The house was very nice and roomy. Bathrooms were good size and clean. Kitchen well equipped and choice of k cups or brewed coffee; nice to have a choice. The only thing I missed in the kitchen was a soup bowl. I made myself dinner while the others went out to eat and I could have used a coffee mug but I remembered that I had one in the cooler. It was a very quiet and scenic stay. Plenty of things to do nearby including restaurants and shopping.

A wonderful place to stay. A few issues (minor) with some receptacles not working. Great hostess!

Great guest and I would love for you to stay with us again. The house was left in good condition. Thank you. In regards to your review of some receptacles not working. They do all work but the the light swith on the wall has to be on. There two plugs in the living room and one the master bedroom that are controlled by the light switch. Weird...I know.

Very spacious home and large property, good space for what you pay for and for the area it’s located. Host was very very nice and prompt with responding, however the cleaning staff is not properly cleaning the home by any means. Also the yard around the home was very unkept, super tall grass.Immediately after arriving while unloading our bags we set our things onto broken glass all over the counter top in the kitchen. Dishes that had been “washed” andput back were still dirty and had lip marks and coffee residue. The showers were not cleaned properly, nothing was moved or cleaned underneath. Soap scum and residue all over, under and around shower products left in showers. Multiple used and empty rolls of toilet paper shoved into bathroom drawers. Underneath bathroom sinks - very dirty. Shower mat bunched up still soaking wet on shower floor. Hair. Everywhere. - In every drawer, all over the floors, in the showers. Lip applicator laying in living room carpet, which was evident it was not vacuumed. Several dead bugs in front bay window sill & very dusty surfaces and plants. Crusty dried residue and stains on red sofa.Creepy consistent sounds coming from above far left living room corner.Random dog toys found around the home and in furniture. And the floor registers need to be cleaned very badly. Full of several random guests and pets hairs, old food and crumbs, etc.

Large farm house property with plenty of room for our 10 day stay. We chose the location because it was near family and friends and we could do day trips to visit both. There was plenty of room for family to come over and hang out. It’s an older farm house, but in good shape and clean. The second floor has some low ceilings in a few spots and the stairs are a little steep so if you have some older adults in your party, you might take that into consideration … but they let you know that in their VRBO description.Everything we needed was available (dishes, soaps, towels, dish soap/ detergent) It was great to be able to do laundry when we needed. We used the porch and rocking chairs almost daily to enjoy our coffee in the mornings.Kathy was a very responsive host and the few times we needed to contact her with questions, she responded quickly and took care of whatever was needed. We will definitely book the location for our next visit.

We had a perfect Christmas at this house! The house was very clean and had an updated washer and dryer which was helpful. The house was nice and quiet in the country but still close enough to downtown Romeo where my family was located. The host was quick to communicate with and helped us extend our check out reservation.

A small group of us stayed here while we were attending a wedding in town. The house was clean, spacious, and exactly as listed. It provided a quiet and cozy (yet spacious) place for us. The owner is very friendly and accommodated our needs perfectly.

Charming Farmhouse Stay Near Big Red OrchardWe stayed at this beautifully renovated farmhouse while attending a wedding at Big Red Orchard — just 8 minutes away — and it was perfect for our weekend. The home is tastefully updated, with a large yard and frequent visits from local wildlife, which made the setting feel peaceful and relaxing.It was a very comfortable stay, and we honestly don’t understand the negative review left by the previous guest — our experience was completely different. The house was clean, welcoming, and full of charm. We’d happily stay again!

Not so charming

First, note that you are not communicating directly with the owner(s) as they use a third party based in the Philippines and that the owner(s) actually live next door, which at first was okay - but then when concerns arose, they pretty much ghosted us. Amenities were important due to the length of our stay. We arrived to a note on the counter that the washing machine and dishwasher were broken, but they would do their best to get them fixed. The washer was fixed the day prior but no attempt was ever made regarding the dishwasher. There were NO window coverings for privacy - a few white sheers, so we hung sheets over the bedroom windows. Their "Fitness Center" is merely a Bowflex machine in a dungy Michigan basement, which was locked and couldn't even be accessed even if we wanted to. BUT - worse was the dirt/lead/rust that was coming out of the primary bathroom faucets. We were told it was due to pipes that froze a month prior but the plumbing was fixed and if we ran the faucets, it should clear up. It never did - which meant we had to use bottled water for everything. Then there were the bugs!! We were informed "after" our arrival that we may see some "Boxelder" bugs. That was an understatement. When we mentioned this she indicated that they live in the walls so its ok. There was only one tv remote and no extras such as games/spices/bowls/etc. Bare minimum at best. They were kind enough to supply firewood. All in all it was gross/unsanitary and we left a week early!

BEWARE HOSTS Sharon you should let people know that you threw the biggest fit on the planet when we refused to pay you on VENMO and simply requested you adjust your reservation on VRBO like a normal guest. Additionally, you should tell people that the real reason you left early and LIED AN ENTIRE LIST OF DISSATISFACTIONS to both VRBO and Expedia. You stayed at the house because your house was under construction and construction ended early. Please tell the world Sharon that there were a total of 6 box elder bugs near the sunny window in the front room. Apparently living 10 minutes south makes her a complete imbecile and when temperatures warm up in an old farmhouse, heaven forbid there are harmless box elders in the window! Here are the facts: The washer machine was installed last summer and has never not worked. The dishwasher wasn't draining correctly and we advised her that it was functioning but that she may not want to use it. There are and were three TVs with 3 TV Remotes Nothing came out of the faucets except for water. Karen was very kind and cordial - even came over and enjoyed coffee and spent two hours at our home when she first arrived. We had given her a 40% discount because we felt sorry for her. PLEASE NOTE THIS GIRL IS PISSED OFF AT US BECAUSE WE REFUSED TO GO OFF-PLATFORM AND SEND HER A REFUND FOR DOING A SIMPLE RESERVATION ALTERATION. Our farmhouse is cleaned to the nines and if it was gross/unsanitary it was because she is gross and unsanitary. WILL SEE THIS ONE IN COURT

Kathy was a terrific host and neighbor! Her communication and urgency to resolve a minor issue with the hot water heater on check-in were reassuring. Her advice on local restaurants and features was spot on, like the lifelong resident that she is.The property is extremely quiet and private, exactly what we were looking for.If you're attending an event at Meadow Brook Amphitheater (30 mins away), this is the perfect choice.This is an older renovated property. It's done well throughout and completely modern.We'd love to return again someday!

This property was excellent for our family when visiting family in Romeo. Clean, stocked with everything we needed, and a convenient location. Kathy, the hostess, was extremely friendly and helpful; she promptly responded and assisted when I had issues using the door lock. Highly recommend!
