Mingo Cabin at Big Pine Retreat

Mingo is a cedar cabin tucked in the deep woods with amazing views, located only 4 miles from Old Man's Cave! The hot tub is located on the covered back porch which sits high above the forest below, offering a very private experience. The interior features a modest sized and comfortable living room with main floor master and a loft bedroom. YouTubeTV and Wifi are both available. Mingo is located on over 40 secluded acres with hiking trails right outside that lead to 21 Horse Cave, Airplane Rock and Chapel Falls. This cabin is perfect for a couple’s retreat or a small family vacation.
Big Pine Retreat is 40 acre oasis, with waterfalls, caves and thick woods for guests to explore. Rock formations are amazing on the property. The property climbs more than 900 feet, starting roadside all the way to the peak.
Our driveway is a mix of pavement and gravel. The pavement is on the steep sections, with gravel on the flatter areas. All cabins are located on flat, easy to walk plots. We recommend a powerful vehicle and if weather is inclement, 4WD or AWD is most helpful.
Your cabin will have all the modern amenities you would hope for in a getaway cabin. Our goal is to offer rustic cabin experiences with high quality at an affordable price. We have one, two, three and five bedroom options so we can host a couple along with small and large families.
Big Pine Retreat is a hidden gem in the heart of hocking hills. Tucked into the deep woods, we are nestled between state forest and two hollows. You can hike from your cabin directly to 21 Horse Cave, Airplane Rock and Long Hollow Waterfall. Each cabin is privately situated and provides a quiet, peaceful getaway. And our location is ideal, only one mile from Conkle's Hollow and 4 miles from Old Man's Cave and Whispering Cave. Must be 21 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended
