What a beautiful home and area for our family time together. The host was great, so helpful with anything we needed. The property was clean, plenty of space, and accommodating. We lacked for nothing. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely recommend to others.

Incredible property and location - has everything you could want. One note is the road in is very washboarded for 4 miles, rougher for a low clearance 2WD vehicle than indicated. But that's also an indication of how serenely secluded and out in nature the property is.

The cabin is wonderful, we have started here twice now and will definitely return! It is setup perfect and is made for kids! Very comfortable and cozy!

Beautiful Location and Great Hosts

The cabin was lovely and tucked away in Alma. Absolutely stunning. The owners checked in with us ahead of time, turned on the heat, and were available if we needed anything.

Such a beautiful place! Plenty of room for all of our guests to make a home base for Jeeping for the weekend. Saw deer and moose from the deck! Epic!

Great house and property!

The house was beautiful, as was the property! The beds were comfortable and cozy, and the kids loved all the games. The view of the mountains was gorgeous, and we spotted several moose grazing out back! We cooked a number of meals there and appreciated the well equipped kitchen, as well as the grill. Highly recommend!

4th of July Stay

This lodge is so beautiful. Plenty of space and lots to do around the property. We were playing outside one night and saw a moose in the meadow which was amazing! Also has a great view of Mt Sherman! Went into Fairplay for fireworks on the 4th. Would definitely recommend booking a stay here.

Beautiful cabin!! Amazing views!!

We came for a wedding at Sapphire point overlook yes due to weather conditions in and up with the wedding on the deck the cabin was beautiful. The views were amazing. It was a great weekend.

We had a great experience at this rustic cabin. The property is secluded and peaceful, providing a true sense of privacy and a remote setting. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable throughout our stay. Communication with the host was excellent. They checked in with us and were responsive and accommodating when needed.

Amazing Mountain View Cabin

We stayed at this cabin for a long weekend get away. The property is amazing. Everything is super new and clean, our kids (5 & 6) absolutely loved the game room, the bunk beds, & sledding. We even spotted a Moose! The nearby town of Fairplay was lots of fun (make sure to check out the red barn shop)

Beautiful Mountain Escape!

We had a wonderful stay at the White Ridge Lodge. The cabin is really beautiful, spacious and well equipped for families. There are plenty of games, art supplies, puzzles and of course loads of outside fun. The internet is also reliable and there are movies and old school Nitendo games, but we prefer to be 'offline' on vacation and the location really allows you to immerse yourself in nature. We were snowed in one day and the kids built a snow ramp for sleds and skiing right off the driveway. We also took night time, starlit hikes, and loved watching the snow swirl and fall. The location also is just a short drive from Brekenridge, Copper Mountain, Vail, etc. The roads can be tricky in the winter months but we managed and appreciated being away from towns and congestion. We highly recommend White Ridge Lodge!

Some people in our party ended up having to go to a hotel in town because the smell from air freshener chemicals in the house was so overwhelming. We've not had this problem at any property in years of staying at VRBOs so we wouldn't have thought to ask about this in advance. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils but we had to buy our own trash bags, dishwasher soap, and toilet paper because minimal supplies were available. We also bought laundry detergent and washed towels and bedding because they had been washed previously in such heavily scented detergent that they were unpleasant to use.

Jody, I am sorry some in your party had these unforeseen issues. As previously documented through our VRBO communications if we knew in advance we could have prepared the cabin to have less “scents”. We visited the cabin right after you checked out and were surprised to see you left the plug-ins in the cabin on the floor after pulling them out of the outlets. Also you mentioned you could not find hotel rooms and you planned to stay despite us offering to cancel and refund the remaining nights. When we got to the cabin we also verified the All Free and Clear detergent pods we supplied were still in near the washer and available for your use, there were extra trash bags in the bottom of the trash bin and in the kitchen closet, extra toilet paper in each bathroom under the sinks, and the container under the kitchen sink with a few dishwasher detergent pods. We have extra of everything at the cabin and we would hope guests would reach out personally if they cannot fine something, so we can direct to items as needed. Again we are sorry this unique situation affected you personally in a negative way, but do not feel this reflects the rest of our guests experiences, including our returning guests.

