1 bedroom guest house apartment with private drive. The Bama Bear Den is close to the UA and is located adjacent to PAUL "BEAR" BRYANT'S home in the 60's and early 70's.

Bama Bear Den is located in a quiet neighborhood close to the University of Alabama and all shopping needs. This one bedroom, one bath guest house apartment sleeps 2. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with pillow top mattress . The den has a sofa and love seat and 48" high definition flat screen TV. It has a fully equipped kitchen ( microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, stove w/oven , blender plenty of pots and pans) eating area with table that can seats 4 people.

Bedroom is fully furnished. The bathroom has complimentary soap, blow dryer, toiletries and linens for your use along with a washer and dryer. The apartment has wifi. Outside the apartment is a covered front porch, plenty of seating, & BBQ grill. Plenty of parking available. Nestle up to a wooded lot , large yard, quiet safe neighborhood. Apartment is located in a cul da sac, not a lot of traffic.Dead bolt lock on door and monitored by an outside camera. Owner lives next door , retired and is home in the day.

Perfect Tuscaloosa stay

We rented this property for the summer for an employee. It had everything she needed for a very comfortable stay this summer. It was in a safe, convenient location and had convenient amenities. The property owner was very responsive and easy to reach. Highly recommend!

Clean and lots of space.

We actually stayed in the unit upstairs. It was a good location about 10 minutes from campus. The place was clean and communication with Linda was very good and helpful.

Conveniently located close to UA

Wonderful stay in an adorable den!

I spent almost a month in Tuscaloosa at the Bama Bear Den. The house is tucked away in a residential neighborhood that was about a mile from Target and better yet Fresh Market. The house is charmingly decorated (pretty sure the owner is an interior decorator). There were more than enough nice fluffy towels, an excellent bed and a well outfitted small kitchen. The unit was clean, well cared for and I had a lovely time. Wifi was excellent. I will be back.

All you really need to bring here are your clothes

We stayed at Bama Bear Den for the month of May while my husband was working in Tuscaloosa. What a great place, Linda was an awesome host and has thought of everything you could need while visiting. The surrounding neighborhood is quite lovely and I felt very safe there, as I was by myself during the days. The place is clean and stays pretty cool even with just a window unit because it is secluded under the trees. The water feature in the yard is very peaceful and makes the porch sitting even more inviting. You can tell they worked hard on setting that up. If you are a football fan you will love this place, it is beautifully decorated in true Crimson Tide style. The dog and I found plenty to do. If you are in town for anything beyond a ball game weekend, you should check out Hurricane Creek Park about ten minutes away. We also had a great time on the weekends going to Lake Lurleen, and the Lock parks on Holt Lake. The area really is beautiful with rolling hills, river, lakes, bicycle trails, and plenty of other things to do if you aren't there for college or sports. Close to shopping also. I also found my new favorite thrift store just a few miles away.

What a wonderful, quiet and comfortable place to stay near anything you might want to do in town. This is a great place for any football fan or someone looking for a quiet retreat in Tuscaloosa.

Awesome Place! I am now officially spolied!!!

Bama Bear Den is one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. The area is close to everything, however you feel like you are in your own oasis. The amenities provided give a five star hotel a run for the money. I'm serious when I say I am officially spoiled, the thoughtfulness of the small things really shine through!! It really is like coming home! I cannot wait to come back and stay with what feels like friends. Thank you so much!!!

"Bear" Den cute!

Stayed here for parents weekend 2014. After flying in from Belgium I was anxious to relax in this cozy house. The house was decorated in all "Bama" style which put me in the mood for the weekend! It was a clean house. Some things to take note of...the owners home is above the house so you do hear them. The driveway has absolutely no lighting so backing out the long curved driveway in the dark was difficult, as was finding the house! It is less than a ten minute drive from the university and only five minutes from the mall area all of which was great! As for my only complaints: when we returned from an incredibly, long, hot and humid game day (BAMA won!) with our cold bottle of wine the owners were working on the installation of the pond they are putting right in front of the house. Although it was less than an hour, it did make us feel stuck in the house! I also would recommend the owner contact the renter prior to coming....I had to contact them and I would have liked prior information to my departure which actually took place the day before.

Comfortable and quiet

This was a nice place to stay for a game weekend. It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the university. The place was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. It was about 3 miles from campus but in a quiet residential neighborhood. I would recommend it for families visiting their children at the university. It wouldn't be a good place if you were brining friends and wanted to party for the football game.

Perfect move in experience!

This adorable cottage was the ultimate hideaway during a hectic UA move in weekend. Clean, well-appointed, close to campus, close to shopping and restaurants, and close to my daughter's new apartment! It was perfect!

Lovely hideaway in Tuscaloosa

We had such a perfect stay here. The home is clean, decorated nicely, and very comfortable. It sits back off the main roads in a beautiful wooded neighborhood. We loved the front porch in the mornings for coffee and in the evenings watching the lightning bugs. We were able to grill and have our college student and friends over for dinner on the patio. We were 2 miles from 15th and McFarland and 2.5 to 3 miles from campus. Great location! The owners were a dream to work with and very accommodating. We have already made plans to stay again in the fall for game days.

Nice for UA Parents

Our favorite feature was the great big commercial gas grill next to the front porch. This made it nice to entertain friends outside. On site owners immediately took care of any problems that arose. They replaced the microwave within an hour of us reporting a problem with the old one. Excellent location, very quiet neighborhood, yet close to shopping, restaurants and UA campus. Property was extremely clean and extremely well stocked with many extra linen, toiletries and plenty of pots and pans.

Wonderful rental!

The apartment is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with all of the amenities of home! We had a great stay for the Alabama football game, and the owners made it homey with all types of breakfast goodies. Highly recommended!

Perfect Location with Beautiful Decor and Wonderful Hospitality

Our daughter is in her senior year at Alabama. My husband and I live in Georgia and don't get to come over alot. We do however try to come over Homecoming Weekend. This little getaway was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of space, everything was emaculately clean. The owners had even stocked the refrigerator with fruit, muffins and goodies. The weather was good with Fall in the air too! When we get ready to go back, we won't have a long search again! I will be calling from now on to rent the precious 'Bama Bear Den'. Thank you again Owners so very much for allowing us to stay in your home away from home! We will certainly be back! Roll Tide!!!
