Vacation Rental Description

La Flor (The Flower) is an upscale small beachfront community on the quiet north side of Jaco beach great for families and groups! The Villa is your own private 3 bedroom Paradise rental on the beach 🌸

The pool is directly on the beautiful beach and beach entrance is right there. When the guard lets you out the gate, your feet are right on the sand! This is the nicest part of the beach and a private beach just to the north as well. Only a 3 minute drive to downtown restaurants and shops yet far away from the traffic. It is gated and has 24 hour security. Bicycles are a popular method of transportation and available for rent. Taxis are also popular a cheap form of transportation around (average 2-4 dollars per ride in town, everything is very close as well)

The La Flor Paradise Villa is the 7th Villa from the beautiful beachfront pool and club with waterfalls. It is lavishly decorated with original Costa Rican designs and features a free form dining table. All 3 bedrooms of the villa are upstairs and have extremely large balconies.

Great property manager Meg!

Wow. Place was awesome. Gated community that is steps from the beech. Daughter felt comfortable getting up and running. Very safe. Meg helped us get a great night tour that the kids loved and she also helped me book a massage for my wife and also got us reservations at an amazing restaurant. We will be back.

Needed a professional cleaning team and repairs.

This place was not clean. the floors had not been mopped in a long time and the downstairs toilet bowl was terrible, the master bathroom had soap scum on the fixtures and the grout in the tiles was dirty. the mirror was dirty and some tiles were cracked on the wall. you could see fingerprints on the door.the patio doors did not lock and the lock on the laundry room outdoor did not lock. critters came in because there were holes in the screen and one window would not close all the way. the only thing true was that it was near a beach and gated.Its not safe.the master bedroom mattress was deplorable. Laundry room had a dirty smelly spin basket. I washed my clothing by hand. main BR tub needed cleaning.

Location! location! location! and a great host!

What a great value, an amazing host and a location that wont disappoint! Megan is an absolute pro. She treated us like family. Gave us a bunch of great suggestions for food, tours and local tips and advice. Megan was very quick to respond, followed up and went out of her way to make sure we had a great time! Book this property! You will not regret it.

Vacation with adult children

This was the perfect location for our family. The beach was literally outside the security gate, perfect for our adult children who wanted to surf. The property itself was comfortable, spacious, and a great place to relax together.

Better than expected!

The condo turned out to be an ideal location; maybe 200 meters to the beach, thru a secure, gated community. The beachfront had lovely palm trees for shade, as the Costa Rican run is quite intense for us Michiganders. The place had everything we needed, and was clean. Check in/out was very easy, and the host was very responsive. It's a short walk to downtown Jaco, but seemed very safe, even at night. The host-recommended restaurants served incredible food and were reasonably priced, especially for the quality. We'll be back!

Amazing Place and Host!!!!

The house is clean, spacious, and had nice balconies to sit and enjoy coffee, 1 minute to the pool and 2 to the beach. Megan was very, very helpful and gave us great information on Jaco, restaurants, tours, etc. We felt very safe and the security crew was great. We could get a taxi within 1-3 minutes. 5-10 minutes walk to downtown Jaco. Wifi was great, the AC worked great. It was nice to have a washer/dryer as we stayed for 2 weeks. The master bed was comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place - private and quiet but close to heart of Jaco

I only got to spend 2 nights here but enjoyed every minute. The communication by the owner/manager was excellent and the Villa had everything needed for a great time. We used the pool onsite and used UBER to head into town. Directly next door to the Crocs Casino. Would stay again!

Great host and location

Arranging the stay was seamless. Check-in was as easy as it gets. The location of the villa is perfect if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the strip. Just a few minutes to everything. Megan was great. Any issues we had she rectified immediately. She helped arrange most of our activities and made certain we went with people who would keep us safe. We had a great stay at Megan's villa and plan to go straight back to it next time we're in Jaco Beach. Thanks for a great stay Megan!

Awesome property

This was a perfect spot for our first visit to Costa Rica. Spacious, air conditioned rooms, and a well equipped kitchen. A two minute walk and you are on the big beautiful beach! Megan was so very helpful , giving suggestions and arranging our excursions and transportation. I highly recommend this property.

Great rental villa for family!

