Great cabin tucked away in a peaceful mountain area! Great hot tub and fire pit area only added to the amazing location of being close to the NOC, Bryson City, and Fontana Lake! Will definitely be back to this one! Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay. Everything you could need was available and it was very clean. Really enjoyed the back porch sitting enjoying nature listening to all the sounds and just enjoying playing cards and talking with those that were with me.

My family and I loved our visit at this awesome cabin. It's nestled on top a hill, secluded, and surrounded by trees and nature. And you're 15 minutes from NOC. 10 from Tsalis, and 20-30 from Bryson City.Fantastic location. Furnishings are simple and cozy. And the covered porch was the best hang out spot in the evening for people and dogs. The hot tub was crucial for long days of playing on the Nantahala.We look forward to visiting here again.

Communication was excellent with the host. We arrived to a clean, comfortable cabin large enough for our family of 5 with room to spare. The cabin had plenty of necessities such as shampoo and body wash, coffee and filters, laundry soap, trash bags, dish soap and tabs and marshmallow sticks and a lighter for smores (all things we used and appreciated!) It was in a private spot on the mountain where you could barely see/hear neighbors! My only complaint is that the towels and washcloths were musty and mildewy, possibly due to being left for a long period without use or being left in washer too long. Mentioned to owner and they said they would address. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again!

Extremely disappointing experience—I strongly recommend reading this before booking.The listing described three bedrooms, but we found two bedrooms plus an open loft/trundle area. Access was difficult, directions unclear, and the internet wasn’t working when we got there. We didn’t complain and planned to move on.Unfortunately, the real problem started after checkout. In fairness, our plans changed and we brought two dogs without updating the reservation. We should have, and we own that. What concerned us was what followed. We were assessed a pet fee, and nearly two weeks later additional post-stay charges appeared relating to cleaning and replacement of a comforter the host said was damaged. We were told the housekeeper spent over seven hours cleaning dog hair, despite a one night stay. Photo included that was provided to us as evidence supporting the comforter replacement charge so prospective guests can see for themselves.If you stay here, I strongly recommend photographing the property at check-in and checkout and keeping records of communications. Carefully follow the guest binder’s checkout instructions, including dishes, trash, grill cleaning, and taking linens to the laundry room, as it warns additional fees may be assessed.The emphasis on rules, checkout requirements, and post-stay issues made the experience feel far less hospitable than we expected and is something future guests should consider before booking.

Love the mountains of NC and the excellent cabin. The kitchen was equipped to make meals for our family of four, the beds were comfy, the location exactly what we wanted. Close to Bryson City and the surrounding Nantahala Forest and the Smokies. Fontana Lake was at the bottom of our hill and we went paddleboarding there. Loved it!

Cozy cottage in the hills

This cabin was extremely clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was so relaxing and the porch was a perfect spot to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book in the morning. My family and I all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet Mountain Escape

Cabin had everything we needed for a quiet mountain weekend. Located 15 mins from town and everything we needed while in the area. Host communicated well when we had questions. Overall great experience.

Hickory Ridge

It was a beautiful, clean home with plenty of privacy. We loved the convenient location to the Nantahala River and activities. It was a very easy check in and check out. The house was equipped with all we needed as well. We really enjoyed it and had a great stay! We would definitely do it again.

Green paradise

Great smokies getaway, beautiful house, correct as per online description and other reviews. Great for families, we had parents who could not climb stairs and it worked out real well with just a few steps up and down and the car driving all the way to cabin. Close to lot of activities.

Birthday getaway

We came for a quick getaway for my son’s Birthday. We had a great time. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities needed. We visited Bryson City and the Casino in Cherokee. We had a day of rain but enjoyed hanging out at the cabin relaxing. My son enjoyed the hot tub. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Hickory Ridge Long Weekend

Property was as described. We found it easily with the directions provided and via Google maps. I worry about large places sometimes not being clean, but this place was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the park-style grill and evening in the hot tub. Even saw the aurora borealis while there! Good base for our visit to Joyce Kilmer, hiking in Nantahala National Forest, Bryson City, and Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
