We had a very relaxing visit. The house is well laid out, clean and cute. The deck and steps are very well maintained. The steps are nice and wide with good rails. We never got around to using the hot tub but it looked very clean. The view is gorgeous and so enjoyed setting on the deck. Exploring the town of Mio was fun and had everything we needed. Mio Pizza makes a very good pizza. We also found the county park to be interesting. We saw eagles, rabbits, various birds,and chipmunks which, of course, the dogs liked to watch. Thanks so much for a nice vacation.

This was a great stay! Had everything we needed! Beautiful sunset! The washer wasnt working during our stay but im sure itll be fixed before the next person stays!

The cabin has a beautiful view of the river/lake, two decks to view from. Everything was as listed. Very close to town, stores, restaurants.

Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The home had all the amenities we could have asked for, it was clean, nice location, and exactly as advertised. Highly recommended

Memorial Weekend vacation

The view was great, everything was as advertised and the fishing was pretty good. The weather was a little cooler than we had hoped for, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves.

Mio Stay

Right on the water for fishing and boating. Kayaks, small fishing boat and paddle boat provided. Great fishing. Close to downtown Mio to go shopping and out to eat. Close to the river to go rafting.

We had so much fun! The boys fished for hours, played on the paddle boat, and we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit too! Very quiet and peaceful. Great communication from host too.

Very beautiful area, air conditioner didnt seem to cool things, and the plumbing made gurgling sounds, but everything else was wonderful! Its a very nice cottage, and decorrated very nice as well. I would recommend staying there for sure. Thanks for everything.

The host communication was good. The views were amazing. The top floor is great the deck levels are great. The younger adults we had with us loved the hot tub & they enjoyed it every night we were there. I myself was not happy with all the large spiders hanging above the area (my head) so I was not in it long. The neighborhood was quiet & very relaxing. However, the rest is not as advertised. We were unable to access the water for swimming or using the boats. There is no ladder into the river off the dock & the small low elevated area next to the dock is not usable to get in & out of the water. The water itself was not cleared out for swimming (literal trash in the bottom of the water & natural plant life). The dock was good for FISHING & SUNBATHING ONLY! I grew up at a lake & was use to at the beginning of every summer cleaning out the weeds & trash in order to swim for the summer but this was next level. The basement floor we had the younger adults sleep there & they were not very happy with how cold it was, the spiders were more than they cared for & it was VERY loud (they complained that even though we were tiptoeing in the mornings as not to wake them they could hear every footstep as if we were in their room). The washer & dryer doesn't work & according to their guest book it hasn't for months (we had a new born with us & that was one of the selling points for us to stay there). We found dirty laundry under the furniture that was NOT ours. Over5hr trip & not impressed.

Unfortunately we couldn’t accommodate this guests request for free stay for additional people therefore the barrage of complaints. Firstly as to the cost first floor being cold - the cottage has central air, it was 97 degrees outside that day, we could tell you how to adjust the thermostat if needed. This is a lake house and we provide a solar powered bug zapper the was unused. We cannot control the lake so on a good day you swim otherwise you fish and/or use the available kayaks. There is a washer and dryer but it is not listed as part of the accommodations. Our cleaners adhere to the strictest cleaning policies and we keep pictures after each cleaning. We pride ourselves on cleaning. We also respond and respect our guests so if there was any issue we would have sent someone over to fix it.

Really amazing location on what is effectively a lake because of the dam a couple miles down river. We arrived on a Monday and didn't see another person on the water the whole day, though Tuesday and Wednesday saw a little boat traffic. The paddle boat was defunct as far as we could tell, but there were two kayaks, which we prefer. The hot tub is nice, with a string of lights to plug in in the evening and a great view of the lake. We enjoyed Mio and made use of the Hinchman Acres boat rental to take an 11 mile trip (the shortest they offer!) down the Au Sable, but we enjoyed our time paddling around the "pond" just as much.

Fantastic property with beautiful views. Set up of the house was fantastic and it was nice having two bathrooms. Gas and charcoal grill, and a firepit.

The property is very nice, especially for the price. The location was ideal for us as well. The owners have done a great job with the property and communicated with me expeditiously. The beds were very comfortable. The views were awesome. We would definitely visit again.
