We loved our month-long stay at the Cabin on Stringer! This A-frame has the charm and character of a true rustic mountain lodge while still being comfortable, spacious, and family-friendly. The vaulted wood ceilings, large brick fireplace, hunting-lodge décor, and open kitchen/living area gave us exactly the authentic cabin feel we were hoping for. The huge loft overlooks the living area and has plenty of beds, a foosball table, oversized bean bags, an amazing collection of books, its own A/C, and an upstairs bathroom. We would have preferred tile rather than carpet in that bathroom, but the loft was a wonderful space for kids and grandchildren. The cabin is perfect for gatherings, with a large dining table for 10, four bar stools, a wine fridge, two refrigerator/freezers, and plenty of kitchen space. The outdoor space was another highlight. We enjoyed the two propane grills, including one with a flat-top griddle, and especially loved the hanging porch lights in the evenings. A covered deck or a few more umbrellas would have added welcome shade in August. The quiet wooded location was ideal for walks and bike rides, with a playground nearby and plenty of room for our grandkids to play. They especially loved having space to drive their little motorized Can-Am around the property. There was also plenty of parking, which made having family and guests visit very easy. Overall, this was a wonderful place to spend time and make memories!
