Staying at Jennifer's apartment in Providence was very convenient with easy access to the interstate, enabling my husband and myself to visit our Rhode Island friends and relatives. Also, it was close to all the wonderful restaurants on Federal Hill; I suggest reservations as they can get very busy at dinnertime. We dined at Pizzico and Angelo's--both were very good and have been in business for decades. The accommodations at Jennifer's apartment were comfortable and very clean. We also had a designated parking space a block away; in that busy area, it was reassuring to have it, as there is no overnight street parking. Providence is centrally located, so one can easily use the interstate to go North, South and even East. We drove to Fall River to visit a sick friend at St. Anne's Hospital, and it took very little time.

The unit itself is clean and decorated beautifully. There was a sweet welcome note and mug of candy waiting for us when we arrived. The location of this property was the drawback. The parking area is dark or very dimly lit in some spots. There is a bar on the corner attracting a savory crowd at late hours. The stairs up to the unit were so steep and narrow we almost could not get our luggage up. The host did not reply to my concerns upon arrival but did agree to a full refund the following afternoon. We did not end up staying at this property but for those more adventurous than us, it was cute and clean.

My husband and I loved this sweet little place. It was very smartly decorated and had just about everything that we needed for our stay. The parking was very convenient. We had fun playing ping-pong, Jenga and cornhole in the fantastic backyard! My favorite part was sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea and looking out at the city landscape.The house itself is walking distance to an incredible array of dining experiences and fun, funky shops. Next time, we would opt for a first floor apartment in the same building, but, that’s just because we are OLD.

Great place

Very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. Neighborhood was lovely with great food options. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful little apartment in Federal Hill, a very walkable and cool area with great bar & restaurant options. Convenient to downtown Providence also. Clean and convenient, would definitely stay here again.

Loved the area around the Skyline View Apt. Easy walk to The Nitro Bar every morning and only a couple blocks from Federal Hill and great Italian. Loved sitting on the porch and easy parking as well. Hopefully will get to stay again next year.

The property was great. Clean and easy to access. The only disappointment was the very strict guest policy which prevented us from inviting our son and his wife for dinner.

Cockroaches

Our stay here was a short one. The listing was accurate, check-in was a breeze, and the place seemed clean, but early in the evening on the first night, cockroaches started appearing. Our host responded to our message, but gave no indication that there was any urgency to their response time. We made the decision to end our stay prematurely and ended up staying at a hotel instead. We didn't want to stay in a place that may have even more cockroaches appearing as the night continued. We especially didn't want to have any of them traveling with us in our suitcases by laying eggs. Our host was not willing to provide much by way of a refund for our troubles and VRBO support was not able to provide any resolution for us either.This is likely the last time we'll be staying at a place like this. When it comes to consistency with cleanliness and responsive staff, some VRBO hosts just don't cut it and are clearly looking to make a quick buck. Side Note: There was no indication on the listing that there would be construction happening in the backyard that involved power tools. It made the deck largely unusable. I understand trying to make improvements, but then you need to be honest in the listing about the timing of the stay.
