This rental unit is part of our house and has its own private entrance. Inside the unit, we offer three spacious suites, each with its own private bathroom. The rental unit also includes a shared laundry room and a communal kitchen. As rookie short-term rental host, we’re eager to learn and ensure we provide the best possible experience for you.
Our property is in one of Canada's most affluent and peaceful residential neighborhoods. Despite the quiet setting, express and local buses are readily available, providing quick access to Downtown Vancouver, other tourist attractions, and shopping centers. The surrounding community comprises upper-middle-class families who value a serene and harmonious environment, so we kindly ask our guests to respect the local lifestyle. Staying here offers the best of both worlds: skiing in the winter and swimming by the beach in the summer, all while enjoying world-class scenery and culture.

This property is easy to find, clean, safe, friendly, relaxed and is close to Stanley Park, Capilano bridge and alao convenient for both downtown Vancouver and the airport. The price is very reasonable and that is reflected in the fact that it is a room in a shared accommodation. If you’re expecting a five star hotel or the whole property to yourself then this is not what you’re looking for. It did feel private and Kimberley is very helpful and friendly. Book this if you are here for a short time in Vancouver and want a comfortable place to stay that wont break the bank. Thank you Kimberley.

Not as described and dirty

We thought all places on VRBO were the entire house but this is a single room rental with shared spaces of other renters in the basement as well as the owner living upstairs. The room was dirty and not well kept, the mattress had stains, no fitted sheet, door was greasy and black, used bar of soap in the shower, and lots of diy fixes of holes in the walls.The shared downstairs door has an electronic lock that other guests to the house would wake us up when they got home late because they kept putting in the wrong code, banging on the door, and ringing the doorbell. The upstairs owners woke us up every morning you could have people walking, talking and chairs against the floor. The ad showed pictures of a beautiful house and took multiple pictures of the outside showing the view out over the water but our window opened to a concrete wall as the room was below grade. The kitchen was down the hall and shared with other renters, the laundry was shared with other renters. The was a dining room that was next to our room but the door connected into our bathroom. One of the other renters had their bathroom outside their room. Very confusing check in process of what was ours and what was shared and where we could go as we were expecting the entire house. Overall would not stay here again, very disappointed vrbo allows places like this to operate.

After coming to Canada 25 years ago to study at UBC, I earned my Chartered Professional Accountant designation—but nowadays, I spend more time making videos, walking my little dog Mac (a.k.a. my second son), and dreaming of setting sail on a cruise ship.
I live in beautiful West Vancouver and have a soft spot for good food—so much so that I happily pay to eat whatever the chef cooks! My place is in a contemporary building built in 2018, and I take pride in keeping it clean and comfortable for my guests. I personally handle bed making, cleaning, and your check-in guide to make sure everything feels just right.
Fun fact: I’ve made a ton of tax seminar videos (yes, really!). My most useless skill? Overthinking everything. Favorite high school song? Hotel California, of course.

Public education in West Vancouver is among the best in the Greater Vancouver area. That’s why we moved here when our son was attending elementary school. In the blink of an eye, more than a decade has passed — our son is now studying at the university in Toronto, yet we are still unable to sell this ordinary home located in a wealthy neighborhood. We’ve had no choice but to remain here, continuing to shoulder the burden of high property taxes and ever-increasing home insurance costs. The short-term rental unit was set up specifically to help cover these two expenses, not to make a profit, but simply to generate enough income to pay taxes and insurance. It also serves as an affordable, safe, and conveniently located place to stay for visiting guests.
