Very happy with our stay here! The place was clean, warm, and comfortable. I really appreciated the easy check in/out procedures. I loved that we weren’t expected to complete a long list of cleaning tasks before checking out. Crib, pack n play, and high chair were available which is awesome for traveling with a baby.

The pictures were accurate, and the rooms were spacious. However, the space was not clean. There was an unpleasant smell near the entrance. The oven and coffee maker were dirty, and there were chemicals all over the oven. The TV controllers were not working, but they looked for them and gave us replacement controls. Bring your own towels because the ones they provided had a bad smell, even though we only used them to step on after showering. Considering the price, I don’t think it was worth it.

Pros: Good communication with host. Bus stop 104 was 1 block away, safe streets for walking at night, parking spot at the house (though tight for this Texas driver), lots of towels and sheets, nice pamper box with toiletries from the host and enough space to relax after being out all day. Floors, beds, and bathroom all clean and the AC! Quick response when we mentioned a funny noise with the plumbing. Countertop ice maker was nice.Cons: First sight of the house is concerning. Weeds in yard, bad smell in the entryway, door to entry and door to stairwell do not lock. The door to the apartment does lock, and after a few nights of nobody walking in, we felt safe. The metal blinds are bent, and I think only one could be adjusted. A smoke detector battery was beeping the entire 9 days we were there, I messaged the host, he said he wouldn't go into an apartment that was occupied, and at that point I wasn't sure which one was beeping. It was the hallway. Why not replace the battery when the plumber came? The drawers in bedrooms and bathroom were full, no space for us to unpack. I contacted the host, and he said he was glad I brought this and other housekeeping issues to his attention.

The apartment booked during the World Cup was ideal for myself and son with free driveway car parking and short walk to train station or bus with short journey into the city or 20 Uber arriving within minutes. The property was spotlessly clean, safe and we appreciated the very good communication and flexibility of getting access a few hours ahead of normal check-in time. It was a practical apartment but would question the listing description of “charming” and “enchanting ambiance” especially the downstairs entrance area where the two doors don’t shut right and don’t lock (main door to apartment was fully secure) and the apartment is showing signs of being a little bit tired but still worked very well for our purpose.
