Hurricane Update: Flippers (onsite restaurant), Lover's Key State Park and the beach of Fort Myers Beach are open and as viable as ever. Several of the restaurants on the south end of Fort Myers Beach remain closed, but there are many restaurants open on the north end of the island (via trolley) and Bonita Springs shopping and dining is at100%

Imagine yourself just steps from what the Travel Channel calls #4 of the 10 best beaches in the world! Nestled on Black Island where there are only 3 other buildings, Lover's Key Resort and views from our condo boast unprecedented water views, dolphins, manatee, sea turtles, and more. Don't confuse this unit with some of the smaller condos in the same resort. Not only are we located on the 10th floor where the views are nothing short of amazing, but our condo is much larger than many of the other units in the building. The unit has a full-size, modern, fully furnished kitchen, flat screen TV, king size bed, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, pull out sofa bed and more. Wireless Internet is also included free of charge. This is our favorite unit of the 2 that we own!!

On site, the resort offers an amazing geothermal pool with a cascading waterfall, hot tub, laundry, restaurant/bar (the best one on Fort Myers Beach, in our opinion), gas grills and more. While there is a small beach at the resort itself, Lover's Key State Park is only 1 mile away and easily accessible by trolley, private vehicle or on foot.

Lover's Key Resort is located on the more elegant and quieter, south end of the beach. Just a short trolley ride away (approx. 75 cents) is the hustle, bustle, and action of the north end of Fort Myers Beach and the famous Fort Myers Beach Times Square. There you will find countless bars, night, clubs, restaurants, and shops. Head south about 20 miles to Naples (no trolley service) and check out 5th Avenue and the world class shopping and dining that is offered there.

Boat rentals, fishing trips, golf courses, Everglades tours, kayaking, shelling, para-sailing, and more are all nearby.

Great place and views in peaceful Lovers Key

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay! As many have said, the view from the room/balcony is awesome. The unit is well stocked with kitchen items, towels, etc. We really appreciated the extra beach towels and beach chairs. We used the on-site laundry (on first floor near lobby) mid-week for a reasonable fee and didn’t have any issues. Lovers key is a really nice area if you want to have some distance from the crowded fort myers beach area. There is still some post-hurricane construction and bridge work going on in the area but it was to be expected and did not negativity affect our stay. If you are wanting to walk to the beach, as of date of this review, that is not possible due to construction. Thanks for sharing your place!

Best Host Ever

From the time we booked til the time we got home from the vacation, the host had great communication with us. By far the best experience we've had with renting vacation spots. The condo had the perfect views and felt very homie. A close drive to all the spots we wanted to visit. Would definitely rent again ❤️

Amazing Holiday Week!

My husband and I were thinking about renting a VRBO in Captiva, FL when this listing popped up as an alternative. The view from the condo was stunning and knowing that the community is in the process of rebuilding after Hurricane Ian, we decided to modify our location. The hosts are lovely. Honestly, they could have been more accommodating from the time I booked the reservation to the day we headed home. One of the best features is Flippers, an amazing restaurant right outside of the pool area. The ambiance, service, and quality were amazing! This is an A+ property and A+ hosts!

Beautiful condo with amazing views and nice jetted tub. Loved shelling on the beaches and visited the Lovers Key State Park that was close by. Would definitely recommend this condo and area to friends.

Incredible rental!:)

I honestly don't know where to start! But, I guess i'll start by saying the view from this condo is GORGEOUS. My husband and I saw sting rays, dolphins, and a manatee from the balcony. The ocean breeze directly complimented the quiet and serene view of the aquatic preserve. We enjoyed our morning coffee, and then each day took a short 5 minute drive to Lovers Key State Park Beach. This beach is not that crowded, and very peaceful especially early in the morning. Also, that brings me to the location of where this condo is. Lovers Key is very mellow and quiet. We felt like it was a perfect escape from hustle and bustle. The property is also close to many grocery stores, restaurants, and whatever else might be needed. Overall, this stay was wonderful. The unit was clean, check in was easy, and the location cannot be beat. We will be renting again next summer!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

We came down for our honeymoon. This place was amazing the view is breathtaking. We could sit in the bedroom, in the living room or on the balcony and still have an unobstructed view. We saw manatee, dolphins, and stingrays every day. If you are thinking about booking this place DO IT, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovers Key resort

Very nice place ti stay and I think reasonable. Dining next door at Flippers was very good. I was surprised to see every building is either new or completely refurbished. Due to the recent hurricane. But it us coming back strong. I would definitely recommend this condo for a nice quiet stay. Communication with the owner was easy and very quick.

