A very calm, comfortable property. The single-car garage and fenced yard made my choice easy! And Ashley was very willing to take care of a minor accommodation for my disability when asked. She also was always polite and courteous. I stayed here for a mental health retreat, soaked in the calm of the location, and left feeling refreshed.I traveled with a dog and my only hiccup was not with the property itself but not realizing there are two large, loud dogs next door. Just letting my dog out front at night (on a leash) cut down on almost all loud encounters.

Location was great for getting to shopping, dining, and tourist locations. Host was friendly. We had a relaxing trip. Nice to have garage to park in from Friday nights storms!

Weekend escape

Very clean lines, easy location to everything. Nice to have our own garage if needed. Beds were comfortable.

2/10 Terrible

A Security Concern

We arrived to find the front door open and a damaged lock/striker plate. The contact phone number was not in any of the email communication received after payment and was finally located by going back on the Hostfully site, then scrolling all the way down to find it in small print on the original listing. I exchanged multiple texts with the host in which she never acknowledged the obvious safety issue and instead sent repeated instructions on how to use the lock, stated she was waiting on parts, insisted it was secure and mentioned other tenants may have been involved in creating the lock/door condition. She did eventually agree to have it fixed the next day. The handyman did arrive next day but went to get parts, leaving the patio door open while we were not there with all of our personal items inside. Also the deadbolt below the electronic lock had been removed. I am happy to provide pictures showing the clearly damaged lock/installation. There were ants in the bathroom along with multiple bottles of half full toiletries on the shower floor and food in the fridge. A simple apology and acknowledgement of the lock safety issue would have resulted in a much different response than this one. The actual property was nice and well-appointed otherwise. Unfortunately, the hosts cavalier attitude towards basic security issues and refusal to directly acknowledge a reasonable expectation when renting is a deal breaker.

It welcomes pets and the location is very handy for shopping, navigating the city and is easy to access the airport from. The property itself has become a little worse for wear and some of the upgrades described in the listing need to be revisited.We were very disappointed to find many housekeeping issues, mostly in the kitchen.I had to reclean floors and other areas. The most basic of kitchen needs like salt and pepper and sugar and creamer packets were either non existent or very old. Coffee pot and tea pot were dirty. Drawers and other areas need wiped out or replaced. I replaced the clock battery and the drip pans on the stove. The beds were clean but the shower needs work and smells moldy. The yard and patio were full of branches and leaves as well as trash, like disposable cups, gloves, plastic, and cigarette butts.The patio itself is very unpleasant and unkept. The owner was notified and two people came and picked up branches and some of the trash. I told her there was only one wash cloth and no hand towels but no one ever brought any.I never did find the fire extinguisher or first aid kit.I have given the owner the whole list and feel confident they will look into it. We were very appreciative of things like having a washer and dryer and garage parking. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies but once done the house really is comfortable and served our needs outside of the kitchen issues. I'm sorry to only give it a good enough this time.
