This place is amazing! Just a 10 min walk from YSU stadium. The wife and I didn’t have to pay for parking for the Eric Church concert. The place was super clean and comfortable we absolutely loved it.

Very clean inside the house. Large spaces. Kitchen is well appointed. Bathroom amentities are great. Neighborhood is one under revival. This house wasn't completely renovated yet but the spaces we used were fine. It served us being located very near why we were in the city. It was quiet. We sat on the porch both nights. Communication was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Great location, excellent host, and we’d definitely stay again.

This heritage home is currently being renovated, with the main floor (where we stayed) done nicely, while the upper floor was currently being renovated. The exterior has some work that needs to be done as well. However, the place was very nice, quite spacious, and there was a large property. It was pet friendly, and our small dog enjoyed his stay. The neighbourhood seemed very safe for our walks with the dog, and the park was very close.It was a pleasant stay. We hope to return in the future.

The inside of the rental was clean, comfortable and fully stocked. The outside, however, was confusing upon arrival. We almost passed the house because the property looked completely different than the pictures in the listing. The outside back porch was covered in leaves and debris and there was a large pile of black trash bags piled up beside the porch. We were confused as to which door to use because the directions weren't clear and there were lots of points of entry. The house itself is very cool. Lot's of nice craftsman style features, but the layout is a bit strange. I totally understand what the eventual plan is for the home, but in the meantime renters need to clearly identify where they will be(on the main floor). A few more little things, there was a tv wall mount, but not a tv in the front room. And the small half bathroom at the side of the house was not flushing well and had to be plunged several times.Some major pluses: Love the huge front porch. Loved the decor. The beds were super comfy! Everything was nice and clean. The main bathroom was nice and roomy and fully stocked.Overall we slept well and had a good time. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!!

We love the old Youngstown houses! House was nice and clean. Lots of space. They were renovating upstairs. Heard what sounded like someone or something moving around upstairs every once in a while. But it’s an old house, they creak. Easy check in! Love that they had security system. Would love to see one they are done renovating.

Cute, clean, inviting

We came from Oregon to house hunt and came across this beautiful home for rent. We are very thankful to have found this gem. The home is beautifully furnished and is very inviting. Plenty of space to spread out and accommodating. The owner was very responsive when asked questions. Very satisfied and would totally stay again.

My people got to Ohio and immediately saw the rental was a tired house. The back had work being done and there was trash bags sitting in the backyard. The futon for a this person was not there, knobs were missing from bureaus and my people decided to leave. They sent me photos which i forwarded to the owner. She claimed that my people should reached out to her. I had supplied her with their numbers, but she did not contact them directly. By the time I saw the messages that had left and rented rooms at a Hampton Inn. My GM requested a refund and i passed this along. Owner said something could have been done if she had been contacted (see above - no contact information provided by owner). She agreed she did not know the knobs were missing and provided a non current photo of the futon. My people said it was not there. She also said the back was under construction, news to us, and the trash should have been removed, it was not. When i again asked for a refund, she said it should be handled by VRBO. I am going to reach out to VRBO to arrange a refund. if not, I am going to contact our AMEX business rep and have non payment order out through.

This house is in the ghetto!!!Most of the street had boarded up, abandoned houses. The rental itself looked straight out of a horror movie on the outside. The outdoor furniture was filthy and in very bad shape. The back yard was overgrown with weeds. There are trash bags lined up along the back of the house. The back porch was falling apart and overall didnt seem safe to walk on. On the inside: The inside main floor was ok. No Central air but two windows units in the bedrooms. The so called king sized bed was a king mattress on a smaller frame so the edges of the mattress were hanging off. The bathroom near the side entrance would hardly flush. The main bathroom was clean but terrible water pressure and the water barely got hot. Let's talk about the critters upstairs!! YES, you heard me. The upstairs was off limits due to renovations, and all the doors were locked. At night critters climb in to one of the rooms. I could hear them walking around all night until morning. I was so disgusted I packed up and left by 7am.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that every guest has different expectations, and we respect that. However, we would like to provide some context for future guests reading this review. Describing this area as “the ghetto” or the home as a “horror movie” is a personal opinion and does not reflect the character of this property or neighborhood. Like many older neighborhoods, ours and some properties nearby are in different stages of renovation or revitalization. We have been operating as a short-term rental for over 2 years. The guest-accessible space is the first floor only, which provides over 1,400 sq. ft. of living space with 2 oversized bedrooms and accommodations for up to 6 guests. The second floor has been intentionally remained closed to guests so we can properly maintain the rental, manage utilities, and focus on providing a comfortable experience in the space being used. We are transparent that this is an older home that continues to receive improvements. The bed setup, neighborhood, and layout may not be the right fit for every guest, and we understand preferences vary. We do wish any concerns had been communicated during the stay. We provide our contact information at check-in and encourage guests to reach out so we have the opportunity to address issues in real time. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of these concerns until after checkout.
