Beautiful getaway in Gallatin Gateway

Beautiful property fully stocked with everything you need to get away from it all. Nestled in the foothills with breathtaking views of the mountains. Horses, deer, cottontails and birds are your neighbors. Full kitchen and gas grill make cooking a breeze. And washer/dryer came in handy. Lots of beds and seating areas -- perfect for extended family outings. Fully stocked with books, games, puzzles -- and TVs if you need them. And, our hosts were gracious and more than helpful. Would stay here again!

fly fishing trip

Stay was great. This was 3 guys on a fishing trip and the property was perfect for a party of 3. The location is great, located right in the middle of the best Gallatin fishing spots.

Quiet Stay

Communicate with owner was good. House was quiet as it backs up to ranch property. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. AC worked pretty good as the weather was hotter than usual. We opened the doors in the evening enjoying a pleasant cross-breeze. The house is in the back of the owner's property which is not a complaint but is descriptive for those who might feel that is important. WiFi was iffy at times, but the owner had told us they were working on it. The owner checked on us to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed our quiet stay. The property would accommodate 4-6 pretty easily.

Quiet country cabin with beautiful views!

Small cabin worked perfect for our stay in Bozeman. Close to the canyon to Big Sky, but close enough to the town of Bozeman. Thoughtful host with helpful recommendations for activities.

Superb Stay

We loved our house. It was super clean. The beds were comfortable and the whole house was just a great and cozy experience. Our hosts were amazing and fun to talk with. Sherry gave us lots of fantastic recommendations. It was the perfect place to stay as a central hub for all we wanted to do.

Wonderful experience

Such a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I wish I could have stayed longer. I will most definitely be back. Easy to find. Shelly was very attentive to any needs. Made friends with Ziggy their cute dog & even fed their horse an apple right from my hand. Truly a great experience in a wonderful location.

Big Sky Holiday

Nice cozy place for the holidays. Perfect space for a family of 4, maybe 6. We enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful mountains and a family of deer visited us each morning. It's about an hour's drive to Big Sky, closer to Bozeman. If you want a serene cozy stay, this is your place.

A Nice Place to Stay While Attending a Montana Cowboy Wedding

My husband and I attended a family wedding in Bozeman, Montana, in June, 2022 and chose this guest house cottage as a good location from which to attend the wedding activities but also to do some sightseeing. Sherry's cabin served as our home away from home. It was thoughtfully well-stocked with items most travelers have no room to pack nor wish to buy for only a week, such as condiments and spices, flour, cooking oil, oatmeal, and coffee to name just a few. She supplied binoculars on the windowsill to watch the wildlife, books, DVD's, and toys for kids. Actually, if you forgot it, you could find it somewhere in the cabin! :-) The property was surrounded views of mountains, hills, and pastures where a few horses grazed and allowed us to pet them. A resident eagle on the lamp post and a prairie dog added to our entertainment as we sat on the swing on the back patio. Sherry checked in with us from time to time to see if there was anything we needed and also suggested a trip to Spanish Creek Canyon for a sight-seeing excursion which held breath-taking views of the mountains and Spanish Creek. We also were close enough to visit Palisaides Falls. Our trip to Montana was memorable in so many ways and thanks to people like Sherry and her husband Clark, we shared a bit of western hospitality.

Great Getaway Close to Bozeman

Great ranch outbuilding about 20-min outside Bozeman. Heard of deer grazed in the yard most evenings. Any problems (like burned out lightbulbs) addressed that day or next. Would stay again.

Big Sky 2022

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was well placed between Big Sky and Bozeman, and of course close to the airport! The property was warm and cozy and very quaint and quiet- which was what we were looking for. Sherry our host was super friendly and made sure we had plenty of pamphlets to look at to visit sites in the area.

location, location, location

This little cottage was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend to relax or a comfy place to rest your head while you explore, you won't be disappointed. The host provided everything we could have needed and gave so much fabulous info on the surrounding area and things to do and places to visit. We are looking forward to booking again soon!

Great spot for experiencing Montana

Escape to nature and relaxation

The guest cottage itself was simply perfect. Not only was the interior very accommodating to one's comfort, the exterior of the front porch, complete with wicker rocking chairs and bistro table/chairs, was ideal for soaking up the beautiful surroundings of the countryside. Whether being entertained by deer in the yard, varied birds with their vocals in tune, lush green vegetation and gorgeous skyline, we totally relaxed with our coffee on the side patio and lunch/wine on the front deck. Driving to Big Sky, Bozeman, and other communities was easy. Location, location location was another enjoyable treat. Loved all 5 of our days !

nice and quiet

Home was nice and had what we needed. Could have used an air conditioner in the downstairs bedroom as it did get quite hot a few days but fortunately the evenings cooled down so it was ok. Views were great and location was convenient for all we wanted to see and do.

Cozy and relaxing 😌

Beautiful and peaceful seeing

When we arrived the home was clean, warm and lights on. The home was tastefully decorated for Christmas and the kitchen well stocked. The hot drinks provided was a hit with my teens. The setting is beautiful and truly tranquil and yet not a far drive from the Bridger bowl ski area or big sky. We skied/snow boarded, went snowmobile and snow hiking. We definitely hope to return in the future.

Sherry, a Retired United Airlines Flight Attendant after 36 years, resided in Littleton Colorado for 30 years.
In 2004, moved to Bozeman Montana and purchased a Recreational Rental business with her son and operated and grew the business for 10 years until it was sold in 2013. Sherry's husband is still traveling and raising Capital Funds for Christian organizations and schools. Her son, who operated the Rental business moved to Seattle to become a member of the largest Sea Ray dealer in Washington State and is a Yacht Broker.
Sherry became a grandmother and enjoys sharing new experiences with her grandchildren AND enjoys meeting and sharing Montana with her guests.

Before purchasing the property, I would come out at different times of the day and sit at different spots on the property. It was beautiful, peaceful, with wonderful views. The gold in the sky from the sunrise and the pink reflection of the sunset against the Bridger Mountains, became a yearn over the busy, Littleton, Colorado life.
It was that "special place", I had been looking for, over the years.
I saw an opportunity to share with those who visit Yellowstone, MSU parents, skiers, explorers, snowmobilers, fly fisher people and family.
