Welcome to our paradise in the Northwoods! We are located on a secluded lake peninsula. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee on our beautiful deck overlooking the clear waters of Spider Lake in Mercer, the premier lake in Northern Wisconsin. Walk down the stairs to your personal dock and take your boat out to fish, tube, ski or whatever your pleasure. Stroll our 657 feet of private lake frontage and enjoy an evening bonfire at the lake's edge. Summer or winter, our lake lodge offers you all the comforts of an upscale resort with the privacy you desire.

With over 3,000 sq ft of finished living space you have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay. We have decorated our home with beautiful rustic log furnishings. We have three bedrooms and a bonus room that will accommodate eight adults. The house also has three full bathrooms, two stone fireplaces, a finished entertainment area that includes a large screen Smart TV, shuffle board table and bar for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully supplied for all your culinary needs. A washer and dryer are provided for you convenience. Three seasons room and large outdoor deck with gas grill.

If you are looking for wildlife our guests normally see, deer, turkey, bald eagles, loons, flying squirrels, pileated woodpeckers and more... Our retreat offers our guests the privacy they want while only being 5 miles from stores and restaurants of downtown Mercer.

PET FEE is for one dog. We will allow two dogs under 50 lbs. but there is an additional fee for the second dog.

Beautiful home! Perfect place to get away. Unfortunately, there is not a hot tub as owner said VRBO won’t remove it as an amenity. It is actually the master bathroom jacuzzi. We had a wonderful stay. Spacious, clean and perfect for 8 people. Just a short drive to the WinMan trails.

Our third stay here at this beautiful home, which should tell you how much we love it here. We thought about going somewhere different for a change, but after reviewing the area, this is hands down the best place and location. We were blessed with tons of snow this trip, which made things even better. Communication with Lisa was, as usual, excellent from start to finish. Lisa is an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is what makes this beautiful house a home. We highly recommend this home! And, yes, we will be back for a fourth visit.

We survived the Thanksgiving Blizzard of 2025! This house is not only beautiful, but fully prepared to keep you warm and safe when Mother Nature arrives in the form of 30” of snow in a day and a half. The generator kicked in and ran like a dream for the duration of our stay.

We had a wonderful time, Lisa is a wonderful host and her property is gorgeous! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck enjoying the lake views. We also rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed many evenings on Spider Lake. We would definitely stay at this property again. Shoutout to Black Bear Boat rental, top notch service on the pontoon rental!

Check-in was seamless. The home was very clean and well kept. Furniture very comfortable. I brought a trolling motor for the aluminum fishing boat provided. I did bring about 150 feet of extension cord down to the dock to charge the battery each day. You’ll need every bit of it. The home has no air conditioning. It was very hot the first few days of our stay. The provided fans did help. It’s not so much a complaint, I’m sure the weather was so hot day and night and the house didn’t really get a chance to cool at night. Like I said the fans made it tolerable during those days. With it being so hot, the fishing was so so. The lake is very quiet. The loons were pretty magical at night and in the mornings. We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend

Absolutely beautiful!

This house checked all the boxes for our family. The house is beautiful, well-appointed (including the kitchen for a family that likes to cook), and has multiple spaces to connect with family. The unexpected bonus was the amazing fishing on the lake. My husband hooked 3 musky! We'll be back next year to see if he can actually land one! ;-)

Great family getaway on the lake!!

Exceptionally maintained and decorated Lakeview home with room for the whole family, including the dog. Screen porch with a beautiful setting for meals. Great views of the lake lake from every room what else service walkout basement with entertainment for those rainy days If you're bringing a boat, make sure you're checking in on Saturday and out on Saturday because that's the only time you can get on the launch. It would have been nice to have power down by the dock for charging both batteries. So bring a very long extension cord.

Very Clean and close to trails

We go to Wisconsin every year to UTV ride and this house was close to trails so worked out perfect for us and close to town to go get food! Lisa was great to work with answered any questions I had!

Great location

We had a family vacation here the summer of 24'. The house is beautiful and sits on a great property overlooking the lake. We rented a boat and found that it is fairly difficult to have a boat delivered as the pubic boat ramp, cannot accommodate a pontoon boat, and the resort that allows people to use their ramp only allows it a couple of days a week. there are a lot of steps down to the dock, but we had family members that were in their 70's with us and they were fine, they just took their time. I was a little concerned when I learned the house did not have AC, but we only had one evening where the house seemed a little stuffy, so it ended up being a non-issue. Would recommend this property and would definitely stay her again.

We loved the home, it was beautiful, clean and well stocked kitchen. Our one concern was that one bedroom didn’t have any window, so just wanted anyone renting to be aware of that!

Spider Lake Getaway

This property and home are excellent. It was a wonderful location for a family lake vacation. I would recommend renting a boat if staying in the summer. There is a canoe and rowboat but having a pontoon boat would have made it much more enjoyable. The only other thing to be aware of is the lack of high speed internet. The location is remote and both cell service and internet are spotty. Not a problem if you are there to relax, but since we had one person who had to work some of the time, we had to make a trip into town to the library for a work zoom call. Again - not really an issue if you are vacationing and not trying to remote work! We would certainly return to this property and recommend it to others. Thanks for a great week!

Fabulous home

This is our favorite VRBO ever. Obviously, as we have stayed here twice and hope for more visits. This beautiful home has everything you need, in a gorgeous setting. I hate to rave about it in fear that everyone will want to come here! It's awesome.

Love this house. We have a couples trip each year to the Northwoods. We have stayed here twice and the house is very very nice! Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Wonderful relaxation awaits you!

We were so impressed with this house, the property, and the views. It was the perfect weekend stay for our two families that live in different states to meet up. Not only was it a luxurious stay on the inside, but the entire vibe of this location left us soooo relaxed. Smiles and laughs were abundant all weekend long! The house was clean, comfortable, and the manager was so responsive that when I’d text her, she’d call me back. I cannot rate it high enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We have been enjoying summer and winter vacations in the Manitowish Waters/Mercer area for over 20 years. We have been looking for the perfect home for our family of 8 to enjoy. When we found Tall Pines, we knew it would be the perfect vacation retreat for our family, friends and future renters.

We fell in love with the 657 feet of beautiful lake frontage on secluded 2 acres surrounded by tall pine trees. Being at the top of the hill looking down on the lake provides fantastic views.

The house is very comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for a large family.
