Tucked away in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Yosemite and Bass Lake, the whimsical Halfling House is a one-of-a-kind escape for adventurers, dreamers, and anyone looking for a little magic. This enchanting retreat blends storybook charm with modern comfort, ensuring a fun and unique vacation you won't soon forget!

Some of our favorite features include:

- Redwood hot tub serviced and available year round, ready to refresh the weary traveler
- Relax by the fireplace* with a cup of tea, or even a breakfast or two!
- Propane firepit, a great place to sing your song or reflect on your adventure!
- Kitchen fully stocked to cook many a meals, so you can feed those unexpected wizards that might stop by!
- Propane BBQ grill usable year round
- Mini split heating and AC units in each bedroom and living room to ensure comfort year round
- Starlink Wifi for the modern day halfling who needs to work or catch up with the world

*Please note that during the summer and fall months, indoor fireplace is unavailable due to Madera County wood burning restrictions. Dates are subject to change per county guidelines. Since the Halfling House has a heating system, firewood is not provided but you are most welcome to bring your own or use any left over that might be at the property.

Loft
There is no sleeping arrangements in the loft. Loft is NOT SUITABLE for little halflings to venture up to on their own!

The home does have a few steps inside, and the shower requires a bit of caution. If you have physical limitations or restrictions, the Halfling House might not be the best option for you.

Whether you're on a quest for adventure or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, this earthy-inspired haven is the perfect place to rest your feet (big or small).

Just under an hour from Yosemite, close enough to town for easy errands/dining, but still private enough to give you that cabin in the woods feel. Staff checked on us before, during, and after our stay. 5/5 Stars!

The property was so peaceful and private. Exactly what we were looking for. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our family. The detail that was put into the property to reflect the Lord of the Rings theme was incredible. Relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire after a day of hiking at Yosemite was a perfect way to end the day. Communication with the hosts was great. All in all, a great property we highly recommend.
