We had a lovely stay as a family at The Fox Den. The house is beautiful and an October visit was perfect for leaf turning. It was nice to find excellent quality shampoo, body wash, conditioner, laundry detergent, and dish detergent all supplied by our hosts. The beds were cozy and the living room/dining area is a great gathering place for everyone. We watched a movie downstairs on the big tv, and everyone was comfortable on the large sectional couch. We did not use the hot tub, but the grill provided a delicious dinner!The area offers a variety of hiking trips, from easy to challenging; grocery stores, restaurants and lovely craft shops are accessible; and my senior beagle had the time of his life. Vanessa and Paul were quick to respond and take care of an issue with a shower head for us.

Excellent location. Close to the marina but still feels like you are in a secluded retreat far away. Beautiful place and great amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Great weekend with family

We had a wonderful mini family reunion, home had everything we needed to prepare meals and play games. The porch was where we started our days and ended them watching fireflies in the trees. We will definitely stay there again

First, Vanessa is an amazing host, the best! She accommodated all of our needs. Her special touches on the cabin decor is well noted and special. They have worked very hard on this special retreat to make it their own and for others to enjoy. The location is wonderful to hiking and our favorite town of Clayton. Lots of property room for our dog too. We will be back for sure!

Vanessa’s home was amazing! We have a big family and we never felt crowded once. We loved how close we were to everything. Basically everything you need is at the house except food. Vanessa is excellent host. We had a small issue with the tub, after we reached out it was fixed within an hour. We definitely will stay again!

Nicest vacation house we’ve stayed in.

From start to finish this stay was easy, clean, friendly, & peaceful. The owners gave us recommendations on places to enjoy while we were there. The home itself is decorated well & obviously cleaned well. The location to lake Burton is perfect. You’re a VERY short drive to Las Padres where my family and I rented a boat and enjoyed the day on Lake Burton. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

We had a wonderful stay at Fox Den! Vanessa was beyond helpful and so friendly. She was so prompt on any and all questions I had regarding the property and let me know all the information about my stay with plenty of time to plan. The rooms were very clean and the primary bed was so comfortable. There is only a TV in the primary room if that is of importance for your trip needs?

Cozy Mountain Retreat with Peaceful Vibes and Beautiful Sunsets

We had an amazing stay at Fox Den Haven. The cabin is beautifully maintained, spacious, and set in a peaceful location that made for a perfect escape. The layout worked really well, with comfy king beds in every room and a cozy living area with a fireplace that we gravitated to every night. The outdoor porch was our go-to spot, we loved starting the day there with coffee and winding down in the evening with a glass of wine!The hot tub was another favorite, and the game room with ping pong kept everyone entertained. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in, and having an extra fridge downstairs was super convenient.We also appreciated how close it was to Lake Burton, hiking trails, and charming nearby towns. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of care into creating a welcoming and relaxing space.Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway with great amenities and a beautiful setting. We’d absolutely stay again.

Mountains, Water, Wildlife, Comfort, Coziness

My husband, son, doggie, and I enjoyed our recent stay at this lovely, spacious home which is super private and comfortable, but also RIGHT next to the marina with driveway access to the main highway. We didn't have a boat- but if you bring one to enjoy the lake- it should be easy to get it in and out of the property. My family and I have stayed at dozens of homes in and around this area, and the Fox Den Haven is one of our favorites. The home is hugged by the trees creating privacy, but the huge yard is cleared so there is room to sunbathe or play games or just enjoy nature. The home is well equipped and spacious with a large, elevated, covered outdoor deck. We've enjoyed both thunderstorms and evening cocktails on it. We once sat there and watched a bear meandering through the yard- which was THRILLING (and we still talk about it). Inside, there's an open kitchen and den with two bedrooms upstairs. If you need more space, there are a couple more bedrooms downstairs with a separate den area. This is perfect for sets of couples or two families. There's even a tiny house on the property that can be used for additional guest privacy or as a writer-style retreat from the main house.I would say this is a perfect spot for those searching for a lake getaway during the summer or a cozy winter hideaway!

The house was so cute and perfect for our family visiting for a wedding. The host was very responsive and communicative. We loved sitting out on the porch in the mornings for breakfast together and ending the night with the hot tub! Will definitely stay again.

Lovely property! We loved the hot tub. Beds very very comfortable!! Well stocked kitchen. Weber grill. You could definitely tell the owners spent time on high quality amenities. We rented a ski boat at Lake Burton and wake boarded all day! Could not ask for a better location!
