here for anyone coming to Barcelona!

Best VRBO experience ever!

Our stay in Barcelona could not have been any better! Raul was extremely easy to get a hold of before the trip to answer questions regarding our stay and the area as a whole. Raul picked us up from the airport and took us on a quick tour of the area which was amazing! The location of the property is perfect and we loved the maps Raul and Carmen provided for us with must see destinations and local, non touristy, restaurants. It definitely helped us with getting around and having delicious meals! They gifted us a beautiful fruit and wine basket and had a few drinks in the refrigerator when we arrived! We definitely felt spoiled!! The ability to do laundry and enjoy the evenings on the rooftop patio was an extra bonus! We needed the water temp turned down a bit and Raul was at the apartment in no time to assist us. Having Raul and Carmen in the same building is amazing. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I was traveling alone with my 14 year old son and had a early flight out of Barcelona. I asked Raul the best way to get to the airport so early and he insisted on taking us. It was so wonderfully kind. We will DEFINITELY stay here again on any return trips to Barcelona and I have already made sure my friends know about Raul and Carmen. Thank you for a fantastic experience!!

The perfect location and the perfect hosts

Simply: this is the perfect VRBO spot in Barcelona, and the hosts are the best you will ever meet. Raul picked us up at the airport, drove us around town to get our bearings, and volunteered constant support before, during, and after our trip. He even offered to drive us to the train station when we were ready to head to Madrid. You will find no better hosts anywhere than Raul and Carmen. We will stay here any time we return to Barcelona in the future. The property is conveniently situated in a gorgeous Eixample neighborhood, mere blocks from the Parc de Joan Miró and Montjuïc. The Rocafort subway line is three handsome blocks away on Line 1, granting you convenient access to anywhere in the city. This is an upscale, safe neighborhood, where the locals are extremely warm and friendly to visitors. 11/10, truly. Heed Raul's food recommendations. The dining in the area is exquisite, especially if you like Catalan cuisine and Galician seafood. We happened to book a special dinner at Albert Adrià's Enigma for our anniversary, and were delighted to find it was a short walk away, just five blocks.

We had a fantastic stay, our host step us up right from the first point of contact to have the best holiday in Barcelona. Picked us up after a long flight from NZ and gave us information on places to visit, transport, supermarket, restaurants and bakeries.

Great stay in Barcelona

Raul and Carmen were amazing hosts-it was like visiting family. Raul picked us up at the airport and gave us an orientation of the apartment and surrounding area. The apartment was perfect for our family and was comfortable, having everything we needed and more. Location was good and the public transportation was easy to use. Best VRBO Landlord Ever; Perfect Budget Apartment.

Before I get to the apartment, a few words about the proprietor Raul Duran. The nicest, most helpful proprietor ever. He insisted on picking us up at the airport. He provided us with city maps that he marked up by hand with public transit info and key neighborhoods. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary basic foods and coffees plus a welcome basket with fruit and a bottle of wine. The 5th floor unit...reachable by elevator...had a comfortable main bedroom, living room with a dining nook for four, full kitchen with everything basic you might need provided, a second bedroom with a pullout that we used for storing our baggage, and a bathroom with a shower. Luxury? No. But an ideal, clean, comfy The apartment was ideal and a great value.

Wonderful apartment and balcony

Our host was wonderful. He picked us up at the airport and showed us around the city for a bit. The hosts provided us with a welcome fruit basket and starter coffee/tea… Raul had made maps of how to take public transportation and where local restaurants were. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated our gracious hosts.

Home away from home

Just as the title says, “ Home away from Home”was our wonderful experience. Our hosts, Raul and Carmen, made sure of that! The place is at the city center, close to Metro, Bus stations and trains. Tourist attractions like plaza España, casa batlló and more are justa a close walk away. We loved the serenity this place offered and the terrace it had to wind down was the cherry on top. Barcelona is a big city that was made easy to explore thanks to the help of Raul and Carmen. We loved the experience!

Beyond expectations

I had read all the good reviews when I booked, but my experience was beyond my expectations. Here’s the list of things we, a family of four high schoolers, appreciate. (stayed for 4 nights) -The host picked us up from the airport and showed us around the neighborhood on the way to the apartment. -Checking in was easy because he escorted us in. -The host gave us good tips and recommendations on sightseeing and dining out. -The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. -The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of fruits, all sorts of beverages, bread, etc. I had never seen such a welcoming place -The shower had good water pressure and hot water that never runs out!! -The bedrooms were compact, but we didn’t feel cramped thanks to the bright and roomy living/dining room. I found the couch very comfortable, even to sleep on at night. -Good location. Plenty of food options are within walking distance. Easy access to public transportation, although we often ended up using Cabify or Uber, which can be cheaper for four of us. We will definitely go back!

We love everything about this apartment from shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. Everything is close-by. Number one that we enjoyed our stay most is our host Raul and Carmen. Raul is an exceptional host. He had ready fruit basket on the table, milk and orange juice in the fridge, different kinds of coffee for the coffee maker. We will back off course after the La Sagrada de Familia is finished. If you need anything, I mean anything --Raul is ready at your service. This guy is ready to help even though he works also at the same time. He will go out his own ways to help you while working. Raul and Carmen are just an exceptional hosts. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again for the great stay!!

A great place to stay

The owner (host) is simply extraordinary ! He greeted us at the train station and came with us to the unit. He spent an hour with us explaining the points of interest in the city. On our arrival, we had a nice fruit basket on the dining table. He took very good care of us much above usual standards. We will never this man and all the treasures of Barcelona. Great week in this unit with a beautiful terrace that we had a chance to enjoy !

Celebrating a big birthday in style

Amazing apartment, superb hosts, perfect location. Had the most wonderful time celebrating a big birthday in Barcelona. From collecting us from the airport, providing a lovely introductory tour, tips on where to visit/buy things, Raul made us feel so welcome which made the visit even more special. Highly recommend! We’re definitely coming back in the future.

My wife is from Galicia, in the north-west of Spain and she works as an accountant for a computer company.
We have two children. We live in the same building where the apartment is, and I managing my own apartment.
I like swimming and listening to music.
We love going to the beach and traveling.

It is a quiet sunny place in the city center. It´s very well communicated and you can walk to the main sights in town. There are a lot of a good restaurants, markets and supermarkets if you prefer to cook at home.
Barcelona Fair is close to the apartment.
It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by taxi or airport bus, and 5 minutes to Sants station where you can take the High-Speed Train (AVE) and go to Madrid in two and a half hours.
Other important thing is that we live in the same building, so we can help you on anything that you need quickly, so very personalized attention.
