--Pool is unheated, but can be heated for an additional fee of $100/stay (3 day-stay). Depending on the weather, it might take overnight to get the pool up to temperature so if you want it heated, please arrange it ahead of time.

The home appears to have been built in the ealy 70's. Which is fine. However, really the updates that have been made are just int he kitchen and dining area.

Outright negligence. 1500 characters is not enough for a comprehensive review. This booking cost 4,000 for a one-week stay. The floors throughout the home are structurally compromised shifting dangerously underfoot, all furniture required cleaning before use due to extensive cobwebs, insect infestations, and rodent droppings, a pervasive odor permeated every room, electrical hazards with exposed live wires protruding from wall openings, the upstairs section appears untouched since the 1970s, soap scum, multiple broken door hinges requiring you to lift the door so the door may fit into the frame correctly to close all of the way, the grill was covered in old food debris and spiderwebs, rendering it entirely unusable, the gas fire pit was disconnected and nonfunctional, the pool was closed upon arrival; subsequent investigation revealed murky green water that posed clear health risks, most of my family did not feel comfortable to use it, the slide had rust and fiberglass splinters, again, not usable, improperly patched holes in the second-story deck fencing. When these issues were reported immediately to the host, they responded, "If we didn't like it, we could leave." Mind you, we were all from out of town, and it was not possible to find anything else. VRBO responded with zero concern as well. The host also double-booked the pool for an entire day to a private swim lesson with only a few hours notice. 10/10 nightmare, fraudulent advertising, and dismissive customer service.

Thank you for the feedback. Future readers, please take this review with a grain of salt. Yes, the bathrooms upstairs are dated, as shown in the photos. No bait and switch here. The swim lesson arrangement is clearly stated in the listing. The property is priced appropriately, especially when you consider private pool and private access to the lake. I was distressed at their concern that the place was not clean, but they wouldn’t provide any photos for me to make this assessment for myself. We’ve never had a rodent problem. It seemed that they just really wanted a discount. Still, we went over to address any issues that they had. We found the pool was balanced and clear. We have photos. Kindly, we brought them drinks and an extra lake toy—a giant floating trampoline. Unfortunately, our goodwill was misplaced. They had extra guests over every night and day. They caused the damage to the bedroom doors. Excessive trash. They did not follow house rules about parties and end of stay clean-up. They left urine-soaked bedding on the pool table, necessitating extra cleaning. The worst part was that they hosted a massive water balloon fight in the pool area. We found pieces everywhere—melted into the concrete because of the heat, in the skimmer, and some even found their way into the pool pump. Our pool pump now needs to be replaced. It’s hard because I love this property and want to share it with people who will love and honor it. 99% of our guests do.

Amazing location

Loved the location and had some great amenities: kayaks, pool, big dining room table. Some small things weren't available, but we contacted the owner and they got them to us within a few hours. Three main things that would have made the trip better 1. The availability of the grill wasnt immediate. We had to cook the steaks we purchased in a frying pan because we didn't get the grill until the day after we requested it. 2. The AC stopped working downstairs and then upstairs. Although they got someone out there to review it the next day and provided fans, the downstairs AC wasn't fixed while we were there. The upstairs self-resolved, but only after a warm night.3. The patio was amazing but there were lots of webs, dirt and leaves everywhere. We couldn't immediately enjoy the area and it took a little bit of effort to clean it off. It would be helpful of the cleaning crew I've done this before we got on property. It looked like they just focused more on the inside cleaning though.Last thing that I forgot to mention to the owner was a large hole in the patio fencing that posed as a safety hazard with the little ones. We just put one of the chairs in front of it but that's something that could be easily fixed.

I love Stansbury Park. I tell my kids that they are living a golden childhood. They can bike anywhere--school, grocery, parks, golf course, snack shops. They spend all summer in the lake, either swimming or kayaking. Kayaking seems to be their preferred mode of transportation and why not? They can get to four playgrounds, pickleball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, disc golf, observatory, the library and shave ice all from the water! Put your car keys away and try it yourself!
