Fantastic little cabin for weekend getaways, amazing view and very relaxing. The little extras like home made bread provided by the hosts was very thoughtful, especially after a long trip. Will definitely be coming back if we’re ever in the area.

Our stay at the Loft was absolutely wonderful! The location and the cabin are beautiful. The cabin was clean, it is really nicely decorated and well equipped.Caren and Bill are exceptional hosts- very kind, helpful and friendly. The photos don’t do the place justice, it’s even more beautiful. Perfect weekend getaway if you want to spend some time in nature. We will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful time at The Loft! The property is amazing – incredibly relaxing and intentional. Caren and Bill were also great hosts. After a quick tour of the property, we were left with fresh sourdough and eggs and some champagne they had treated us to because we were staying here on our wedding night! So thoughtful, beautiful space, perfect for a quiet and simple retreat. Only wishing we could’ve stayed a little longer!

We spent a wonderfully restful weekend at Caren and Bill's loft house. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching/listening to the birds. The house itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Highly recommend! And thank you to Bill and Caren!

I spent four nights solo at the Loft to work remotely in order to be able to make it to a wedding nearby. The Loft is a very quaint spot. My stay was very relaxing. The quiet spot right on the cove had great views. Internet was solid. The kitchenette and bathroom are small, but functional. The bed is very comfortable. The short walk down to the Loft is a pleasant stroll to the very private spot. The hosts were wonderful. Caren went out of her way to picked up some groceries for my stay. Bill was always friendly and a joy to chat with. The Sourdough and fresh eggs were delicious. I had a busy schedule with work and social events nearby. Getting back late each night was very safe. The path lights up as you head down. The hosts have really put a lot of thought and effort into making the unit a special spot.I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area. Thanks for everything.

The Loft was fantastic. We had plenty of privacy, but Carin and Bill were available to help in any way. They also brought us fresh crab dip and crackers which was above and beyond our expectations. The location is quiet and beautiful and so restful! I would totally recommend this to anyone that needs a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life!

We couldn't have found a more perfect place for our long weekend of R&R! "The Loft" is newly renovated and artfully decorated with everything one could need for a romantic get-a-away, including a very comfy queen-sized bed in the loft with breathtaking views of the Yeocomico River, a double kayak & canoe and an outdoor grille to cook your fresh-caught crabs. The serene beauty of the cove, attention to detail in the beautifully appointed Loft and the lovely, accommodating hosts made for a truly wonderful experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely place. It is a wonderful combination of a charming, cozy combination. And wonderful hosts. The place itself makes you feel like you’re in a combination, boat and treehouse. You are right on the water and the screen porch is wonderful along with the views. In the upper bedroom has wonderful views out the window to the water also. Plus all the wonderful plantings around in the yard. And serene quiet. We ended up birthing our small sailboat down at the dock which was perfect. Staying in this place made me look on Realtor.com about what was available in the area. Not really serious, but it would be such a delight to be able to also interact with the hosts. And not to be missed is Pearl a wonderful Dog that was very friendly and fun to have come visit.

Carin & Bill were amazing hosts, from the cart service and homeade sourdough at check-in to the surprise birthday crab cakes. Their level of hospitality was by far the best we have ever received. The cabin was a perfect little get away for our birthday-versary weekend. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets right on the water. We relaxed, fished, canoed, and we able to just unplug, "Off the grid" and let the sound of the crickets and water sooth our souls. It was exactly what we needed. We cant wait to book again.

This was just the most lovely place. Peaceful, and views from every room of the water. It was marginally warm to stay outside but in warmer weather the screen porch and deck would be wonderful. Although it’s not a huge place, lots of care and consideration has gone into making it livable as well as the finish details. Plus, the hosts were probably the nicest I’ve ever encountered, very generous welcomed us showed us around, but not intrusive. I hope it will be available when we come again. It was great to be able to anchor my small sailboat down at the dock. The attached picture was taken while sitting in the bed upstairs.

Look no further. Absolutely the best stay I have ever had, in any rental. This loft, in a perfect cabin on the water, is a tiny slice of heaven. Wake up in the coziest bed with a view of the rippling water and listen to the birds greet the day. Drink your hot coffee/tea that Bill and Caren have supplied, on the screened-in porch and decide how to spend your day in the gorgeous Northern Neck of Virginia. Will you kayak or canoe from their dock? Visit antique shops or farms then put your feet up while lounging on the couch? Perfectly appointed kitchen and living area- thick, fabulous towels, hot shower with all needed care products, and the ability to make the cabin perfectly hot/cold. Bill and Caren are amazing hosts and you will feel like this is a home-away-from-home. A visit from sweet dog, Pearl is a must, and go say hi to the chickens. Fall asleep to the sound of lapping water and night birds. Bring a good book and escape from stress. You won’t be disappointed. I did not want to leave.

Charming. Quaint. Quiet. One of the rare instances where the listing is exactly as described. Caren has made great strides to provide a lovely get away for anyone seeking quiet spaces and to be surrounded by nature. It was a wonderful weekend retreat

Great place for a real getaway! The hosts went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, and the cottage could not have been more comfortable or well appointed. Note that there is no television on property, and how delightful it was to be TV free for a weekend. Just a wonderful time!
