The house is beautiful and the communication with the owner was very thorough. Good directions and easy to follow. We (I should say my 18 month old grandson) did find two small separate piles of dog kibble on the floor - one in the sun room and one in the main living area. This was the most concerning to me, because my grandson had the food in his mouth. There were a couple of recessed lights burned out and the bedroom upstairs did not have a remote to turn on the TV. The guide book said we would have 2 pods of laundry detergent, and after loading the washer, there was no detergent to be found. These are small things, however, they were were important to us. However, it does not negate the fact that the home is beautiful and the owner was great. We enjoyed the house the playground the area and just being in a peaceful environment as a family. Grateful for the relaxing weekend.

I had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Arrowhead Lodge. The area was absolutely beautiful, especially with everything covered in snow — my German Shepherd loved the long walks, and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming.The house itself is huge, with lots of different spaces for families or groups to gather, as well as plenty of cozy corners for anyone who wants a little privacy to read or unwind. The game room was definitely a highlight — between the video games, air hockey, and pool table, there was always something fun to do.I also really appreciated the Christmas tree they had set up for the holidays. It made the living room feel especially warm and cozy. Some areas of the house could use a bit of updating, but overall the home was very comfortable, peaceful, and perfect for a quiet retreat.The owners, Three Daughters, were wonderful to communicate with. Don was always available, friendly, and helpful, and the thoughtful bottle of wine they left for me was such a nice touch.Overall, a great experience — relaxing, welcoming, and full of charm. I would absolutely stay again!

Our first impression arriving at the home was unexpected. The pictures in the listing represented clean and clear landscaping but the property had lots of moss growing over the slate tiles and around the home leading into the property. Two of the doors to the sunroom did not lock, which made my husband and family feel a bit insecure. However, the internal locks to the home itself worked. The icemaker to the refrigerator did not work for the entire stay. We contacted host in regards to the icemaker who assured us someone from maintenance would be out to fix it but noone ever came. The stove has a double oven but only the top rack was functional. It appears the cleaning crew does the bare minimum. The home was tidy but the rugs need a cleaning. The outside table near the grill area was very, very dirty, and my husband and I scrubbed it clean ourselves, so that we could sit and enjoy dinner outside as a family. The outside table could use a powerwashing.

We visit arrowhead lake every summer, this is the best house we've ever stayed at! Spacious and beautiful! Communication between the host deserves 100 out of 10. They are amazing with responding immediately with anything you might need! Can't wait to stay here again!