My family and I enjoyed 2 weeks at Meg’s place. The small gated community is right on Jaco Beach, and the grounds are kept meticulously. The pool was a welcomed sight each day as well! It includes a lovely common area for sitting or playing cards as well. The villa has 3 comfortable bedrooms, all located upstairs, and a great veranda on the backside of the house. We drank coffee and watched the beautiful makaws fly in every morning, and often had wine up there in the evening. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen as we cooked and ate many meals at home, or prepped lunches to go with us on our beach trips. The house AC works very well when temps and humidity are high. Just a few feet down the beach is a great casual beachside restaurant named Clarita’s. We enjoyed their food very much! Our family highly recommends Meg’s place! We sure hope that we get back there again.

College Graduation Trip

We truly enjoyed our stay. The location of the Villa was perfect, very close (1 minute walk) to the pool and beach, which were both inviting and serene. The town of Jaco was a short 10-15 minute walk away and had excellent restaurants and shops. If you like to gamble, Crocs Casino is right next door. My son really enjoyed surfing at Jaco beach and Playa Hermosa, which was a short drive away. There is a car rental company a short walk from the Villa if you want to rent a car and explore the National Parks in the area. Our host Megan, was extremely pleasant and eager to help us in any way. She arranged our transportation to/from SJO airport and also recommended some excellent restaurants. She checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything and provided recommendations for a bunch of different activities, including surfing and zip lining. The Villa has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths and had plenty of room for five of us. The complex was gated and very secure. We found Costa Rica to be beautiful and the people to be warm and friendly.

Fabulous 3 weeks!

La Flor, Jaco, CR VRBO 430735 - We had a fabulous 3 weeks staying in this 3 bedroom villa with our family of 5. In general, the house needs a bit of maintenance but this did not prevent us from having a really nice vacation. Here’s what we think prospective guests would appreciate knowing ahead of time: What We Really Liked: Helpful, kind and responsive host, Megan Very close proximity to lovely pool area with wifi Located at quiet end of Jaco Beach with beautiful sunsets Walking distance to lively town of Jaco which was fun to explore Gated, secure small community of homes; respectful, kind security staff and local labourers Friendly and helpful neighbours Comfortable beds with individual a/c in each bedroom + living room Parking for 1 car adjacent to property Need to Know: Refrigerator did not function properly; food had to be transferred to mini fridge and back to regular fridge repeatedly; (Megan was apologetic and compensated us for this inconvenience) Sectional couch while comfy was torn in a few places Cracked mirrors on sliding glass doors in all 3 bedrooms Sliding glass bedroom doors to the outdoor balcony on 2nd floor were difficult to open and close and had to be locked/unlocked with a key only. No manual latches. Also, handles were loose and one door handle was broken. Front door could use a better locking system as the only way to lock the door up for the night is to use a key on the inside of the door lock; safety issue if you had to leave quickly. Outdoor patio glass table on 2nd floor balcony was damaged and shedding bamboo Lighting is dim and 3 light fixtures were either burnt out/missing or malfunctioning

Wonderful!

We came to CR for warm weather and relaxation on beach and near pool. We had two couples and there was plenty of room, we enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon happy hour on the upstairs lanai. This property description and photos are very accurate. The beach is beautiful, the pool is clean and delightfully warm. We highly recommend white water rafting and some of us even did horseback riding on the beach. Megan was quick to respond to any questions we had from the moment we inquired and booked. Megan helped us with airport transfer, and also answered questions immediately throughout our entire stay. The house is lovely, there are a lot of activities available in the area and we also enjoyed walking into “town” where we shopped and dined. We had an amazing time and hated to leave!

Awesome Place and host!

Meg was super responsive, answering any questions and giving tons of suggestions. The house is very comfortable and the location to the pool and beach is unbeatable. The kitchen has everything that’s needed to make anything at the house or you can just walk a few minutes to different restaurants and cafes. I would definitely recommend Meg’s place to anyone with children or teens for all the amenities nearby or couples for a fun getaway. Best location and host!

La Flor Amazing!

The property is amazing and quite beautiful. Meg has decorated her home with loving care. The complex is quite and totally secure behind a guarded gate 24/7. Meg was a wonderful hostess and helped make reservations for all the tours. You won’t regret your stay.

Owner was outstanding in making us feel comfortable - thanks! Property could have a few more amenities - refrigerator had malfunctioned, washer and dryer were hard to use (but probably standard for Costa Rica), sparse kitchen materials -no dish towels or dish rages, lack of bottled water, lighting in condo was dim and hard to see in the place even in broad daylight, several areas need deep cleaning. Enjoyed access to the pool and the beach and friendly people! Thanks!

