Charming 2-bedroom waterfront cottage overlooking Penn Cove

Nestled amongst the evergreens, this cozy seaside cottage sits perched on a sunny bluff overlooking the beautiful waters of Penn Cove. Enjoy panoramic views of the cove, the Cascade and Olympic mountains, and the picturesque town of Coupeville with its historic wharf and waterfront. Relax on the huge deck as you watch eagles soar overhead or turn your eyes to the sea and be soothed by the sight of a passing sailboat. Watch for seals and otters playing or maybe even spot an orca or gray whale that occasionally make their way into the cove.



This cedar shingled cottage is well equipped. Its tasteful nautical theme fits the seaside surroundings wonderfully. An open, light filled floorplan is warmed by wide plank pine flooring throughout most of the house. The clean, bright kitchen with abundant counter space is equipped with many appliances and utensils and is ready for your culinary creativity. Relax in the open living room as you gaze out the large glass windows at the water, or light the candelabra in the decorative beach rock fireplace and enjoy a book. Enjoy views of the cove from the comfort of the spacious king size bed in the Master suite. The master also features deck access and a custom tile shower in the bathroom. Additional guests can be accommodated in the second bedroom which features both Queen and Twin size bed. Beach access is a walkable distance down the road.

The property was very comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped; the bed in the master was very comfortable. The view was magnificent and the deck chairs from which to take in the view were great. 3 Sisters market close by is always a fun place to check out. Check-in was trouble free.

This property was absolutely perfect for our stay! The home was centrally located between Oak Harbor and Coupeville with lots of great restaurants & shopping. Check in was a breeze. The home was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and the view couldn’t be beat. We will definitely come back here again the next time we are in the area.

Our family of five truly enjoyed our stay at this coastal‑themed home. It was thoughtfully outfitted with everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the extra touches like the local coffee beans. The view is incredible, and we loved ending each evening with s’mores by the fire pit. Communication with the host was seamless and made our stay even better.

This place was perfect for our stay. The entire place was spotless upon arrival, check in was super easy, the backyard and the view are stunning. Spent our nights outside by the fire looking at the stars. During the day we saw multiple bald eagles and even a whale sighting!This was one of the most relaxing trips we’ve taken in quite awhile. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage on Whidbey Island. The two-bedroom, two-bath home was comfortable, very well equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.The water view across the entire back of the house is beautiful, and the backyard fire pit overlooking the water made for a memorable evening.Everything was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and easy to enjoy from the moment we arrived. We would gladly stay here again.

The cottage was beautiful as depicted. The view of Penn Sound is spectacular. We did assume there was a full size couch, but I guess we didn't look closely to the pictures. That said, there was more than enough comfy living room seating for 2-3 but I think it would feel crowded with more adults than that. The gate is locked to the stairs down to the beach and I can see why with how steep they are. It would have been lovely to be able to walk down to the beach when the tides out, but there are plenty of close places nearby to get to the water. The rental was easy to get into and super clean and well stocked. It is so appreciated to have spices and the basics for cooking. Thoughtful touches too with local chocolate and coffee for you when you arrive. The host was responsive and quick to message back.

Perfect location with a great view

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the cottage. We especially loved watching the sailboats in the cove. The home was very clean and comfortable and thoughfully stocked with all the necessities. The location was perfect for day trips and island hopping.

Beautiful setting, well appointed cottage, and a place my daughter, son in law and grandbaby will be returning to again. Owner is very thoughtful and made sure everything was in place for a perfect stay. Gorgeous views, fenced water side yard, kitchen and bbq for those who love to cook. Thanks again!

We are vrbo hosts ourselves on Maui ,As such we always look at a new property with a discerning eye.This property was simply outstanding! There was nothing left to the imagination. From the kitchen supplies, including cookware, spices and cleaning supplies everything you would need.The property met every expectation and more. The description and explanations of the property and its surroundings, are exactly correct. The views are out of this world. Eagles. Mountains, boats, and all else in this amazing world are right before your eyes. This property is absolutely amazing. It is very clean, well stocked and in a very safe location. And the view, wow! The view is breathtaking. I can’t say enough about this Cottage. All the rooms are perfectly sized. Large closets, large shower and comfy bed. The kitchen was great. I appreciated the complimentary starter coffee & chocolates. My favorite thing about the Cottage is the backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed the view and had a great time with family as we sat around the fire pit. To just sit and enjoy the ocean and watch the birds was heavenly. This was our first time to Whidbey and we are so grateful we found this beautiful Cottage. We will be back and we will definitely stay at The Cottage at Penn Cove again.

We stayed here for 5 nights with another couple. The home was perfect for the 4 of us. Everything was clean and well decorated for the area. We explored by day and sat around the fire in the evening. In the morning we enjoyed watching the wildlife. We saw many bunnies, a couple squirrels and a bald eagle every day. We took a walk down the street to the little pier. We saw starfish and some interesting birds. The area was so beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Perfect get away.Check in was very easy.We were lucky and got to see 2 white fawns while we out and about.I hope we get to return someday.
