House is roomy and comfortable. Nice porch to sit on when the weather is nice. Just minutes from many attractions and dining areas or just have it delivered and relax. Worked well for us!

As advertised

This was a very charming place in a great location. It was actually a little bigger and roomier than I expected. The only thing that caught me off guard was the nearby train would pass by late at night and early in the morning and the train horn would wake us each time.

Great location

This house is a great location. It's definitely has old charms to it. The dishes are not great and back yard could definitely use some cleaning up, but overall the stay was good.

We stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights over the July 4th holiday and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The home is perfectly situated to the beach and close to where we wanted to go and be. We hope to be able to go back to use it again.

Great layout for our group!

This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room to have some privacy or gather together in one room. Host was very responsive, upon arrival I noticed that something needed repaired (nothing that would affect our stay) I sent a text to the host and gave them the info required to get a part, it arrived at the house before we checked out. Would definitely book again.

Good location

Good location. Could be cleaner. All the kids socks were black after walking around the house. Found a few dead roaches in the dishes. 😳. And the main bathroom shower/tub needs serious updating. Close to the beach.

Gregory, The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following: " - We take cleanliness very seriously and wish you had contacted us when you were in the home. We would have been happy to see what we could have done to take care of the floors and dishes. - We have a bi-monthly contract with pest control and they do a good job, but we are thinking about changing it to monthly for the warmer months. We are sorry for the inconvenience - We were unaware of any issues with the main bathroom shower/tub. We just finished some updates a while back and thought everything was good, we will take a look at it - Glad you enjoyed the location of the beach We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."

More Shabby than Chic...........

This house is in desperate need of repairs. I own several properties and I was quite shocked to see that this home was rented in this condition given that its completely unsafe. Considering the age of the home (1900s) and the condition of the paint I can only assume its lead based paint that is peeling off all the doors and molding. Beware if you have pets. They could lick it. The back screen door is completely torn and my son just missed falling down the back stairs because of this. The master bath shower is severely sloped ( approximately 6 inches from front to back) and nearly caused a trip to the emergency room for me. I am covered in bruises from my fall. There are significant structural issues given the age of the house and it past time to call in a structural engineer to suggest a proper way to remedy this. Windows are original and many are broken. My daughter sliced her hand open on one of them. My dogs found multiple dead roaches throughout the house (underneath the beds)! The back yard needs tending as it is full of broken branches and leaves. This is not the best house for families. The carpet is quite dirty and stained with urine. I caution you if you have allergies. The only positive to this house is location. You are close to everything, even walking distance. The decor is beach cute but I would rather rent a safe clean, home then one that has nice decor. As others mentioned prepare to hear the train whistle a. minimum of 3 times each night. I do sorely regret not canceling after the poor experience with EVOLVE management company. I tried calling the company on three separate occasions and waited on hold for approximately 30 minutes each time until I finally was able to talk to a live person. This is not a company that I would have managing my personal vacation rental properties. Hopefully the owner will remedy these issues for future guests.

Capucine, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We're sorry to hear that your stay fell short of expectations and we appreciate your feedback. We've shared your comments with the homeowner, who currently has maintenance scheduled for the items you mentioned before the next guests check in. Though, as you mentioned, it is an older home, the owner takes pride in its upkeep and takes these concerns very seriously. He is addressing any issues with cleanliness with his cleaning contact to ensure that they do not recur for future guests, and has scheduled regular treatments to prevent pests from entering the home. Lastly, we apologize for the poor experience you had when contacting us here at Evolve. Our goal is to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we truly regret missing the mark. We've shared your feedback with our frontline teams here and their managers, and are working diligently to create an exceptional experience for each guest. Thank you again for this feedback and for the opportunity to improve. Best, the Evolve Team

Vacation in Gulfport Ms

The property was just as it is on the listing . The house was very nice and inviting . The neighbors were friendly and it was convenient to anything you needed to get to . The bathroom in the master around the toilet , the floor is sinking down a little and there was mold around the tile in the guest bath . Other than that the grass needed cutting . I will recommend to my friends and family .
