Pool was great, the kitchen completely lacked any supplies, ie: there was nothing there not even salt or pepper. therwise we had a nice stay.

Great place to stay, just my wife and I stayed perfect for us. Enjoyed sitting out in the morning catching up on things, monkeys going by in the trees.We would walk into town along the beach for coffee (Roots Bakery)took us about 30 mins. The place is very close to Samara and the beach.Katie was excellent for communication, the house and outdoor was very clean.Would have no issues staying here again.Thanks Katie

Pool time!

This property was such a wonderful retreat for our family. We wished we had stayed here for our entire stay in Costa Rica. The house was so clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool was amazing for the kids with a deep end and shallow platform. We didn’t want to leave once we got there. The host was great in solving an issue with the AC quickly. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed this house the 6 nights we stayed. Location to the beach is a short walk. The fishing/tour boats, kayaking and I’m sure other water tours start on the south end making walking to and from simple. During low tide you can walk the beach to downtown. The bus stop is near and picks up every hour and a half-ish. We enjoyed several nights in the pool. The outdoor shower and restroom were awesome when returning from the beach, before and after swimming in the pool. Host was very responsive and pleasant to meet when she arrived. The house has basic utensils, cooking equipment towels and linens.Note: Once you turn off the main road take the first right, house is the first gate on the left.

Conveniently Located

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at this villa. It is conveniently located between Samara and Playa Carillo making it easy to access a variety of activities. We were welcomed by our host Katie upon arrival and she gave us a few pointers regarding the area. She was available if needed but we had a car and did most of the discovering ourselves. The property has a wonderful pool and is modern and comfortable inside. We were lucky enough to see a large group of howler monkeys from our terrace, as well as various bird species including a screeching owl who resides in a tree on the property. It was hard leaving after a 7 days stay. We hope to be able rent this property again the next time we visit Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

I stayed at this property for seven days with two friends. The home itself was beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The pool was excellent, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the location was ideal, as the beach and grocery store were an easy walk away.Communication with the host, however, was inconsistent. Just before our arrival, we were notified that the washer was not working and would be repaired once a part arrived. We followed up during our stay but did not receive a response, and ended up paying to have our laundry done off-site. The coffee maker also broke during our stay, and it took a couple of days and some back-and-forth before a replacement was provided.One item not mentioned in the property description is that power and water outages occur fairly regularly and can last several hours. While these outages are beyond the host’s control, advance notice in the listing would have allowed us to better prepared, and providing bottled water would have been helpful.Overall, the property itself is lovely and I would most likely stay again.

I highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to Samara! We would definitely return. My 2 teenage daughters and I stayed here for 3 weeks in July while attending classes at Intercultura. The drive to Samara was very easy (2mi). The property is private and gated with easy parking. We were able to visit 3 stunning beaches within minutes. Torito is walkable, but we chose to drive a little further to Playa Carrillo. The host, Katie, provides very quick communication and tips. Her home has been thoughtfully decorated for comfort and function. The backyard and pool are absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the beach and pool almost every day. The large covered back patio was amazing during rain showers. The kitchen has all necessary items needed for cooking. There are several grocery stores in town to purchase food and spices for cooking meals - though Soda Jardin is super close and delicious!!

Super schönes Ferienhaus

Das Haus ist toll, der Pool, der Garten drum herum, die Pflanzen, Vögel und die große überdachte Terrasse machen den Aufenthalt sehr sehr angenehm.Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, gute Matratzen.Man kann zu Fuß zum herrlichen Strand laufen, ca 8 - 10 Minuten. Auch kleine Einkäufe kann man ohne Auto erledigen und es gibt am Weg kurz vor dem Strand einen Fischer, der frischen Fisch verkauft (es ist sehr hilfreich wenn man dafür ein wenig Spanisch). Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem Haus.