We loved our stay at this quiet and thoughtfully appointed cabin! There is a dirt road with some washboarding to get up there but getting into the cabin was very easy. It was very clean, well decorated, and the views were stunning. Some things we were pleasantly surprised to find (small but usually missing from other places we've rented) included power strips by the beds, kleenex, some kitchen items like sugar, tea, and tin foil, LOTS of hooks throughout the cabin for hanging towels or snow gear, and a very responsive thermostat. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, silverware, and pots & pans. Wi-fi was great, we played some of the games provided, and watched a movie via streaming on the smart TV. Our kids loved the air hockey table and I loved how quiet the house and deck were! We were a short (dirt road) drive to Pennsylvania Mountain Trail which we did one day and on our way out of town hiked the Beaver Creek Trail (much easier, ha!) Our last night included listening to a bear wrestle with the bear proof trash can that must have had a prior guests bag in it (spoiler - the bear won), so take the trash instructions seriously! We visited right before school started for a quick escape and it was just what we needed. The host was very responsive. We highly recommend this gem of a cabin in the mountains!

Most places try and take it all the way up to 10/10. This goes to 11. The cabin is a pleasantly surprising mix of roomy, but very comfy. Even with a large group we had more than enough room, and yet it still had that cozy cabin vibe. The view is stunning. Standing on the balcony wearing my favorite hoodie, with my morning cup of Joe in the crisp autumn air, smelling the piney air and seeing the snow dusted mountain tops right across the valley… this is so peak, I had a hard time coming back from this stay. I have asthma and very sensitive lungs/sinuses to smells and scents among other things, and had a perfect weekend - no issues. It’s a clean place. No overpowering smells. Just very well-kept. The Starlink Wi-Fi worked flawlessly - when I had to connect over the weekend, it accomplished everything I needed and more. The hosts actually take care. They treat people staying at their cabin like actual guests. They reached out before, during and after to make sure we were well taken care of. I don’t know these folks, but the way they treated us was the way I would treat my best friends’ family if they were staying at our cabin. My only hesitation leaving such a glowing review is that it may increase demand and make it harder for us to compete for a spot on subsequent visits. This place is incredible.

This cabin is perfect we had so much room and so many extras! The owners thought of everything even toys for the kids and all the dishes and kitchen appliances you would need. We saw a most in the backyard which was awesome! Our family enjoy this cabin so much we will definitely come again thank you to the hosts!

We loved this cabin! The location is great - secluded but close enough to town to grab essentials. The cabin itself was so roomy and well stocked. We loved the rec room and the board game selection. This place was perfect for our family! We also saw wildlife every day - moose, elk, deer, coyotes, and chipmunks. The view was beautiful. Our hosts were also great. They checked in ahead of our arrival and provided direct contact info - they were available but not overbearing. We have zero complaints. We are already checking our calendars to see when we can come back!

It was a magical experience! From the communication with the owners to lodge and walking in to find a personalized welcome card, everything was better than we could have imagined! The lodge is within 20 minutes of Fairplay (check out the town and South Park City) and Breckenridge and also incredibly secluded and private! The lodge is immaculate and has all of the extras (spices, binoculars, puzzles, board games, dvd’s)! Honestly, you never need to leave this little taste of paradise! We saw moose and deer each day from the porch. The arcade style games were a family hit at night! We are already planning our next visit and stay here! The owners responded immediately and were very personable! Above 5 stars for this stay!

This place was exactly as advertised. Beautiful home, beautiful views and very well stocked with everything we could need. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The area is at altitude so not much air to breathe for us old fogies but the beautiful views from this stately home made it all worth it.
