Welcome to the Roar & Rest Retreat, a spacious and newly renovated home nesting at the foot of the White Mountains. It is conveniently located right on Route 3, making it easy to reach and saving you time on traveling. Our place offers plenty of room for families and groups to unwind and enjoy. Within 10-15 minutes, there are Loon Mountain, Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mountain, Alpine Adventures, Clark's Bear, and many other attractions. 4 minutes to restaurants, breweries, and shops.

This 4-bedroom, 2- full bathroom house comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. The sleeping arrangements include 2 king-size beds, 1 queen-size bed, 2 twin beds, a sleeper couch and a portable crib.

Enjoy cooking in the fully loaded kitchen and dine in the dedicated dining area or the cozy breakfast nook. The game room is the best place to keep your children busy while you are focusing on cooking (don't ask me how I know about this).

For your convenience, there’s also a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer.

Our stay was great and I would recommend this home! The hosts were excellent communicators, the beds were super comfortable, linens/towels just right and appIiances near-new and clean. I (almost!) wished our kids were younger so they could have taken advantage of the fun set-up.

This was the perfect place for our family We range in age 70 down to 8 months and wanted to have Thanksgiving together and did .The home was easy access for the older one and the little ones . The home was lovely and very clean and felt very welcoming .

The house was very clean and communication was excellent. Everything is very clearly labeled at the house. The location of the house was not preferable. Although convenient, it was very close to a busy road. One of the AC units wasn’t working and we had to clean the filter and remove the water. The first floor bedroom didn’t have an AC which I wish I had known before. Although it got cool enough, the road was loud with the window open. For the price, it was overall a good place.

Thank you for your review and feedback, Caitlin. We’re glad you found the home clean, well labeled, and easy to access. Since your stay, we’ve added a dedicated AC unit to the first-floor bedroom, so all four bedrooms now have their own AC. We also always encourage guests to reach out during their stay if anything isn’t working properly — had we known about the AC issue, we would have been happy to address it right away. The home is located along a main road, which does make it very convenient for getting around and especially helpful during the winter, when the road is regularly plowed and well maintained. We understand that the tradeoff is some road noise, and appreciate you sharing your experience.

Enjoyed our stay away from the hub of town. This property was nice with children as toys provided that kept them busy. Owners were very good at communicating. Enjoyed our stay a lot, would highly recommend.

This was the perfect place for me, my wife, and my hiking friends to stay and use as base camp for our hike in the White Mountains (we did the Tripyramids). The house has a great layout, was very clean and orderly, and communication with the host was always prompt.

Perfect “base camp” for our weekend at the New Hampshire Highland Games at Loon Mountain. Far enough from town to avoid the crowds, but close enough that we were able to get where we needed to be quickly. The house had enough room to spread out in the evenings, and all the kitchen supplies we needed for breakfast and dinner.

Wonderful Home

This was a great place to stay, the location is perfect for White Mountain adventures. Kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely updated. Home is tastefully decorated and clean. We enjoyed the playroom and my grandson loved having so many books to read. Highly recommend!

This house was perfect for our long weekend! There were 3 generations staying and there was plenty of room. It was very clean and comfortable! The children loved the game room!! Geng and Bo were excellent hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Drinks/snacks and a welcome gift were left for us. Wonderful personal touches. It was only minutes away from Ice Castles and restaurants. All in all it was a fabulous weekend!

We had a great time at your home. It was very clean. Geng was a great host always available and very helpful. We enjoyed the extras too! Everything was clearly labeled making it easy to find everything. My kids enjoyed the toys and games and we all enjoyed the firepit. We would love to visit again!

Roar and Rest house near Ice Castles

This was super clean, spacious and cozy at the same time, and so close to the Ice Castles and Loon. Geng is an attentive and gracious host. We appreciate the drinks and snacks. Plenty of towels and cookware. The beds are really comfortable. Highly recommend for families with young kids as well as teenagers. Great place would stay again!

Family getaway

The house was perfect as advertised. The location was ideal for skiing as well as going to the ice castle. It was close to lots of restaurants and in town activities. The house itself was roomy and accommodated our son and daughter-in-law, daughter and son-in-law, and three of our grandchildren Everything was set up nicely in the house and it was warm and comfortable during our stay. Highly recommended the house when you are in the area.
