Wake up above the Costa Rican jungle at Villa Lucia, an artfully designed two-bedroom retreat with breathtaking ocean, mountain, and rainforest views.

Relish your morning coffee with toucans' calls, dive into your pool overlooking a lush canopy, and enjoy seamless indoor-outdoor living on the gated private property in Ojochal, close to top local beaches and renowned dining.

The villa offers two bedrooms with queen-size beds, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and a private outdoor area, ideal for quiet mornings or nighttime stargazing. One of the bedrooms also includes a dedicated workspace with High-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for remote workers or digital nomads seeking productivity with a view.

The eastern side of the living room features a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, snacks, and refreshing fruit smoothies. While preparing your tropical treats, you, as a chef, can still enjoy the deck's view of the pool, the green jungle, and stunning sunsets.

Unwind under a covered terrace or take a swim in a private pool. Read your favorite book in the swing while wildlife is your neighbor. Toucans, howler monkeys, and black guans are frequent visitors, offering unforgettable moments just outside your door.

Whole-villa battery backup: Villa Lucia is equipped with a Sigenergy energy storage and backup system that automatically keeps the entire villa powered during most grid outages—helping prevent interruptions to Wi-Fi, cooking, lighting, appliances, and air conditioning. The system can provide up to 12 hours of backup under normal use, or approximately 4–6 hours with continuous, heavy air-conditioning use.

We loved our stay at Villa Lucia! It was in a great, safe location and close to waterfalls, shopping, and the whales tail. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds, toucans, and butterflies. The sunsets were amazing too! I recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the road easily.

Great pool deck to enjoy all the fabulous nature in a quiet neighborhood in the forest. Monkeys almost daily and yet minutes away from all that Ojochal has to offer. Had a Wonderfull stay.

Beautiful home in the thick of the jungle. A nature lover’s paradise. We watched the toucans, parrots and hummingbirds while drinking morning coffee on the deck. We even had some monkeys visit several times. There are so many windows, you can enjoy nature from inside the home. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The views from Villa Lucia absolutely took our breath away. It was by far the nicest place we've stayed. It was very clean and the property is very obviously well cared for. The drive on the dirt rough is long and rough-so be prepared. Peter does recommend 4x4. You truly are in the jungle. Bottled water, coffee. And earplugs were there waiting for us. The jungle gets surprisingly loud at night, and the rain can be loud as well.The villa and it's location do have some quirks to be aware of. We had a couple power and water interruptions that were resolved relatively quickly. The main living space is not fully sealed from the outside so the occasional bug does get inside. Peter provides tips for minimizing this -keeping lights dim in the evening and using candles rather than bright overhead lights. We were happy to do this, but could have benefitted from more lamps and/or candles as it was hard to see at night. We mostly spend the dark hours in the bedrooms as a result. When we arrived the villa didn't have any garbage bags and minimal toilet paper. An avoidable minor inconvenience that was resolved quickly by Peter and his team. Peter responded quickly to all our questions and concerns. Finally, we did have an unexpected visit from the pool maintenance crew. Again- a minor inconvenience but we would have appreciated being made aware in advance. Overall, this is a stunning place to stay if you're looking for great views off the busy road. Peter is a great host.

⸻Villa Lucia – Ojo, Costa RicaI had the most incredible stay at Villa Lucia in Ojo, Costa Rica. The home itself is stunning, with glass doors everywhere that truly bring the outside in — I felt surrounded by the jungle even while indoors. Every day I woke up to the sounds of monkeys and an amazing variety of birds, all set against the backdrop of lush, vibrant flora.The management was exceptional — attentive to every detail and making me feel like a true VIP. The amenities were completely five-star: a huge TV with Netflix for all my shows, comfortable beds, amazing showers, and spotless spaces throughout. Even the drive up to the villa was beautiful, adding to the experience from the moment I arrived. It was a twenty minute drive from the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen- El Pavon. I went there almost every day and there was never anybody there so I had the whole swimming pool beneath the waterfall to myself. There are world class, restaurants at the bottom of the mountain. I highly recommend Potz Bistro and Momento - the sushi place . It's right next to Botanica so stop in there and get your fill of lotions and potions.. I bought the most divine OUD and sent sticks that were imported from Bali.. I can't begin to tell you how nice Peter the owner and the management company was to me. They even sent someone over to fix my flat tire.. If you’re looking for a luxurious, nature-immersed stay with top-notch service, Villa Lucia is top notch perfection .
