The location was wonderful, clean, quiet and welcoming. Everything that we needed was provided and it was a relaxing beautiful view. The last night was too windy for a fire, however we opened the bedroom window and enjoyed the noise of the waves all night long.

This is a wonderful property to stay at. The cabin is spotless. The lake view awesome, steps from the door. The host definitely 10 so considerate, great customer service. Had a great time.

Host was wonderful. Location was central to many wineries and thrift stores. The house was cozy clean and had lots of personal touches. The lake is right out the back door and was changing everyday with the weather.

Very nice place to stay. For an older cabin its was very clean and comfy. The host was fantastic. She even reached out a couple of times to let us know of events that were happening near by.

Our second visit to this lovely little cabin. Wonderful lake view and access. Cabin is always clean and cozy. The coffee and creamer and cookies are such a nice touch and appreciated. Kitchen is well supplied as is the amount of towels in the bathroom. Beds are comfortable and sheets are crisp and nice. Fire pit is a lovely way to end your day. Had a wonderful time and will be returning in the future.

Had such a relaxing mini vacation. The cottage is very cozy with a Lakelife vibe. Everything provided for a comfortable stay. Its well maintained and very clean. The views on the lake are fantastic.Relaxing on the deck was just what we needed.Great dog park nearby. Celina has some good restaurants and visiting Nelson the giant Bigfoot was fun.Communication with the owner was great. Check in and out were easy. We will definitely come back. .

Everything about this place was exactly as the description stated! This is the second time that I have been here.. and I can't wait to come back every year from here out! The host is also amazing and make sure that you have everything you need and checks on you while you're there! I love that you can just walk out the back door and the lake is at your feet!

We all walked around saying "she has thought of everything". The cottage was cozy and relaxing. The waterfront view was AMAZING!! We could not have been more happy with our time there!

Absolutely, great! The floor plan is little different and it is small but comfortable. The beds are comfortable and it it quite! We were in the area for the World 100 at Eldora 25 minutes away. It is perfect ! The view of the lake is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Walmart and grocery stores and other shopping is within a reasonable distance. I will try to book it again in the future.

We cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay for my husband’s 60th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the charm of the place, the view of the lake, the proximity to restaurants, live music, trails, and necessities, and the people we encountered. Everyone in the area was super friendly. The host’s attention to details in the home was exceptional and communication was fantastic. Thank you for making such a wonderful memory for us. Al's Place was a perfect little lakeside cabin. It was very clean with a great outdoor space to relax by the lake. Bren is a great communicator and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I highly recommend this cottage for a nice, relaxing, lakeside vacation.

Al's Place is a beautiful little cottage sitting right on the water. The host has gone out of her way to include everything you could possibly need, and the decor is fun too. You will feel a sense of vacation inside and out. The kind host was helpful in suggesting local places to enhance your trip as well. We will definitely be back!

The house was very cozy and clean. They have everything stocked that you can think of from books, games, kitchen items, to outdoor and even for your dog. Bren communication was great and even checked in on us to make sure all was OK and we even had cookies waiting. The view from the lake when waking up and in the evenings with the moon reflecting off the water was amazing.

The communication was excellent from the get go. When we arrived everything was clean and accessible. We loved our stay and even caught some decent sized fish. Can’t say enough good things about the host and views! Thanks, Bren!

Brenda was a great communicator & answered all our questions within a few minutes. The cottage is very tiny. It's quaint, but much smaller than expected from the pictures. If I had to guess, it's approximately 800 square feet. The back door doesn't actually lock, which if I had been traveling as a single woman would have freaked me out.

Yes, as noted in the second sentence of our listing, our cottage, located right on the lake's edge, is perfect for romantic getaways, small families, or friends who really like each other! Mistakenly though, the back door is intentionally kept locked at all times and should not be altered. We mention this at the cottage and note for guests not to pull the back door closed behind them when going out to the deck. If it closes, you'll simply need to walk around to the front door to re-enter. After 105 years of making memories, we just don't have the heart to replace the old, persnickety antique lock and lose a bit of the cottage's charm. Ensuring the safety and well‑being of every guest is always our priority!
