This is a magical spot. The space was clean and the view is unmatched. Over the course of our stay we saw eagles, orcas, seals, and sea lions!

Unreal spot, unmatched anywhere. Host is low-key awesome. Very helpful when needed; otherwise invisible.Will be back.

John's place was absolutely stunning. Slow (everlasting) sunsets in the window seat were absolutely unmatched. Was incredible to spend time in the private cove and be just a short walk away down the beautiful driveway to Sharks Reef. Absolute treat! Note in the summer, bring an eye mask, as the sun rises early, and sets late, so the upstairs room has beautiful light.

The pictures can’t really do it justice, but an amazing property. Beautiful, secluded setting. The property itself is very tastefully appointed and the process was easy. Recommend following the directions provided by the host which were great. Don’t count on Apple or Google Maps to find it correctly.

The location was lovely with great views of the water (and an Orca that swam close to the shore!) The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen equipped for cooking. It was a delightful stay!

Great Cabin on Lopez Island

Loved the location and view - saw otters and sea lions in the back yard! Very peaceful and quiet, great reading nooks.

This property is stunning! Sweeping views across to San Juan Island, south to the Olympic Mountains, and north to Orcas Island. Love the private beach and relaxing on the porch watching the sea lions go by. The cabin has so much natural light and is warm and inviting. Really enjoyed our time here and hope to stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The property is beautiful and beautifully maintained. It was everything and more of what we hoped for. So serene, like staying in a park of our own. We spent hours just sitting on the deck enjoying what nature has to offer. We saw bald eagles and herons feeding, otters frolicking, and a variety of seabirds. At night, it was clear and we were able to see stars and even a few meteors. Indoors, the home is beautiful with so many windows to see out to the water at almost every angle. I was impressed with how spotless the windows were kept! Although we didn't cook much at the house, there were lots of dishes, utensils, pans and appliances if you are inclined. One thing to note if you plan on doing a lot of cooking, the refrigerator is small with a very small freezer section. This was not a problem for us as everything we brought fit with room to spare. I highly recommend the property and wished we would have booked a longer stay!

What a beautiful spot — both the well designed cabin and location on shark reef. The little beach was great for a cold dip. The deck was perfect for dinner and sunset cocktails. We saw whales twice cruising up San Juan channel. The cabin has everything you need and was so comfortable. Very relaxing spot. We will be back.

A Gem of a VRBO!

A gem of a vacation rental! It has the best of what the PNW/San Juan islands has to offer! Not only is it a gorgeous house with stunning views, but there's also a private beach w/ views of bald eagles, whales, otters, and sea lions! The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook meals at home while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.John was very responsive on the app and gave us helpful tips on crabbing and other activities in the area! Thank you, John, for a wonderful weekend!

What a great property! We saw bald eagles and many other birds, seals, and a sea lion, all from the patio. It was very comfortable, with one notable exception: it could be cold in the morning, even though we were there in August. There was a small space heater but it never got very warm. Aside from that, perfection.

A perfect secluded getaway for a couple or a small family with older kids. It sits on the water and you look at across at San Juan Island. No real beach, but an afraid secluded Inlet where you’ll see seals, otters, occasional sealions and birds, including bald eagles.
