The place was very clean and comfortable. It would be helpful to provide a little more information or a warning about the steep driveway, as it may be difficult for some guests to navigate.

Stayed here with my daughter and her partner for the Labour Day weekend. The hosts were accessible and helpful but not intrusive. Accommodations were very private, clean and comfortable, with 2 bedrooms with Queen beds (one down and one up where the bathroom was also located), kitchen very well equipped for cooking (except no large mixing bowls for some reason). Good outdoor spaces as well, including a large deck with BBQ and a seating area around a propane firepit. WiFi provided for entertainment indoors and also cell phone connectivity as cell phone service in the area is poor. Could not make phone calls from the upstairs bedroom, even with WiFi calling enabled. The water is from a well and has a rather sulfurous odour, but there is a reverse osmosis filter attached to a special tap in the kitchen sink and the water from that tap is fine. Access to the river was down an iron stairway and there was no real beach as such, but we took a dip into a few feet of water off a mossy bank. The water temperature was good for swimming. There are also other spots along the river with gravelly or sandy beaches. All in all, it was a great getaway, and very convenient.

Very clean, comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Very peaceful and private, and the river activity was entertaining. The only downside was I was unable to use the steep metal stairs so I missed out on swimming. Everything else was great!

The check-in wasn’t quick because VRBO did not send us the code for the door. Fortunately there were some lovely neighbors who phoned Dan to get it for us, then no problem. It would be much better to have had his phone number.
