Incredible Views; Incredible Stay!

My husband and I along with another couple just spent two relaxing week in this lovely property! The ocean view over the infinity pool is one-of-a-kind! The area around the pool, which is surrounded by lovely gardens, and the covered patio lets you stay outside all day. Inside, the main areas are spacious and well laid out. Due to the steepness of the road and traffic, we ended up driving to the beach ( 3 min.) which was easy and there was always parking. More beaches are nearby and the town of Samara is filled with small, local eating places, bars, coffee places and shops.

A week in paradise

This was a week long vacation with my husband, our 2 adult boys and their wives. I will never forget the expressions on their faces when they entered the house and saw the view. The house, grounds and pool area are beautiful and the view is simply spectacular. Leonie, was very helpful with recommendations on activities, restaurants, beaches, etc. She truly went out of her way to make our vacation unforgettable.We will definitely come back.

Perfect vacation!

Beautiful home and love the Samara area. Thanks to Leonie and the property owner for being so responsive and helpful. We got a shuttle to the house from LIR (2 hours) and then rented a golf cart for the week to get around town. Worked out perfectly. If you want to explore beyond Samara and Carrillo though, you'll need a car. It was just the two of us in the house, but there is plenty of room for up to 6 people. The amazing pool and the wall of folding glass doors in the back of the house were our favorite parts. We will definitely be back!

Breathtaking Views of Playa Samara

The location and views from the property were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed a few activities in the local area including zip lining, ATV ride and of course the beautiful beaches in the surrounding area. The weather also turned out to be perfect with no rain 5 of 7 days during day time. Both Leonardo and Raquel were very responsive and pleasant to work with.

Perfect safe location

House was just awesome. Loved the location, grounds and view. If you are researching between Nosara and Samara like I did, choose Samara. Nosara or Guiones Beach is on several dirt roads along the coast with tourist shops and restaurants. Samara is a little town on the beach, paved roads, and surrounded by great beaches and things to do. We loved it and will be back and would pick this same house without question you wont be disappointed. Thanks again Leonie really appreciated you and all your help!

Slice of heaven

We stayed 5 days at Villa Vista and enjoyed every minute. The house is very conveniently located and the views are breathtaking. The minute you enter the home, you can’t help but be in awe of the beauty and immediately relax. The property manager, Leonie, is the best I have come across! We are the grateful for the memories our family will take with us and hope to be back again someday.

Bonita casa.

Beautiful views. Fully equipped house. Open and breezy. Lovely pool. Short drive to the beach. Everything as advertised except the drive from airport took a full 2 hours. Well worth it though.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Samara Reefs! The house had everything we needed: a beautiful view, being close to the beach, and a gorgeous infinity pool. Leonardo was so kind in setting up our house and activities, and Raquel was amazing in cooking us two beautiful meals with local ingredients. Thank you so much for everything!

Perfection

We have travelled all over CR staying at beautiful rented villas for last six years.Villa vista was the absolute best one ever! stunning view, gorgeous finishings, extremely comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. I could go on and on. Close walk to beach so we could send our teen boys down to very safe beach to surf by themselves while we relaxed by pool. Short walk down the beach to town to great casual restaurants. Bill is a fantastic property manager. We highly recommend his advice for local activities, restaurants, etc. The best CR vacation spot ever!!

Simply Amazing!!!

Can’t say enough about this property. Location and amenities were awesome. We woke up every morning to the tropical sounds of Samara…macaws, monkeys (they can be a bit loud) and beautiful vistas. We had a 6-person golf cart for 3 days which was perfect—allowed us to explore Playa Carrillo and go into town for dinner or pick up groceries, etc. We walked to town the first few days via the beach, about a one-mile walk. It is a pretty steep hill to the house but doable. We had Silvia come in two nights to prepare dinner for us—it was fabulous. Leonie was very responsive and easy to work with. Was a wonderful stay and we were sad to leave!

Best Vacation Ever!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this vacation. Communication with the owner and property manager prior to our stay was fantastic! Erin, the property manager, went over and above to make our stay perfect. She had the Villa stocked with groceries, gave restaurant recommendations, had Vilma cook for us several nights. She was the sweetest and the food was yummy! The view from the Villa was breathtaking! The pool was sparkly clean everyday, as was the Villa. The location was perfect. It was 5 minutes to Samara and the beach. We could not have imagined a more relaxing vacation! Look forward to coming back again later this year! Pura Vida!

Truly stunning villa in a superb location

It is hard not to run out of superlatives in describing our stay here. The listing is accurate, and the photos give you a good idea of what to expect. The villa itself is luxurious and well kept, and the property manager (Erin) was on call to answer every query. But the view from the terrace just takes your breath away, with the jungle and ocean before you. It really is hard work to drag yourself away from the side of the infinity pool, but it is a short 5 min walk to the beach and then a 10 min stroll into lovely Samara - - muy tranquillo - with great restaurants right on the beach. Our favourite was Gusto Beach - authentic Italian pizzas and wonderful tuna! Customer service was excellent - I think it is the nicest place we have every stayed. Highly recommended!

