Wonderful experience at the Alaska Bear Lodge! We had twelve people in our group from toddler to senior, and all were comfortable in this extremely spacious house. Very clean, well kept, and all amenities we could have thought of asking for.

This property was an absolute delight to stay in from the moment we walked through the doors. It is spacious, impeccably clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. We immediately felt right at home. The area is quiet with a huge yard and adjacent creek. The owner was great to get right back to us with any questions and even offerred us toys for our 2 year old! One heads up- there is a non refundable property damage fee. You won’t find a nicer place in Seward for a family gathering!

Absolutely the best!

My family booked this property and loved every minute of it! The host went above and beyond for us. Beds were super comfortable and the on demand hot water was the icing on the cake! We fished, played frisbee golf in the yard and played many hands of dominoes! The game closet was awesome! I highly recommend booking this house! 5 stars is simply not enough!

Our family of 13 will remember the time spent in Seward / the Alaska Bear Lodge for a very long time. From the breath-taking scenery, to the beautiful accommodations, a moose and her baby in the neighbors yard, the backyard for evening soccer matches, a stream running with sockeye, it was just magical. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so very much. The Virginia Lehmans.

This Amazing House was everything we had hoped it would be for our family of 11 and much more. Seven comfortable bedrooms and 5 well appointed bathrooms, Several relaxation rooms, a well stocked laundry room, a spacious back porch and deck, a large kitchen and diningroom made us feel at home, with everything we needed for fun and relaxation. The large refrigerator, six burner gas stove, double sink area plus a single prep Sink, dishwasher and lots of counter space made this cooking family happy. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware, dishes, glassware, and flatware. Carys was so kind to say, we could use anything in the house. The spice drawer blew me away. The house is decorated so cute. Every room seemed special. The grounds were situated in a perfect spot for the fishermen in our family. The running stream in the backyard, and the beautiful lake just steps away let us appreciate the true majesty of Alaska. The house is close enough to the town Seward to buy groceries, souvenirs, visit the Sea life center, swim in the ocean, take a private glacier flight, and so much more. Carys and her wonderful Grandmother take very good care of this Beautiful Vacation home and make sure that their guests are well taken care of. They even provided mosquito spray and Bear Spray, which we didn't need this time, but it was very convenient to have it at our disposal. We would definitely stay there again. Our family didn't want to leave. We won't forget you.

Beautiful, spacious, excellently appointed house in a wonderful location. Our family of 11 spent two weeks in July 2026, and we had a great time. Carys and her grandmother were superb hosts. 10 out of 10 all around.