Great and Relaxing

The condo was very clean and exactly what was pictured. The hosts were easy to work with and made great suggestions for things to do/places to eat! We never made it to the pool but it looks lovely! The view from the condo was spectacular and we loved having coffee each morning on the balcony!

See Dolphins, Manatee and Rays from the Balcony!

THE VIEW: Panoramic view of the bay. Fun to watch all the watercraft going to and fro. Partial view of sunrise and sunset from the balcony. Amazing to clearly see numerous dolphins, schools of fish, and even manatee and sting rays from the 10th floor balcony! Bring your long lens if you're a photographer. THE UNIT: It's adequately furnished but dated. The place was tidied up but not thoroughly cleaned. The bed is comfortable. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Air temperature control is inconsistent (warmer in the bedroom, colder in the main room). The pull out couch is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Very basic beach chairs are provided. Towels and linens are old but clean and functional. THE BUILDING: Lots of construction going on. It's noisy and messy but necessary. Because of construction equipment and vehicles, there is limited parking next to the building. Some mechanical problems (elevator, pool fountain, hot tub) affected us during our stay. The biggest problem was that the walking path to Lovers Key is blocked by construction. The ability to walk to Lovers Key was the reason we chose this place. We feel we should have been told that walking access is currently unavailable. THE RESTAURANT: Huge bonus is that Flippers, a restaurant immediately next to the pool, is EXCELLENT! Call ahead to get on the seating list!

We had a great time!! Weather was fabulous!! The condo, 1004, was perfect!! Great location on the water, 10th floor u could see everything in both directions. Check in was super easy. Hosts answered all my questions in a very timely manner!! Would definitely stay here again!!! Thank u!!

If only they could guarantee the weather!

Property was as described. Great view from 10th floor when it wasn't foggy or raining. A bit of a trip for open restaurants, but onsite restaurant was good. Property managers were very responsive to our questions and requests.

Lovers key stay

The views at this condo are amazing and I was able to sit from the living room and see many dolphins and loved watching them. The room was very clean and perfect size for the two of us. We had great food during our stay! The couple recommendations we would give is to upgrade the tv’s to smart tv’s as my husband couldn’t watch his home team in the playoffs. Also the bed/pillows could be a little more comfy. Would recommend renting a car if you stay in this area as there aren’t many attractions close by. Flippers restaurant on the premise is very good but costly for everyday eating. Thank you for sharing your condo with us we truly enjoyed our stay!!

Quiet property

While we love vacationing in this area of Florida, it can be quite busy with heavy traffic. This property offers a quiet respite. Although there is still construction going on here from the hurricane last year, the mornings and evenings were quiet. The pool and hot tub are fantastic! We even had dolphins swimming out in the water right in front of our living room windows one morning. This property will surely be even more of a gem when all of the construction is finished. Also, the hosts were very available with any questions we had.

Great view and observation point

Great view from the 10 th floor was amazing. very clean and private. Saw multiple sharks, dolphins, birds and entertained by jet skis and boaters, . Lucky to see space X launch a rocket. Close to Lovers Key beach and wildlife trails.

Lover's Key Condo

The unit is wonderful, but Ft. Myers Beach area is not ready for tourists yet. Devastation from Hurricane Ian and construction is everywhere. There is also major construction elsewhere in and around the building, so it's quite noisy. Loved the unit and would like to go back when things quiet down.

Beautiful views and great accomodations

My wife and I stayed here four nights. The views from the windows and the deck are beautiful. The condo was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Tina and Dave are great hosts and promptly replied to our questions. We used the fitness center daily, which has weight machines, dumb bells and cardio machines. We enjoyed time by the pool also, but spent more of our time on the beaches. restaurant, which is right next door, has amazing food. We ate there twice! We decided not to rent a car and used the trolley to get to town square (north) and Lover's Key State Park (south). You can download an app that provides the trolley route and buy an all you can ride trolley pass for $2 per day. We got groceries, pizza and wine delivered by Instacart and Uber Eats. You can still see the evidence of Hurricane Ian on the resorts, but the beaches are as beautiful as they ever were. We enjoyed meals at multiple restaurants, ate ice cream on the beach, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We plan to return.

Wundervolle Ausblicke

Das Appartement war mit allem ausgestattet,was man benötigt.Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.Schon zum Frühstück haben wir den spektakulären Ausblick genossen.Jeden Tag Delphine und andere Meerestiere beobachtet.Die Lage zum statepark ist sehr gut.
