Really nice property and the check in was so easy. We got married that weekend and it was a really nice getaway after being with family for 48 hours. One thing we were bummed out about was that the hot tub took 2 hours to heat up and we were never available to do that and always showed up late and left early due to our rehearsal and wedding. But if we had time we really wanted to try out the w hot tub and sauna.

Relaxing Getaway

The property was quiet, cozy and relaxing, exactly what we needed as a little getaway from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

this cabin was perfect! Clean, cozy, so so sweet. Alison was so responsive and helpful and the outhouse was totally fine - and I’m not a camping type! Highly recommend! We’ll be back.

We called this one the cocoon

My stay at the Writers Cabin was beyond what I expected. the small attention to details, the cleanliness of the space, I felt so comfortable to stay there alone. Tons of access to nature, a short walk to the river to enjoy a fresh dip. A lovely fire pit area. I also got some of the best sleep being lulled by the frogs and birds. Allison was such a sweet and accommodating host. Making sure I had everything I needed, made the sauna and hot tub easy to use and such a fab addition to enjoy. Thank you so much Wilder Co. I will absolutely be back xoxo

We drove in to a beautiful property. We met our host, as she checked if we had any questions. Our tiny home was styled in a simple way with fun local art accents. We enjoyed sitting outside with a fire. The second night we relaxed in the sauna, shower, bath retreat. I felt amazing and so relaxed afterwards. We hiked, shopped and visited local restaurants. Everything was only minutes away. Of course we had the most beautiful weather there and even walked down to their river/boat area to relax. The best art of our trip was the hospitality. Alison made us feel like we were staying at a friends cabin. We will definitely be visiting her other vrbos.

A balm for the spirit

I sought out the Writers Cabin for some much needed solitude, reflection, and relaxation, and it could not have been more perfect. The cabin itself is comfortable and beautifully appointed, each thoughtful detail carefully considered--robes for guests, a reading light by the bed, olive oil and kosher salt for cooking. The setting is beautiful, the St. Croix River within walking distance--in my short stay, I saw swans, geese, eagles, and deer. Looking up at the stars from the the wood-fired hot tub was such a treat, and I was thoroughly relaxed after spending time in the spacious sauna. I left feeling completely reset and recharged, and I highly recommend the Writers Cabin for anyone seeking a simple but restorative retreat.
