We invite you to come and stay in our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the Historic District of Uptown Whittier. We are centrally located between Disneyland and Hollywood/ Universal Studios with easy freeway access to all the tourist attractions and beaches in LA and Orange County.

This house is perfect for individuals, families, groups, sports teams, corporate training seminars, ladies get away. We are walking distance to Whittier College, 10 minute drive to Biola College, Friendly Hills Golf Course and Rose Hills Memorial Park. Located only minutes away from miles of hiking, running and mountain bike trails in the local Whittier Hills.

Located just steps from a variety of great restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries shopping and a movie theater in Whittier's Uptown Village. Come have a glass of wine at the Bottle Room, enjoy a delicious meal of the best barbecue in town at Steve's BBQ, the Italian flavor Datillo's or the Spanish cuisine of Phight.

Just a short drive to City of Industry business district, City of Industry Golf Course/ The Palms Resort, Pomona Fairgrounds, Rio Hondo College, Rio Hondo Police Academy.
Great for traveling nurses as PIH /Whittier/Kaiser and Rancho Los Amigos Hospital are all close by.
Close to the Staples Center (Home of the LA Lakers, Clippers and Kings), LA Fashion District, LA Convention Center, LA Live, Coliseum, USC , Exposition Park . And if you want to shop or gamble, we are only a 10 minute drive away from the Citadel Factory Outlet Shopping Mall and the Commerce Casino.

Come and enjoy our beachy atmosphere with a fully stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals. Plus there is a washer/dryer for your use , plenty of off street parking and of course free wifi (wireless internet). In the morning enjoy a cup of coffee on the private patio and in the evening watch a movie in the comfy living room. When you stay at our place we want you to feel at home. We look forward to your stay !

Needs a thorough cleaning

The house was nice, but definitely could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The floors needed to be swept, there was sand in one of the beds, the master bathroom had cobwebs. We inquired about the thermostat being lowered due to my moms medical condition and never received a response back. Neighborhood is quiet, but there is not alot of parking.

Great stay in Whittier

Nice property as described in the listing. Very close and a short walk to shops. The host was flexible with the check in and out times, which was much appreciated. We would stay there again if back in the area.

Family enjoyment in a sad situation

I booked this unit for my adult children, their spouses and teens. They enjoyed the unit thoroughly. Easy access to morning coffee and doughnuts and not far to an In and Out. Coming from Florida for their grandmother / great grandmother's funerals (both my mom and my husbands mom), this unit provided a good place for them to decompress and enjoy each other. Thank you

Visit to see friends and family

We came back to Whittier for a reunion. This house is located in Uptown Whittier close to all restaurants/bars & even church. We each had our own spacious room. The living areas were great. We will definitely be back!

Great house for adult family

We were looking for a house that would work for our family that consisted for 4 adult couples. So many were geared towards families with multiple children and had a lot of bunk beds. This house provided 4 separate bedrooms with good sized beds so we didn't have to share rooms. Kitchen well stocked. Pantry items meant coffee, filters, spices even cooking spray which was nice as we made breakfast every day. No ice maker, but ice trays provided. Plenty of pillows and linens for 4 couples. Nice and roomy. The new sectional meant, as a family, we did have to pull over a couple of dining room chairs to all sit in the living room at the same time. Ceiling fans helped keep the house cool enough. Kitchen and dining table nice to gather around. We were able to park on the street. Once we got right in front of the house. Even on the most challenging night when they were street cleaning on Monday, we only had to park at the end of the block. Universal was quite a drive with traffic, but Disneyland was not bad at all. Check in process super easy. House information binder very useful. House worked very well for us and we enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

Bill’s home is wonderful. The beds are comfy. The house is clean. Kitchen is great. The neighborhood is usually quiet. We have stay a couple of times and each time was a a pleasant stay. Thanks so much Bill. Bill is a great host and replies back pretty quickly too. Just FYI when visiting Cali in general. California laws though pot/weed is legal to smoke and u can smell it when outside and where ever u visit. Keep the windows closed.

Much better than expected!

First impression- WOW! House is very spacious and clean. Stocked with every need, down to 1st aid kit & flashlights. Church across the street with beautiful gardens. Park with playground 2 blocks west. Walking distance to downtown events, such as Wednesday night food truck festival and Friday morning farmers market. All the conveniences of city life, yet the house was very quiet inside. Owner was very helpful with local recommendations and accommodating a special request. Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to.

Short Stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Bill and Carrie’s lovely home. It was very clean and exactly as the pictures shown. A huge plus is the wheelchair accessibility walk way leading to the front door entrance. It was perfect to wheel my dad up to the front door. Bill and Carried were very responsive and stayed in communication with me when I had any questions leading up to the time of our stay. They were also very kind and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location near to stores, restaurants and downtown.

Great Stay

We had a great experience with staying at Bills place. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had great pressure. The house was clean. The house was very close to our conference as walking distance. The parking was street parking which was fine but had to play shuffle with the car on Monday for the street sweeping. It worked out just fine. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils. Plenty of towels for the bathrooms. There is a very cute patio to hang outside if u want your morning coffee. The washing machine and dryer worked great. Bill was very accommodating to us and very communicative. We will seeing you again in June. Thanks so much for accommodating our group.

Our Second Home

This was our 4th time staying in this absolutely perfect house. We brought my dad home to his birthplace of Whittier one last time and it was wonderful having a home where all his nieces and nephews could come have a visit. EXCELLENT location, walking distance to everything in uptown, easy parking, wonderful house, and Bill is a great host. The thermostat was acting up when we first got there and he came right away and REPLACED it with one that works great. I am quite certain we will be staying again.

The house was beautiful and provided us a safe place to rest for my older brother's funeral. The only problem was the heater did not go up beyond 68 degrees. This made the home extremely cold. Besides this, we had a great experience at William's home.

Awesome place to stay between Disneyland and Universal!

Everything was super smooth from communication - check out. We loved the chalk board w suggestions for local places to go. The only notable thing we noticed were that the beds were quite uncomfortable- still manageable for a weekend though. Good little place to stay!
