Comfy Home in the Adirondacks, close to Gore Mnt, hiking & snowmoble trails

The home has an open floor plan with a full working kitchen, large dining area and comfortable living room with wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one with a full-tub/shower and the other with a shower.
Bedroom 1, the master bedroom, has a queen size bed, and bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen and a twin size bed. Both bedrooms are spacious and have closets.
The loft area has 3 twin beds.
There is also a mud room with washer and dryer.
Home has phone, internet and DISH TV
Linens are provided but please bring your own beach towels for outdoor use.
Our home is located on a private road minutes from the center of town with private
access to the Cedar River and on-site nature trail. In the warmer months, perfect for an easy walk from your door to the soothing sounds of the cascading river water. In the Winter, right on the Indian Lake snowmobile trail with easy access to Blue Mountain Lake, Speculator, Long Lake and the Moose River Plains trail system. Skiing at Gore Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Indian Lake also has its own ski hill and ice skating rink to enjoy.
Spring season begins with whitewater rafting down the Hudson River, launching right
from Indian Lake. The area offers endless outdoor fun but also is centrally located for exploring all the area has to offer – museums, movie theater, shopping, restaurants, water parks, golf, leaf-peeping and scenic drives in the fall...
The town of Indian Lake offers a full calendar of activities and events for all seasons. Please check out the Indian Lake website to see what the town has planned for the year.

Beautiful place with quiet, peaceful setting. Private access to Cedar River. Several lakes and hiking trails close by. Host was great.

The “cabin” (it’s a lovely home!!) was perfect for a quick trip with a friend to the Adirondacks to see the trolls at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake and the Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake. The foliage is beginning to turn, and the home was situated perfectly to see both of these area attractions. The house was a great fit for us! The fireplace would be fabulous in cooler weather and wood is provided. Check in and check out instructions were clear. We only used the downstairs bedrooms, both of which were very spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This rental is super! It was like the owners lived there and let a good friend use it while they were away from home.Fast wi-fi, Dish network, comfortable furniture, and a new, modern kitchen that would suit any chef. Not an empty drawer or cabinet. All filled with everything needed to cook and eat a meal.This is the first VRBO I have rented. The owner was super-prompt and thorough with all of my questions. Even called me to make sure I had all the information I needed. Super nice person!I was looking for an ultra-dark sky to view and photograph the milky way. This is as dark as it gets in the NE United States. I got a great photo!

This is a lovely home with easy access to the beauty of the Adirondacks. The owner is a wonderful person who made our stay just perfect. Easy to check in and all the ammenities you could ever need.

This rustic cabin was great for our hunting trip. It was very cozy. We really enjoyed evenings in front of the fireplace after being in the woods all day.

Great cabin. Clean comfortable well maintained and it was very easy to communicate with the owner. We were thankful for the wood for the fireplace as the temps were in the single digits. Looking forward to coming back.

Awesome Weekend Stay.

Great location, quiet, clean. Short walk to Cedar River on a maintained trail leads to mowed area next to the river which is a great spot to hang out. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed the relaxation this cozy cabin offers. From watching deer just yards from the back window as we drank our morning coffee, to playing checkers on the game table with a fire going- it was the perfect respite.

Weekend getaway in the mountains.

This was our 4th time staying here hope to continue the tradition next year. It is the perfect balance of seclusion but also in close proximity to all the ADK park has to offer. The host is responsive, the cabin is warm, inviting, cozy and really makes you feel like you are alone in the woods!

Perfect family getaway

We had a such a nice time in the Adirondacks. The house was perfect, clean, and comfortable. We were close to everything we wanted to do and had everything we needed to make a fun stay for the kids. Steve and Jean were responsive, wonderful hosts!

Beautiful cabin with so much to do in the area!

Me and my family had so much fun staying at your rental. The house was beautiful and really enjoyed taking advantage of all of the activities in the area. We took advantage of the trail down the road and the beautiful scenic area set up. We would love to stay again in the future.

Excellent place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay and owner was very nice and responsive. The neighborhood is lively and is Close to hiking and skiing. We love McSweeneys Irish pub. Thank you!

Welcome to our labor of love in the Adirondacks! Indian Lake is a special place for me as I have great memories of all the fun we had as kids on our Summer vacations in Indian Lake. I never thought I would return years later and be able to build my own place- it truly was and is a labor of love.

Indian Lake is the ideal Adirondack vacation spot to enjoy the serenity and beauty of nature as well as be centrally located to all the activities and amusements the area has to offer, and our home is perfectly located to be your hub to all your Adirondack adventures. Each season brings a new adventure: whitewater rafting, kayaking, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, ice-skating – your choice of outdoor activities is endless. The area offers all kinds of activities and attractions for all seasons.
The simple pleasure of enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch as the sun rises over the tops of the pine trees, to me that is always a perfect way to begin my Adirondack
day.