100% as advertised!

In fact, if anything, the photos do not do Villa Vista justice. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous and immeasurably comfortable. The pool is amazing. The view is awe inspiring. Erin (the property manager) is super personable and helpful and enthusiastic and probably the best property manager we have ever worked with. The house has a nice sense of privacy while still having neighbors close by which actually generates a sense of comfort and community. Having Playa Samara only a few minutes away by car also makes the trip that much more enjoyable as you can run into town for groceries, a meal or a trip to the beach and be back in no time at all. We have stayed at many fine properties over the years but Villa Vista is truly in a class by itself!!

Five Star Experience

We've spent ten years exploring Costa Rica, each time staying at a different house, and from that vantage point we can truly say that Villa Vista is an exceptional home. We should know: we just returned from our second visit and have already booked our third. Immaculately maintained - from soft linens to fresh beach and pool towels to the well equipped kitchen - we found everything perfectly prepared for our arrival and any questions we had during our stay were immediately answered. The views are spectacular, the bedrooms spacious and well air-conditioned and the outdoor kitchen makes dining alfresco a dream. Craig made the booking experience easy (he responds immediately) and Bill, the property manager, is always available to help. The friendly staff - from the housekeeper to the gardener to the pool cleaner - are excellent. We highly recommend this home!

The View!!!

OMG… upon arrival you are immediately rewarded with an amazing view of the ocean and Isla Chora over a brilliant blue infinite pool. The house is situated such that a cool breeze floats from front to back and the pool is in morning sun and afternoon shade. Lovely! The bedrooms were clustered to one side of the house so we could be using the main area all day without disturbing sleepers. We made most of our own meals in the fully stocked kitchen and made heavy use of the outdoor grill. It was also nice to have air conditioning in the bedrooms for sleeping. Located about 2 km from the town/beach of Samara, it was the perfect base camp for our group of 6. Not really walkable but with a rental car, we could easily come & go or hang by the pool. There was plenty to keep us busy… we booked some kayaking, ziplining and ATV adventures in town as well

Amazing property

We decided to come back to Costa Rica after 25 years when we came for our honeymoon. We saw this house on VRBO and fell in love with the view. We unfortunately arrived at the house late at night so we weren't able to see it until we woke up in the morning but it was so worth the wait. The photos online do it absolutely no justice. IT IS AMAZING!! We were there in June which is the start of the rainy season so we did get a lot of rain but we also got some beautiful, sunny, days which was plenty. When the sun would come out we would wish for the clouds to come back. Everyone was so accommodating, the owner was very responsive and Leonie provided all of the contacts we needed for our trip. I highly recommend Gerardo with Samara Shuttle to pick you up. He was so helpful and directed us to the best places to shop. If you come on a Saturday go to the Ferria in town, they have the best vegetables and you can also buy souvenirs like jewelry, sauces, wine and coffee. I also recommend renting a golf cart to get back and forth to town and Playa Carillo. We had an amazing time that we will cherish forever. Thank you and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful home with spectacular views

You can never be sure that the reality will match the pictures online but this house exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't even adequately represent the beauty of the home and where it is situated. We truly had the best view in town and it made it hard to leave the house for daily activities. And the pool was amazing as well and was used by all of us regularly. The one minor shortcoming is the need to get on an ATV or a bike to get food or get to the beach but worth it for the view and the comforts of the home. Definitely recommend mountain bikes and at least one ATV/motorbike for getting around and up the hill. and don't miss dinner and sunset at La Puesta del Sol near Playa Cabillo. And for that matter, the beach at Playa Cabillo which greatly outranks Samara. Leonie, the house manager, was wonderful and extremely helpful in all matters. The house was clean and someone came in twice a week which was nice given all the used towels. Loved it all and would definitely return.

Excellent Property - Convenient, Close to Town; You Will Love It!

We had an amazing stay in Samara Reefs. This property was very comfortable with a stunning view. Erin, the property manager, was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. The house is in a safe, private, gated community that's very close to town, making all amenities very convenient. We enjoyed the hummingbirds, howler monkeys and parakeets that frequented the area, and the house was kept immaculate during our stay by Demeris (housekeeper) as well as the gardeners and pool staff. Be sure to keep the front and rear doors open for a crossbreeze. Otherwise, the house gets VERY stuffy in the main living area due to the AC unit in he loft not working. And, the main road out of Samara is just below the ridge where this house is, so you do constantly hear ATVs, cars and dirt bikes rushing by (and over the metal bridge nearby). This does interrupt the solitude a bit, but nothing compared to NJ traffic. Nonetheless, this house was awesome in a fantastic location with an impeccable support staff. You will have a great stay here.
