Welcome to Black Bear Crossing!

Black Bear Crossing, nestled in the scenic Smoky Mountains, offers a delightful escape for nature enthusiasts. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee from the balcony while enjoying a beautiful Smoky Mountain morning in the crisp air or enjoy the hot tub while watching the sun set behind the mountains. Black Bear Crossing has it all; close proximity to all the local attractions, paved road and driveway.

Location: Bryson City- All Vehicle accessible, excluding motorcycles.
o 5 minutes to Bryson City
o 15 minutes to Cherokee’s Harrah Casino
o 5 minutes to Great Smoky Mountain Railroad
o 20 minutes to Nantahala Outdoor Center
o 1 hour and 30 minutes from Gatlinburg
o 1 hour and 30 minutes from Asheville

Amenities Provided: Cabins include basic linens, kitchenware, and a starter supply of paper products and toiletries. Guests are responsible for additional supplies.

So cute and close to town

What a beautiful place to stay! So close to town but just far enough to feel secluded. Loved the openness and cooking dinner and then enjoying it out on the deck with the view of the mountains. Will definitely stay here again!

Bear Creek Crossing

Overall this was a nice place to stay. Amenities were nice. The inside was clean and had everything needed for our stay. The outside of the property needs a little TLC and upgrades. We would stay there again if we were planning another trip to the area.

Great location!

Beautiful property to stay at. We enjoyed Going to “The Road to Nowhere” and Deep Creek tubing. Everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute drive. The driveway is very steep to get up, but we adapted to it quickly. The view from the porch is spectacular.

Pretty view. Close to town. Close to Deep Creek and Road to Nowhere. A few quirky rental things but nothing big enough to even mention. Driveway took a little getting use to, but we had fun with it.

Very private, had a bit of a problem with the fireplace and washer filling up due to shared well. The cleanliness was not to my standards but liveable. The drive is a roller coaster ride. But the view is extraordinary and the staff very attentive, to all our needs.

Beautiful location, wonderful deck!

Fantastic location, super close to town and GSMNP. It is on a somewhat busy road, and the traffic is just frequent enough to remind you of that, but it's not bad. Beautiful deck and view. Main level is perfect for the elderly. The driveway is tricky, steep and a bit intimidating, but I had studied Google Maps and these reviews. Beds were fine. Very well stocked. Washer and dryer are aged and need some attention to make sure dryer is drying. Would definitely stay again.

Coming apart/ dirty

Great location, rental company was nice. The cabin itself had roaches, looked like the ceiling was falling in, tore up lawn furniture, pictures showed none of this.

Lovely home

While there is a general warning about this being a mountain home, the driveway is very steep and if I had been driving my manual transmission would have struggled with the driveway.

This is a beautiful home in a great location with some beautiful views of the mountains and a great location. All the rooms were very accommodating and were accurate. Very spacious and very peaceful. They had enough blankets and pillows and also the heat worked great. All the seating outside was great when we could enjoy when the sun was out and the firepit is a bonus if you want to do marshmallows. Netflix is the only thing that worked for us. One recommendation we have is please let people know it's a little steep hill to get to the cabin. We didn't know until we got there and it was raining and dark. Thank you for the christmas tree, the kids really loved it. This is only a 1.5 miles from Downtown Bryson city and Deep Creek Trail an easy hike for kids.

Weekend Getaway

Overall the property was nice. Great open space and the fireplace was a hit. Beautiful view BUT THE getting up there was a challenge. The hot tub was a bonus but probably should put up some sorta gate around the edge of the area...in the dark you could take a serious tumble down a giant hill. Showers were less than desirable; the master shower was like a shoe box and the downstairs shower head was almost not useable. Beautiful home just keep up with the maintenance.

There’s only one thing and everything would have been perfect the fire place didn’t work even after contacting the office no fireplace but other than that everything was great
