We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the private bunk space so they didn’t have to hear dad snore lol. It was definitely the most affordable option in the area!

Beautiful cozy stay in paradise valley

Property is quite small but with a surprising amount of comfort. Perfect for settling in after a long day of adventuring. Hosts were kind and quick to respond. Recommend for a couple of nights or a quick stop over.

Cute and cozy

What a cute cozy cabin! It provided everything we needed - a comfortable bed, nice hot water in the shower, a small coffee bar, air conditioning and good wifi. The location was perfect for our visit.. A major plus was that it was incredibly clean. We would definitely stay there again.

The perfect base camp for Paradise Valley!

We had a great stay. Great communication from the host’s, making the check-in process very nice and easy. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Also, the location was perfect for hitting the water during the heat of the day and then heading to music at Pine Creek Lodge in the evening. Looking forward to our next visit!

The cabin was clean, stocked with essentials, and the perfect cozy place to rest after a long day. The location is great (close to hot springs and other local spots) and the views were amazing, I will definitely plan to stay again!

Dead flies on windowsills. My socks were dirty after walking around. No toaster or can opener, but the host did bring us a toaster when we asked for one. More of a hotel style then a home with amenities I would have stayed in a hotel closer to the entrance for the price.

Hi there! We’re EJ and Natalie, the proud owners of Yellow Stonefly Cabins.

Our journey together started over a decade ago at Montana State University where we discovered our shared passion for the outdoors. Though we both grew up in Colorado—Natalie in the mountain town of Crested Butte and EJ in the cow town of Greeley— Montana has always had our hearts.

EJ has a degree in Fish and Wildlife and has spent years working with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, exploring the mountains, rivers, and backroads of this incredible state. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and never passes up an opportunity to fish. Natalie, on the other hand, has spent the last five years managing vacation homes in Big Sky, helping travelers experience the magic of Montana firsthand. Together, we’ve built a life centered around adventure, whether it’s casting a line at sunrise, hiking to a new alpine lake, skiing through fresh powder, or loading up our Airstream for a weekend escape.

No adventure is complete without our two Labrador retrievers, Honey and Bo, who rule our world (and would argue that they actually own the cabins). If you see them trotting around the property, just know they’re on very important business—mostly greeting guests, sniffing out the best trails, and scouting for snacks.

In November of 2024, we took a leap and purchased this special property, fulfilling a dream we’ve had for years. We instantly fell in love with the charm of these cabins and the breathtaking setting of Paradise Valley, and we knew we wanted to create a space where others could experience the same sense of peace and adventure that we feel here.

We have big plans in store—from exciting new additions to thoughtful little spruce-ups—all with the goal of making Yellow Stonefly Cabins an even more welcoming and beautiful retreat. This summer will be a busy one, but we’re embracing every moment of it, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you.
