We had a great time. Beds very comfortable. Unit clean with all needed items. Two flights up to apartments so be cautious with heavy luggage.

We were a family of five so there was lots of space for us. It was nice to stay up a bit later and have kids go to sleep in the bedroom. Host’s communication was excellent. Check in was fairly easy. The entry to the building and stairwell were very underwhelming and you have to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. The unit was as it is described and is older. Some of the trim needs to be painted or replaced. Mixed area nearby with a rec centre and lots of coffee shops and delis.

The owner cancelled my reservation here at 4:00 p.m. EST on the day of check-in, leaving us scrambling to find accommodations on a holiday weekend and a big tennis event in town, the moment we landed after flying across the country.Despite receiving a confirmation code and emails stating, “Here are your keys,” the owner later claimed I never had a reservation. The rental company confirmed that I did, in fact, have a valid reservation.The owner offered no solution and did not answer when the rental company attempted to contact them directly. I respect the rental companies quick action to find a replacement property, but it was 3x the cost given the last minute reservation and left us in financial hardship.Be very cautious when booking this property. Based on my experience, even receiving a confirmation and notifications does not guarantee that your reservation will be honored.

The apartment is cute and clean. It has everything needed to stay warm and enjoy your trip. It is located in a quiet part of town but within walking distance to restaurants, stores and the subway. The host was kind and quick to respond.

Apartment was clean and tidy. Check in:check out was easy! It was super convenient for subway, Chelsea market, and the upper line. Definitely enjoyed our stay. Only suggestions are some paint from prior water damage and the microwave was very difficult to operate (might benefit from a replacement).

We stayed for two nights and overall found the place adequate for a short visit. The décor definitely leans into the “disco house” theme, though some parts of the home feel like they haven’t been updated since the 70s. The beds were comfortable and most of the appliances were modern and worked well.A few things to be aware of for future guests: the hardwood floors are quite uneven and noticeably sloped, which gave us some concern about the structure. The bedroom window didn’t fully close, letting in cold air and more street noise than expected. The microwave wasn’t functioning during our stay, though we only discovered that late at night, so there wasn’t really time to give the owner a chance to have it addressed. Water pressure in the shower was also very low, and in the bedroom there were very limited outlets—difficult for a room with two queen beds.In the living room, the glass coffee table is very large and heavy for the small space, which made navigating around it tricky. Finally, the fifth sleeper wasn’t easy to visualize from the listing photos, so clearer dimensions would help future travelers plan.None of these issues were urgent enough to report during a short stay, but they did impact overall comfort. With a few updates, this could be a much more enjoyable rental.