Nothing short of wonderful

Our vrbo was exactly how it was described. Great location, great home and we had a great host. She took the time to respond to all my questions immediately. Everything went perfectly and Megan even had the foresight to have a Christmas tree up for our usage. That made our day. The kids spent most of their time between the beach and the pool which allowed me to watch football in peace :-). We have already begun our discussions for our next stay at this property.

Awesome location & Host in Jaco!

Stayed here with a friend in December as we both work remote and surf. Location was perfect, about a minute walk to the beach and seconds to the pool. Megan was an awesome host, helped set up our travel to & from the airport as well as anytime we wanted to venture out of Jaco - super responsive and helpful for all of our questions! The house is in a great neighborhood, gated community with security at all times and super close to the town of Jaco. 10/10 stay here would definitely recommend!

Great villa, great location

Meg's 3 bedroom villa was perfect for our family of 6. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with Meg was easy and she was super helpful in answering any questions and arranging our transfer from the airport, a driver to Manuel Antonio and the catamaran tour to Isla Tortuga. The complex felt safe and we were comfortable walking into town for groceries and dinners out. The pool area was nice. Our teenagers really enjoyed playing in the waves on the beach, and sunsets were spectacular every night. As other reviewers have noted, Clarita's right next door and on the beach is a great spot for food and drink! Overall, a wonderful vacation. Thanks Meg!

Great beach location and plenty of space!

We walked nearly the entire length of Jaco Beach, but we never saw a spot we liked better than this one! Especially with a few sodas right around the corner and Clarita's, where we caught about every sunset, not far past the gate. The villa itself had ample room for five. The neighbors were friendly, and the gates to the main road and beach were staffed around the clock, as advertised. An excellent pool area is just a few units away en route to the beach gate--it's overseen by some charming iguanas who sun on the ledges and rooftops. Note that what looks like a hot tub is not actually heated, but with 90 degree weather we didn't miss it--we sat in there anyway while our son made friends in the larger pool. Meg was more than accommodating. She checked in with us regularly via What's App (which you'll need) and arranged for delivery of groceries and beverages (thanks, Jhoni!). She also provided transportation to and from San Jose, as well as a couple excursions--we highly recommend having her take you to Manuel Antonio National Park and stopping at El Avion for lunch. Also have her stop at one of the roadside fruit stands for ceviche and mangoes. Wow. Be prepared to be conscientious with electricity usage, as it's expensive in CR. We ran the AC seldom, but usually didn't need it with the ceiling fans. You may want to buy a bag of ice for the freezer. Wi-fi worked great. I don't think we turned on the tv once. BBQ grill on patio was nice bonus. Would love to go back sometime!

Quiet and peaceful location

Megan was pleasant from the very beginning and remained so throughout. She was accesible and very straightforward. There was nothing secret about her fees nor her rental’s. It TRULY felt like a home away from home. The kitchen had just about everything you need to make a 5 course meal. The living room was majestic with 20 something foot windows. The furniture was very comfortable as well. The rooms were spacious and very nicely decorated. The air conditioners cooled quite well. The pool was safe for kids and in July, perfect temperature. There were beach towels for everyone. There were also additional towels for showering. That was very convenient. The beach was immediately outside through the rear of the premises. That was AWESOME!!! The beach has many different-sized pebbles(where water meets the sand). So, wear some sort of beach shoes to protect your feet. We were a group of 6 and ABSOLUTELY LOVED this rental. Also, in reference to another renter’s allegation of lack of safety. I have to say that we felt very safe. There was security in both front and rear entrances. These were courteous gentlemen that were always very polite. If you’re looking snipers as security guards, then you should consider saving up some money and staying at Camp David. For “normal” people and those of us “NOT” on the run from anyone, it was GREAT. If you go to the pool, DON’T take your Rolex(common sense). Like I said before, great rental from a great renter. We look forward to returning in the future.😊. Community Right on the beach, secure gated community on the quiet North end of Jaco. 2 min walk down the beach to Claritas Beach Bar and Crocs Casino to the left- great restaurants for beers and appetizers! It is also only a 7 min walk into the heart of Jaco where all the action is! I also offer bike rentals as they are extremely popular and safe here in Jaco to get around :)
