Welcome to Royal Kahana 808. This beautifully remodeled coastal style 8th floor condo boasts expansive ocean and surrounding island views from multiple rooms. This condo can accommodate 4 people with its 1 bedroom and sofa sleeper. Stay cool year round with central AC throughout. The resort has many amenities including fitness center, oceanfront pool, BBQ, ping pong, seasonal beach, and more. Located in Kahana this resort is walking distance to beaches, shops, and restaurants. Book RK 808 today!
***Please note: This property is Hotel Zoned and NOT in danger of the possible upcoming short term rental ban.***
The layout:
Bedroom: Ocean view from this room. King size bed, dresser, 2 nightstands with usb chargers, TV with cable, ceiling fan, and sliding lanai door access that leads to lanai.
Bathroom: accessible from bedroom or living room and features walk in shower, single sink vanity, fresh towels, and luxury organic bath products courtesy of Stay Aloha.
Common area: Ocean and Molokai island view from the open floor plan consisting of a tasteful high end coastal aesthetic, a fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 4 people, Smart TV with cable, pull out queen sofa sleeper, and sitting chairs. There is a closet with beach gear which consists of beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler only.(NO snorkel gear)
Lanai; Seating for 4 with a view.
Stay Aloha provides a generous essentials starter kit. This includes laundry, luxury organic bath, and kitchen essentials. We do not drop extra. There is an Aloha welcome gift for you upon arrival as well.
***There is construction going on at this resort for stucco repair on the building. It does not disrupt any of the amenities like pool, fitness center, lobby,
elevators, etc. This is an older resort with an older aesthetic, please keep this in mind when booking***
The Royal Kahana has a beachfront swimming pool, beachfront BBQ area, complete on-site fitness room, ping pong table, shuffleboard, and an onsite Activities Center/Concierge. It is also ADA handicap approved with ramps and elevators. Across the street is Kahana Gateway Center, a small shopping center with restaurants such as the Maui Brewing Company. McDonalds, Whaler's convenience store, a gas station, a coffee shop, souvenir shop, and ATMS are also located in the Center.
Resort Parking: The resort charges $18.00 per day plus taxes and it is collected upon arrival at the front desk when you register your vehicle.
We do have a $75 Damage Insurance Fee that covers up to $1500 in damage for our guests. Accidents happen and we have you covered.
Beach information:
*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. The HOA, The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential. This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Photos taken on 1/16/2024 show useable beach, but this is not guaranteed.
PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are cleaned, inspected, and photo'd. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.
*We make no guarantee that properties around to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic, or other guests. Any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this rental or give guest any right to any refund, or rental adjustment. Located in Kahana on West Maui's coastline, this condo is less than a half mile away from a sandy beach at Pohaku Beach Park. This resort is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and beach rentals all within walking distance. A short drive away is Kapalua to the north and Ka'anapali to the south for more expansive shopping, dining, golf, and beaches.
