Carol's Cottage is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom vacation home situated in The Settlement neighborhood of The Galena Territory — a private 6,800-acre resort community six miles east of historic Galena, Illinois. Genuinely cozy and intimate, it's the retreat guests return to for the wood-burning fireplace, the private wooded deck, and the kind of warmth that larger vacation homes can't replicate.

Named in memory of Carol, the homeowner's mother — a personal touch that shapes how this home is maintained and shared.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full refund (less $75 fee) if cancelled more than 30 days before arrival.
50% refund (less $75 fee) if cancelled more than 14 days before arrival.
No refund for cancellations within 14 days of arrival.
Policy is enforced as written — travel insurance is strongly recommended.

HOUSE RULES

· Minimum renter age: 25 — primary renter must be present for full stay
· Rental agreement (e-signature required within 48 hours of booking) + photo ID required
· Accurate guest count and all guest names required at booking
· No parties or events of any kind
· No smoking, vaping, or marijuana — inside or within 15 feet of doors/windows
· Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (full-time residents in the area)
· Check-in after: 4 PM, Checkout before: 11 AM
