Secluded, yet easy access and only minutes to charming mountain towns and Colorado vacation resorts such as Breckenridge. Wonderful every season - Winter Wonderland, Spring Awakening, Summer Wildflowers, Autumn Aspen Colors - the sunshine and night, super starry, skies in Colorado Mountains at this altitude is a must have experience all year round. Completely furnished 2 bedrooms w. quality queen beds, plus a queen sofa sleeper and a single bed in open loft can sleep up to 7 adults. The loft overlooks living area w reclining chairs and wood stove and open to dining room. Kitchen has everything you need for gourmet cooking and large dinner parties. Nice Secluded Cabin

We enjoyed being able to walk off the property into National Forest and that it was secluded (good for the dog, who has a hard time around strangers). We saw a good amount of wildlife, large and small. Great place to stay if your goal is to get away from home and find some peace and quiet. Not particularly close to major tourist attractions, but convenient if you wanted to climb some of the 14ers between Breckenridge and Fairplay.

Excellent getaway

Perfect mountain home for a simple getaway. Added bonus that pets were allowed. Property is quiet and the hot tub was a great addition after days of hiking. Closing to town and well stocked. The home had a very welcoming feeling, would definitely rent again.

Beautiful and very private location with a great hot tub close to Fairplay. The cabin is very well stocked and comfortable. I really enjoyed running on the Sacramento Creek Ranch trail network. It has about 3 miles of wooded and/or creekside trails ideal for running or hiking. I used the convenient back entrance at a gate (with a road closed sign) on the south side of Sacramento Creek Road about 1/3 of a mile west of the cabin. The first Sacrament Creek Ranch trail sign is about 1/3 of a mile from the gate.

Cabin and ski getaway

Short trip from Denver, gets you right into the mountains near skiing. Hot tub was a nice option after skiing, and unwinding with a fire and a book was perfect.

Peaceful

Beautiful area and cabin! The hot tub had way too much bromide in it which put a damper on our enjoyment of the hot tub. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet! We even got to see a moose right outside the window!

Rustic cabin

The mountain log cabin would probably be a five-star for a younger set. Not being tech-savvy, we did not get the message while traveling not to park in the driveway. Also, we could not navigate the 4 remotes to operate the TV and missed watching the NBA playoffs. Also, the owner did not respond to 2 calls or to our 2 texts to the numbers provided. We later learned that their preferred messaging was through the VRBO app.The cabin, though, was quite 'homey' and very rustic.They should fix the storm door ASAP. A hinge is broken.

Just what you expect from a cabin in the mountains

It was nice to have a quiet stay after traveling across the country. This cabin sits above 10,000 ft. There are no neighbors close by. Privacy was nice when using the hot tub. There is a nice selection of DVDs to watch. We could not get the direct TV to work. If you want to relax this is a nice place to do it.

Cabin in the woods with style

We had a great time sitting by the fire or sitting in the hot tub under the stars. Still felt like a cabin with all the quirks we love about that. It was better than we expected! Hosts were great and clearly still use the property too. All that VRBO was supposed to be and more.

Sweet and quaint getaway

We had a very nice time at the property - it felt like staying at "the family cabin." It was quite secluded, clean and cute. We had a family thing come up at the last minute that threatened to keep us from coming, and the property manager was quick and generous. It all worked out in the end. We'll keep this one in mind for another trip!

Peace & Quiet!

Loved this cabin. Super clean hot tub, comfortable kitchen, double bathrooms (including one upstairs which is great), lots of sunny spots to read & nap, a great porch, peaceful surrounding and places to walk through the woods. Highly recommend.

13th birthday party weekend

I took 5 13 yr old girls to the cabin for my daughter’s birthday sleepover.They loved the huge hot tub and fire. We watched old dvd’s and they enjoyed the loft and instruments. The cabin was secluded and the surroundings were gorgeous!

Fairplay cabin

This was a great property to stay at close to 14er trailhead. The host was great to communicate with on the check-in process and making sure everything was ready for our stay.

It is the perfect get-away, to connect with nature, play in the great outdoors, relax and cherish the moments! While you can still 'connect' there, it is easy to forget about everything else when you're at the cabin! Cozy and peaceful in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. An outdoor paradise for everything you want to do - hiking, biking, rock hounding, fishing, climbing, kayaking, rafting, canoeing, x-skiing, alpine at resorts, snowshoeing, horseback riding, soaking in the nearby hot springs!
I love the community there too! Fairplay, Buena Vista, Breckenridge, and Alma, highest elevation inc town in North America. I had a small outdoor gear store - OutYaGo Mountain Gear. Maybe you remember it? :)

The South Park region is a beautiful treasure among the major ski resorts! Close to Breckenridge, Keystone, A Basin, Copper, Frisco, etc.. there is also the raging Arkansas River for whitewater, 13 and 14k ft peaks to climb and meadows of wildflowers and aspen, even gold mines to explore. South Park is perfectly center of Colorado state! Doesn't get better then this!
