This is the 2nd time staying here and location is perfect for exploring Cache River. Brent and Wendy are amazing hosts and excellent at communicating. Already booked in November to come back for a week of relaxing with friends and doing some hunting. I highly recommend staying here if you want something clean, good communication and great location.

We came to Cape Girardeau for graduation and stayed here for the weekend. The beds were comfy, the outdoor space was lovely and the kitchen was spacious. They have a dart board, plenty of games and movies and have a pool table you can actually use because it’s not crammed in a corner! The hosts are wonderful people who respond quickly. My family all wished we had time to stay another night.

Wonderful hosts with perfect communication all through the vist. Property is large enough for 4 couples, the gazebo with the firepit in the middle is perfect for fires in the other 3 seasons, was too hot to use it this time. Plenty of things to do, with a pool table, dartboard, board games. Yard is large and it's quiet other than road traffic. Decorated well in the hunting/fishing theme. Pets were welcome which is what we were after in trying to get away from an over abundance of fireworks in our area this year. Definitely worth checking out and bringing friends along with you.

My 3 girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay at cabin. The outside gazebo and fireplace was great to enjoy the outdoors. We also liked the pool table. The place was great for 4 people- plenty of space, had all the kitchen itemswe needed. Overal a great weekend. One of my friends left a ring in a bedroom and the owner messaged me and then promptly mailed the ring to me- excellent service!

Amazing place !! Brent was super nice and was quick to respond to our questions! The fire place was nice and a great place to make s'mores and unwind! Would definitely stay here again !

Family Vacation Stop

We stayed here to break up our drive to the Smoky Mountains. It was a great cabin with fun activities for us all. We loved the fire place in the gazebo! It is accurately described and a great place for a quick stop or weekend getaway.

Everything was great. Had plenty of space for the 5 of us and hunting gear.comfortable beds and nice amenities.Did not take advantage of the outdoor patio or grill or other amenities but all seemed ready to go with firewood for the firepit. Host was fantastic. sent pictures of the area, restaurant ideas and stayed in touch our entire trip

Perfect Hunting Cabin

Family and I came to southern IL to hunt snow geese, the house was perfect location, and just as described in the listing and pictures. Hosts were fantastic and very helpful. We will stay here again if we are back in the area!

Very nice property within a reasonable distance of Cape Girardeau. Beautiful scenery and spacious accommodations! The hosts were very responsive and the welcome note, snacks and bottled water was appreciated. Thank you again!

Hosts are super friendly. House was clean. Kitchen was well-stocked. The gazebo is awrsome! Pool table was great fun. Lots of things to see and do not far away. Peaceful and quiet.

Family Mini Vacation

We went to Garden of Gods and Sand Cave we enjoyed the cabin and the gazebo and campfire were awesome. I seen 4 deer the first morning at 5:and I seen a coyote the next morning...Loved it

We have a pair of red foxes that live by the pond, and a band of trash bandits(raccoons) that help me with the trash if I don't get it picked up quickly. Last week we had a turkey with several poults cross the yard as well. Glad you enjoyed the stay. I also recommend the Little Grand Canyon, Inspiration Point, and Bell Smith Springs if you get a chance to visit again.

Family and friends hunting trip with kids

Was a great property for our duck hunting trip to the area for four adults and four children. Great communication and friendly hosts! We love the place and we’ll be back for any future trips. Outside gazebo is fantastic as well.

Great Stay

This place is just what we needed for our snow goose hunting camp! Place was clean and tidy and even had a pool table that made for hours of fun! Host went above and beyond to be helpful and was excellent with communication and was even kind enough to bring us some snow goose summer sausage (which was delicious)! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!!!

Great hospitality!!beautiful Property!!

The property is beautiful and you can walk into Shawnee National Forest right out the back door. The owners were awesome. They cooked supper for us the first evening there so we would have a hot meal when we came back from hunting. Will definitely be back.
