Tuxedo Flats – Spacious Beachside Retreat with Dual Living Areas & Pools

Tuxedo Flats is a beautiful 10-bedroom, 10 full and 2 half-bath home, ideally located just across from the 12th Street beach access in Gulf Shores. Each of the two 2,250-square-foot floors features 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a full kitchen, a living and dining area, a wet bar, and porches on both the beach and pool sides.

Connected by both stairs and an elevator, the two levels can function as one large space or separate private floors, as doors to the stairways can be closed for added privacy.

New for 2024
The top-floor primary bath has been beautifully remodeled to include handicap-accessible features, ensuring that all guests can enjoy a comfortable stay.

Amazing Vacation

We had 21 of us in the house. The set up was perfect! Loved that each bedroom had a bathroom. Loved how close to the beach it was. Plenty of parking. Our only issue was we paid extra for the pool to be heated and we had to call daily for the first half of our trip because the pool heat was not working. Also we ended up bringing our own garbage down to the curb because no one did it for us as stated in our instructions.

Perfect size for our family!

This place fit our family better than any place we’ve had before. 20 of us do this every Thanksgiving and everyone thought this place was best. Loved each rooom having own bath. Also kitchen was hands down most furnished we’ve ever had. Separate ice machines on each floor was a great touch! Would definitely stay here in future! Highly recommend!

We are a family of 23 and had a really good time during our stay. The entrance to the beach was across the street. Two pools at the house was great! Having our own bathroom was a dream. The house was perfect for us. We will come back !!!

Annual Golf trip with friends

Tuxedo Flats was fantastic! We had a party of 6 couples and all had big beds and our own bathrooms and there were rooms to spare! The water quality was great. The property was easy to check in to. It had an elevator to help take bags and groceries up to BOTH full kitchens. It had large living areas on both floors with ample seating for everyone. The pools were lovely and beach access was right across the street! They even had a closet full of beach chairs and floaties. The management company was responsive and the one small issue we had was handled promptly. All in all we had a great time at this property!

Remarkable

Most of my family members were skeptical of a beach getaway. Most beach trips have been somewhat disheveled. Rarely has a beach city experience overwhelming surprised my family. Everyone enjoyed the privacy of having their own bathroom and the 1/2 bathroom on each level. Every staff member were more than willing to assist and showed true southern hospitality. Thanks GSV rentals. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect for Family Beach Week

Tuxedo flats was everything we needed and more for our family beach week. We had more than enough space for LOTS of people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pools and all the beach and pool toys were a major bonus. We had a couple minor issues come up and the property manager was prompt and very responsive. The location, just across the street from beach access, can’t be beat. Many in our group did not want to leave. We’d easily recommend Tuxedo Flats to others and will certainly not include it on our list for next summer.

2023 Girls Trip

There were minor issues; such as ants on 1st level kitchen, WiFi connectivity on 2nd level was in and out, AC on 1st level, some members experienced lukewarm water temperatures in their showers and not the most comfortable mattresses in a few of the rooms. However, management was very responsive when contacted. Overall property was well maintained , adequate space and nice pool areas. I would consider staying again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family stayed at Tuxedo Flats recently and we’re very pleased with the property. The proximity to the beach access was very convenient and the two pools were very popular with everyone. Our family ranged from age 5 to 87 so the elevator was important for us to have. There was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. We had an issue with our air conditioning and it was fixed within an hour of calling. The only complaints we had were the hot water didn’t get very hot, the internet was very weak which affected the television streaming and the beverage refrigerator on the second floor didn’t work. Someone came to check it but it was never fixed. All in all everything was great. The free tickets to local attractions were also very welcome. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a large space for a family gathering.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family takes an annual Labor Day beach vacation, and, we never stay in the same place twice. We have already reserved this beautiful house for next year!! The location is as perfect as you can get without paying the outrageous rate for a beachfront. The beach access is literally across the street! We had a couple of very small issues (toilets filling slowly, or not flushing), and those were resolved immediately! I loved that they had sent me a text while we were in route so we had a quick, easy way of getting in touch with them. The wine cooler on the 2nd floor didn't cool well (not a big deal for us as we were just going to keep extra water and sodas chilled in it, and you do have 2 full sized refrigerators in the house), but the service guy got a measurement for it while he was there changing out the toilet flapper valve, so it will be replaced soon. The huge covered area under the house was great for family gathering in a shaded, breezy spot while the kids swam in the pools. It was so nice that we actually spent most of our stay in the pool area, and only went over to the beach a few times. Overall, the location, cleanliness, space, decor, pools were perfect for us!!
